Went to the Rubio's near Ontario Mills for Lunch. Ordered the 2 fish taco combo and a drink came to a little over $8. The fish tacos were great the beans were not. It would be nice if they had fresh salsa ,but what they have is basically different hot sauces. I think the best bet is to skip the combo and just order the tacos by them selves, why pay the extra money for a couple of chips and a small cup of beans. Rubio's is kind of expensive for what you get, except if you go on Taco Tuesday when fish tacos are a $1.25 after 4 pm.

Costco Chino Hills

Costco has the $1.50 1/4 pound kosher hot dog and a coke for a $1.50. It is still the best deal for lunch. So when your low on cash, this still is the best deal for a quick cheap lunch!

The Habit -- LaVerne

The Habit is off of Foothill in LaVerne. It is like an In n out burger with more choices. They have chicken, grilled tuna or a tri tip sandwich and a few salads, they also have onion rings. I ordered the hamburger which was not bad for around $4. This place seems to be busy all the time so maybe they will be around for little while. All of their other locations are in Los Angeles or Ventura- Santa Barbara area.

Tom's Farms Burgers - Corona

Tom's burgers used to be a Knowlwoods, The menu is almost the same still. I ordered the cheeseburger onion rings and a soda, totaling around $12. The food was not that bad just a little to expensive for burgers.

Philly's Best - Ontario Mills

Went to the Philly's Best near Ontario Mills they had a special for a $5 cheesesteak. Overall not too bad just a little too greasy.

7 Oaks Deli - Corona

Stopped in here for lunch it is off the 15 and Weirick Rd. Ordered the italian sub was close to $8. The bread was stale and the vegetables had no flavor at all. Not a good sandwich at all. It looked good just tasted horrible. Probably wont be going back here anytime soon.

Fuddruckers - Ontario

Stopped for lunch at the Fudd ruckers near Ontario Mills. Decided to try their chicken sandwich combo which came close to $10. Overall not that good, the chicken sandwich at fast food joints for $3 was better than this dried out thing. I guess your best bet is to stick with the burgers here.

Corky's Kitchen & Bakery
is located on Haven in a shopping center just north of the 210 Fwy. I was here mid afternoon the place was not too crowded. Service was not the best but was decent with no problems. I ordered the California Chicken sandwich which comes with avocado, bacon, swiss cheese and tomato on a wheat bun. Food was fresh and made fast. The combo with a soda comes to around $10. Overall this was a good meal at a decent price. Corky's is opened 24 hours, so its a great place to go late nights after a night out instead of Dennys.

Wahoo's Fish Taco - Norco

I ordered the fish taco for around $3. The fish here is grilled but it was also dry, they overload the taco with shredded cabbage. So if you just take off most of the cabbage and add alot of salsa, it tastes decent. The tacos here are a healthy alternative than the fried fish at Rubio's.

Giovanni's Pizza - Ontario

I ordered the Giovanni's special which was around $21. The service was friendly. When we got the pizza the vegetable toppings were still raw. I think they need to cook their pizzas for at least 10 minutes longer so everything is cooked. This place seems over priced. You can get a larger better tasting pizza at Petrilli's and save a few dollars. Giovanni's seemed to be overpriced by about 25 percent on everything.

The Mug -- San Bernardino

The Mug is at 588 W Highland Ave, It is half bar half restaurant mostly serving pasta and pizza, but some sandwichs and steaks also. The ravioli plate costs around $11 was not bad sauce was good. The only complaint is there was just too much sauce half the amount would have been more than enough. The Steak sandwich was around $8. This was a great sandwich and a better deal. Next time I'll skip the pasta and get a steak.

Sizzler Corona

Went to the Sizzler in Corona off the 15 and Magnolia Ave. They have a 9.99 deal where you can get hibachi , malibu chicken , shrimp skewer or steak dinner with their salad bar for this price. Good deal since the salad bar costs $8.99 alone.

Cha Cha's Tacos Loma Linda

Cha Cha's is a little taco stand off California and Redlands Ave in Loma Linda. I ordered a carne asada taco. The taco was not bad odd thing was the lettuce had cabbage in it like it came out of those premade salad bags. Their salsa was good.
It was close to $3 for the taco which I thought was overpriced.

Original Tommy's Burgers Chino

Tommys has been around for 63 years.Decided to stop late night at the Tommy's near the 60 fwy and Mountain Av. Ordered the chil burger and a Chili Dog. The price was about $6, what I like about this place is all the prices include tax no need for pennies, every business should do this. The chili dog and burger looks horrible but it taste better than it looks. The food here is really greasy and messy so get extra napkins. I'd say this is the place to go late night after drinking. To me Tommy's is alright but nothing so great like some people claim.

