You Can't Be Me Tut

This tut was written by me, Lisa G on May 1, 2010. Any similarities to any other tut is purely coincidental. I used PSP 9 for this tut.
Supplies- kit of choice, I used a kit by AWDesigns, which is exclusive to members of intoxxikated-intentionz.com

**remember to add drop shadow of choice to each element**

--Open template_136_Beth_09 in PSP. Delete the copyright layer.
--Activate horizline1-go to selections-float-defloat-modify-expand by 1

--Add a new raster layer-fill with color of choice-I used #50af37; go to effects-xenofex 2-crack with these settings:24.71, 27.56, 4.03, 54, 49, 135
deselect, delete horizline1 layer.

--Activate Horizline2-select all, float, defloat, expand by 1, new raster layer, fill with color of choice-I used #c02d85-effects xenofex 2 cracks-same settings-deselect, delete horizline2 layer.
--Activate black circle layer, select all, float, defloat, expand by 1, new rater layer, fill with color of choice-I used #ffd604, delete black circle layer, apply inner bevel using these settings:--Activate black circle frame 2, select all, float, defloat, expand by 1, new raster layer, fill with color of choice, I used #f06d17, apply same inner bevel as before, delete original circle layer.

--Activate blackrectframe layer, select all, float, defloat, expand by 1, new raster layer, fill with color of choice, I used aecc2e, deselect, apply same inner bevel as before, delete original rectangle frame layer.
--Using magic wand, select inside frame (raster 4, make sure this layer is active) expand by 3, paste close up as a new layer. Selections, invert, press delete on keyboard, select none. Move tube below frame.

--Using magic wand, click inside second frame (raster 5, make sure this layer is active) expand by 3, paste second close-up as a new layer. Selections, invert, hit delete on keyboard, move below frame layer.
--Activate greyrectbg, select all, float, defloat, fill with pattern of choice, select none.

--Delete background layer, add new raster layer, fill white, move to bottom. Add new raster layer above white layer, fill with pattern, apply Vix_mask147. Merge group, resize by 115%, all layers UNchecked.
--Paste full tube, move rect frame and bg up to tube (frame above tube, bg below tube). Erase any of tube that overhangs frame.

--On each words layer, select all, float, defloat, adjust, hue & saturation, colorize, hue 248, sat 252. Add any elements you like.

--Resize by 90% all layers checked. Add copyright-I put an ellipse over the first frame layer, added text around the circle, and closed visibility on ellipse. Add gradient glow on copyright to make more visible.

--Add name, I used Stereofidelic size 72 with pattern as fill.

I have not been a very good blogger! But I have now decided to try my hand at tutorial writing. I have written one, which I will post in a moment. I hope you enjoy trying it. RIP Michelle

I do not have many local friends, so i make up for that in online friends. I lost one of these dear friends on Friday. Michelle Shoemaker-Kain was a 30 year old mom of three beautiful girls. She was a wonderful person, who truly cared about others. I have known her online since around January of 2004. We met on an AOL message board for moms due in September 2004. I became very close to many of the ladies on the message board, and am still in touch with most of these. We have all suffered a great loss in Michelle. She was such a happy person. Always there with a hug to lift our spirits, and always in good spirits herself, even when her own life was rough. She lived her life for her family, they were always number one to her. You can read more about her death here. Rest in peace Michelle, you will be greatly missed.

Ok I am really not too good at the blog thing! Sorry! I have been busy learning in PSP. And my husband has been in the hospital for the past 3 weeks with pneumonia, so my computer time is limited! Anyways, I thought I would share a few tags I made. And I will be posting a mini kit I made!! My first! I have to upload it to 4shared first though. This first tag is from a tut, but I love it! I doubt it will show on here, but it is animated.
The happy birthday tag I made myself, it is also animated. And the coffee one I am not sure if it was a tut or not. I just love that little coffee cup though! So cute!

I am really happy with this one. I hope the animation showed up for you. I made this one from a tut. Not a lot to blog about today, busy weekend. I worked at the PTSA yard sale this morning. Was told to be there at 6, so I got up at 5 AM on a Saturday, and NO ONE was there!! They showed up around 7:15!! I was not too happy! Luckily I live right across the street from the school, so I just waited till I saw cars pulling in to go back. Did find two cake pans for $1 each. Sponge Bob and Spider Man! I should put my cake pics on here also! Well, not tonight! Night all!

