It is about the horrible drugs our athletes are using to help enhance their performance. This is about education today. If you can speak on any of these feel free to chime in with a comment or two. Some of the information I have used comes from cheating culture.com!

Soaring paychecks for top athletes and pharmacological advances have conspired to increase the prevalence of performance enhancing drugs in professional and Olympic sports in recent years. At the same time, an influx of money into college athletics has helped deepen pervasive corruption in this area. Individual athletes face tough ethical choices about how to get ahead amid systematic cheating and gross pay inequities among athletes — with cheaters often getting the biggest rewards.

Key Drugs in Sports

Professional athletics has increasingly become a pharmacological testing ground, as athletes seek an edge over each other and try to keep one step ahead of doping tests. Several new drugs have come onto the market in recent years that altered the very face of sports.

EPO: Erythropoietin, or EPO, is an artificial hormone that allows the blood to carry more oxygen, thus boosting endurance. It is favored by endurance athletes and has saturated such sports as professional cycling and cross-country skiing.

Steroids: Anabolic steroids are man-made substances that mimics the effects of testosterone and help athletes build or maintain muscle mass. These drugs can provide an advantages in sports such as football, baseball, swimming, weight lifting, and track & field.

THG: A designer steroid that was recently discovered by a U.S. scientist, THG was until recently undetectable by tests. Now, a number of Olympic and professional athletes stand accused of using the drug.

Modafinil: Modafinil is a psychostimulant similar to amphetamines but without some its side effects, such as jitteriness. It has recently become favored by some athletes and turned up in a number of drug tests conducted on U.S. Olympic athletes.

Human Growth Hormone: HGH is another drug that is used increasingly by athletes to enhance their performance. It helps to strengthen joints, build muscles, and speed the repair of tissues. It can also expand the size of athletes’ heads and feet.

Peace, Love, and Fox

Ell Roberson - Kansas State Legend

Peace, Love, and Fox

Tebow wins Heisman

Who wouldn't want to be Tim Tebow right now? He won a national championship as a freshman playing as a "specialty" quarterback, and last night he was the first underclassmen ever to win the Heisman trophy.

I can honestly say that I wasn't surprised to see him win it. In a season where there was no clear Heisman winner until probably a week ago, it was only deserving that something that has never happened before should happen. Last year we all knew Troy Smith was going to win it. It was no contest.

I don't think there is a better student-athlete in the world than Tim Tebow. He is an excellent Christian and it seems like he came from a very good family. This kid knows God is the reason for all the success he has had. These are the athletes that do this for me.

1. Tiger Woods- Arguably the greatest athlete (the argument being if Golf is an athletic sport) of the last 10 years. No one has dominated there sport more than Tiger Woods. No athlete has adapted and changed to ensure that he will not be passed and that he will always be considered the greatest at his craft. If you come to my house on a Sunday and Tiger is within 5-6 shots, golf will be on the TV because I am not going to be the guy next to the water cooler who missed his unbelievable comeback. He is the greatest closer maybe ever (besides Jordan) that we have ever seen, he can win in so many different ways. It’s no wonder why golf ratings are so much higher when he is in contention, because no one wants to miss what Tiger does next.

2. Devin Hester- In two years this NFL return man has helped carry his team to the Super Bowl and forced teams to rethink if they should kick deep to the Chicago Bears. Whether Punts or Kickoffs this man has taken the return to a different level. Even super returners like Deion Sanders are already saying he is the greatest return man of all time. There is no way you want to step away from the TV when this guy gets the ball because you never know when he can return it for six.

3. Adrian Peterson- All you need to know is one thing 296! That’s it, that is not a rookie rushing record, that is the all-time single game rushing record and it took Adrian Peterson half a year to break it. Are you kidding me. Through the first half of the season he led the league in rushing making great rushing defense like the Chicago Bears look pathetic. The hardest thing to believe about this guy is he was taken as the 7th pick. How would you like to be the first 6 teams in 5 years wondering how you passed on a guy like that. Take away the injury mid season and he would be your league’s leading rusher this year, and if you threw out the Patriots as a whole, he had a chance at the MVP. Barring injuries he could be the best back in the NFL for the next decade.

