Riverside/San Bernardino County Unemployment is now at 13.9%
The unemployment rate in the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario MSA was 13.7 percent in June 2009, up from a revised 13.2 percent in May 2009, and above the year-ago estimate of 8.1 percent. This compares with an unadjusted unemployment rate of 11.6 percent for California and 9.7 percent for the nation during the same period.

Riverside County unemployment is now 13.9%, up from 13.1% last month and up from 8.3% last June.The number of Riverside County unemployed now stands at 128,300, up from 120,200 last month and 75,500 last June. Local government (mostly in education and normal) lost 1,900 jobs from last month. Construction gained 200 over the month, mostly in specialty trades, but down 22,400 over the year.
