Simon Velez is a colombian born architect that has been the pioneer in the Guadua Architechture in the world. (Guadua is the Colombian Bamboo). His designs haver been recognized by the architecture elite as one of the most innovative approachs to sustainable architecture.
He has been recognized by the colombian government by letting him design the colombian expo fro the world expo in 2008. And he has won the 2009 Prince Claus Prize Dutch award.
He has also designed some very innovative Bamboo and Wood furniture.