4.Lebron James- Since we have been watching this kid since he was in high school it is still tough to believe how young he is. Lebron has that ability to coast through a game and you think he played all right and then you look up and he finished with a triple double. He also has the ability to throw the team on his back and carry them to victory by himself, ask the Pistons. He is fun to watch because his a dominate team player and you just don’t find those types much anymore. He has a chance to win many championships, lets just hope the Cavs get him some help.

Peace, Love, and Fox

New England Beatable

The new England Patriots will not go undefeated. The Patriots are gong to lose...just watch.

I do believe the Dolphins will run the field and go 0-16....

Peace, Love, and Fox.

Missouri Got Robbed!

The BCS schedule came out last night, and as I suspected, there would be major controversy. Kansas, who was beat by Missouri last week, got a bid to the Orange Bowl while Missouri will be going to the Cotton Bowl.

I do not see how this is so. Missouri is a way better football team than Kansas. They proved it. They won the Big XII North. They played a harder schedule (the only ranked team KU beat this year was #24 Kansas State.) The two teams have played head-to-head and Missouri proved they are the better team. They would win every time these teams played.

College football is giving the BCS the worst season it could possibly have. This year is a prime example that we need a playoff....and Missouri fans would agree.

Time to Bitchslap the BCS

My daily punch in the crotch goes to the Bowl Championship Series. With the season college football has had, I think there's no more need to keep this horrible system around.

After last night's crazy games with #1 Missouri and #2 West Virginia losing, the BCS is going to be more criticized than ever. The possibility of Ohio State and Georgia playing in the national championship is crazy. Georgia didn't even win their division to play in the SEC title game. With Oklahoma beating Missouri, they could be meeting Kansas in the Fiesta Bowl. You know somethings wrong if two teams from the same conference are playing each other in a bowl game. I don't care if they didn't play each other this year, it's bad for the conference and fans don't want to see that.

I'm not saying do away with the BCS altogether, I just say have them rank the top 25 teams like they always do, then after the conference championships have a playoff with the top 8 teams. This way we could find out who is the real #1. It would leave no doubt. All the fans complaining and sports reporters bitching would be over. I'm just saying it's time for a chance and something should probably happen by next season for college football's sake.

Peace, Love, and Fox

FOX PSD

I have made some PSDs for you graphic designers out there. We watched it today. Oh My GOD. Hilarious. Can you believe our government is this pathetic they have to do this stuff to get people interested in in politics. This was a movie is class I actually stayed awake to watch.

I do like that they let people ask the questions. I don't like however is how they had picked the questions they were going to show. They should have played them randomly. That would definitely have made for a more interesting debate. I would love to have heard someone ask the candidates why their position on lying and ass-kissing is.

Now to the candidates. This was funny. You could tell who was confident and who wasn't. Mitt Romney should be the democratic front-runner that is for sure. I really do not see how Raging Rudy is leading the party. The only reason he is is because of being the mayor in NYC during 911. I loved watching all the candidates gang up on him. I guess Tupac was right when he said "Me Against the World." I do not like Ron Paul. He seems too much like a pussy for me. We need a man in the White House, somebody with a backbone.....like Fred Thompson. The most amusing thing for me was John McCain.....who reminds me of John Travolta if he dipped his face in wax. He seems like he didn;t want to be there and looked like he was sleeping half the time. Guess what John, you're never going to be president, so QUIT TRYING.

This was the first debate I have actually watched, and I must say I was deeply amused.

Obama in '08

Peace, Love, and Fox

The Minnesota Baby Cubs

Man, it is hard to be a Minnesota Timberwolves fan these days. Ever sense KG was traded to the Celtics, it doesn't seem like anything positive has happened. I'm here to try and find some positives.