Royal Panda Claremont

Royal Panda is a fast food chinese,on the corner of Indian Hill and Arrow, they are next door to Pollos Kikiryki. I ordered the Vegetable Shrimp and Beef and Broccoli. The price was around $7. The quanity of the food was alot but it was flavorless. I dont know if it has Msg or what it was, maybe just needed some salt and pepper. The service here was quick but felt like they were rushing you. Next time i'll probably stop in at Pollos Kikiryki and skip the Royal Panda.

Rosines Mediterranean Corona

Rosines is located at the Corona Crossings center off the 15 fwy and Cajalco next to the Regal movie theater. I stopped in here for their lunch special 2 pieces of chicken and 2 sides for around $9. With my lunch I ordered the pasta salad and hummus for the sides. The service was quick and attentive. The chicken was not bad, but did not have much flavor. Their hummus was delicious, The pita bread they gave me was stale and cold. I would rather go to Juan Pollo which in my opinion tastes much better and is a better value, At Rosines I think your just paying for the atmosphere more so than better quality food.

Lisa's Gourmet Foods Ontario

I found out about Lisa's Gourmet Foods by reading a post on David Allen's Blog which is a great site. This small mini market is at the corner of D street and Monterey Av near downtown Ontario. In the back corner of the store is where the sandwich counter is located. I ordered their specialty a whole Godfather sandwich for $6.50 half is $4. I have to say it is a bargain for what you get. My sandwich was great, not the best i've had but up there. They also have teriyaki steak and bbq beef sandwiches which I'll have to come back for when i'm in the neighborhood. Taco Joes Colton

Taco Joes is at 1431 Washington St in Colton. This place looks like a little house from the outside, inside are photos of old movie stars everywhere. The night I was here it was fairly crowded. The waitress was great despite being the only one here the service was not bad. She brought some chips and salsa, the salsa was good with a nice little kick to it. If you want a second bowl of chips they will charge you. I ordered the Taco Combo for around $8. Tacos were nice and crisp with a good flavor to them. The rice on the side had no flavor at all so I added the salsa to it which made it better. Not too bad of a place reminds of an independent Don Jose's with the food being just about the same as what you would get there.

Uncle Howies Pizza Redlands

Uncle Howies is located at 800 E Lugonia Ave in Redlands. It is a Pizza Parlor that mostly caters to sports teams pizza parties. I ordered the meatball sub for around $7.50 it came with your choice of chips or potato salad. I chose the potato salad. The sandwich was better than I expected and it was a decent sized portion. The potato salad was just out of a container no flavor to it at all. So I suggest you choose the chips instead. Other than that seems like a decent place to get a bite to eat.

Pomona Fish Market

Pomona Fish Market is on the corner of Park and 3rd street in downtown Pomona. This place has been here forever and has not changed much. Walking in here, it is like you went through a time machine into an old fish market that belongs on a pier at the beach. You choose your fish and they fry it up for you. I am surprised that they dont serve cod at all,they have whitefish instead. I ordered the Fish and Chips plate for around $7. I chose to have it with red snapper. Overall not bad, the fish was not too greasy,like most fried fish tends to be. So if your in downtown Pomona and feel like having some fresh fish stop in here.

Rudy's Tacos Lake Elsinore

Rudys Tacos is a small place at 16331 Lakeshore Dr in Lake Elsinore. I figured the food must be good here by the amount of people that were there. Rudy himself is there to take your order who was very friendly. I ordered a combo burrito which came with rice and carne asada. The burrito was not bad, but the hot sauce here was great! The sauces are all homemade and taste like no other sauce I've ever had. The sauce is almost orange in color but dont let that stop you from trying it. I was told the Chile Rellanos and the Tacos here are great,Now I know what to get next time.

Panera Bread Corona

Stopped at the Panera Bread at the Crossings in Corona. I ordered the Tomato & Mozzarella. It comes with fresh and sun dried tomatos and fresh basil on ciabatta bread. It tasted great kind of like a pizza sandwich. The only complaints is for a $7 sandwich they could give you more cheese than just one slice cut in half. Other than those two things it is a unique great tasting sandwich to get for lunch.

Hooters

There are 2 Hooters that I know of, one in Ontario and the other in Moreno Valley. I am pretty sure most people who come here, dont come here for the food. I ordered a caesar chicken salad, which was not bad, but nothing special, cost around $9. For the amount of money, it is not worth it to me. So if you going to Hooters go for the view not the overpriced average food.