Even though we are 2-11, we do have some of the best young talent in the league. If we can keep the core of these players together for a few years, I'm talking about Rashad McCants, Randy Foye, Al Jefferson, Gerald Green, Corey Brewer, and maybe even Sebastian Telfair, this could definitely be a team that can contend in the future.

Luckily for us we are in the Northwestern division which doesn't even matter outside the Jazz and the Nuggets. As bad as we are, we aren't even in last place!

All I'm saying with this post is this Timberwolves fans. Please don't betray this young team. I know it's hard without KG but we will be a playoff team again. It was just wow. This team will be the team to beat in the NBA this season. You just watch. Kevin Garnett is having probably his best season ever. These Big 3 for the Celtics are just so fun to watch. Three great veterans who only care about winning, and all three of them deserve a championship.....you can't argue with me on that.

I'm not saying they're the best team of all-time, but they have to be the best team with the best "team players" that we have seen in a long time.

Peace, Love, and Fox

2007 Kansas State Football....voice of a fan

5-7

5 wins and 7 freaking loses. I cannot believe it. I can only think of one word that describes this team......under achievers. I, like most KSU fans, were very optimistic about this team. This was supposed to be the team that restored the glory. Ron Prince was supposed to be a genius of a coach and lead us to AT LEAST a Big XII North title.

Not quite.

I should have known after the first game that it was an omen to how the season was going to go. We were up on Auburn and blew that game in the 4th quarter. We had too may stupid penalties. Right then I knew Alesana Alesana couldn't play big time college football. He screwed our O-Line all season long.

Ron Prince now looks like a jackass of a coach. I miss Snyder more than ever now. Our offense is stupid. We have always been a running school. Don't break tradition. I miss having a QB who is also a running threat. Wasn't so much this year. I'd love for Jim Leavitt to come back and coach here....

Our defense......just horrible. Bad tackling. Dumb penalties. You have to look at the coaching. That's all I have to say about that.

In the year that KU is having a year that is unbelievable to me, I have to sit in shame with this KSU team that looks as pathetic as I can remember since I was born in 1989 and wasn't around for those days thank God.

The one bright spot on this team was Jordy Nelson. He is a beast. He should be the example for all athletes everywhere. He will win the Bilitnikoff award and he will play in the NFL. I wish him the best of luck.

I'm glad this season is over. No more getting pissed of on Saturdays. I''m looking forward to next season. Let's hope Chris Harper and Arthur Brown come to the Little Apple next season and help us. We WILL be better next season I GUARANTEE it.

Thank the Lord for basketball season.....

Peace, Love, and Fox

R.I.P. I as bored so I got on the computer and check the latest sports news as always. And boy to tell you I was shocked!

I had heard about Sean Taylor getting shot, but from what I had understood, I heard he was going to be fine and maybe walk out of the hospital. When I gone onto ESPN, the top story was about Sean Taylor passing away at 24 years old.

This hit me hard. Sean was one of the players I admired. I plan to play safety in college and I love the way he played football. You could tell it's what he was born to do. He had some hard times after college, but he had really been turning his life around. From what I could come to understand, he was a really good guy and a great teammate and friend. The football world lost a great one this time. I don't understand how somebody can break into somebody else's house and shoot them. This world is seriously becoming almost a horrible place. Something needs to be done.

You will always be remembered Sean Taylor.

Peace, Love, and Fox

<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/InsaneFox/~3/ajgwvJ3MxNA/rip-sean-taylor.html" title="R.I.P. I am almost done with my first semester of my senior year of high school. I am about to graduate! Boy, I can't wait. My problem is where to go to college. I know I want to major in business and graphic design....thats easy for me. My problem is if I should play football in college or not. I've always wanted to go to Kansas State University, but I'm not that great of an athlete to play ball there. I could go to a smaller school, however. I have had many offers from smaller schools. I just don't know what I want to do. Some people have told me to try and walk-on at K-State, but I just don't know....

Peace, Love, and Fox

Welcome

Welcome to my blog.