I found out that the boy who died in the car wreck Friday night was drunk, and high on pills. I don't understand why people do this, knowing the possible outcome. Such a waste of life. Their own, as well as everyone else on the road they put at risk. I made a tag for the occasion, to post here. Think before you do something people. Think about that innocent baby in his carseat, about that mother of three driving home, or that father to be on a business trip. It is not just your life you destroy when you drink and drive.

Ok so I have decided to make this blog a place to show off my PSP work. I am not a scrapper, but I
do love making tags. So I will share them here.
The one to the left was made from a tutorial using the work of Popeye Wong. It is actually animated, but not showing up. I may have used the wrong one. The Toil girls tag, I made all on my own, and I actually won a prize in a contest in a group I am in. I was shocked, especially since Les actually judged the contest. I love his work, and one day I will be a Toil girl! The pink tag is the art work of Keith Garvey, I can't remember if it was a tut or not! All three of these artists have amazing work! I am honored they allow us taggers to use their work. That is important to me, since I strive to be fully copyright compliant. Well, I will share more later. Night all!

Sad news

First off, I will admit, I suck at blogging! Never was too good at journaling! I got some terribly sad news last night, my friend's son died in a car wreck Friday night. He was so young, in his early 20's. I wish there was something I could do or say to help, but I know there isn't. I don't know many details yet, other than he was on his way home. He was such a sweet guy. Granted, I haven't seen him in several years, being in Germany, but when I was around him, he was always nice to everyone. RIP Chad.

Here is an example of why I am insane! Today has been a very bad day. Andy woke up at 2:30 this morning screaming and crying. I went in there and got him and brought him to my bed. Then he starts screaming louder and will not let me hold him or even touch him. I keep asking what is wrong, but he just keeps screaming no way. This goes on for about 30 minutes and then he cuddled up to me and went back to sleep. The doorknobs in our home are not knobs, they are handles like on french doors. I take off the hall doorknob when I go to bed so the kids have to wake me before they get in the living room or kitchen.Works great for the twins when Aaron goes to school. This morning Aaron takes off Angie's doorknob, uses it to open the hallway door, and they proceed to destroy my house. My couch was in front of the tv, my coffee table in front of the hall door. There are about 20 juice boxes scattered about that they had drank. In Angie's room, there is juice squirted everywhere, and my whole bag of baby wipes are scattered in it where she apparently tried to clean it up. So after a lot of screaming, I go get coffee and go out to smoke. Aaron had also opened the balcony door, and all my cigarettes were scattered on the ground downstairs, where they threw them off one by one. Then I see a ball of hair in my flower pot, pick it up, it is Angie's. After further investigation, I discover that Aaron has cut not only her hair, but his own and Andy's. That was just the morning. I woke up with a headache, and it has not let up since, wonder why??

Tripping Out!

First of all, I have no idea why my page went to German suddenly. I am hoping my posts are still in English though. Any way, that is not why I am tripping out. Besides 9-11, I have really tried not to freak out over the whole terrorism thing. Today is the 6th anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. Last week an attempted attack on a US base in Germany was stopped, scary being so close, but I was ok. Then I learn today, that an attack was threatened on the base I live on last night. Now I am freaking. I know they say it is all secured and not a worry now, but that is just too close for comfort. My husband is still deployed, and I am in a foreign country, living on a military base that has been threatened, how am I supposed to calmly deal with all this? If you have not seen the story, it is on yahoo news. Everyone seems to just take this in stride like it is no big deal, I assume because they have been trained to deal with this kind of thing. Well, I have not been trained, have no clue how to react, and no clue what to do. Hell, what can I do besides pray and wait? Not like I can just jump on a plane back to the states, if that would really be safer, we just don't know. This leaves me feeling totally helples and vulnerable.

I am a stay at home mom of three little monsters! My oldest, Aaron is seven and in the second grade. Then I have Angie, and Andy, my three year old twins. Yes, they are twins, and I will just say God definately has a sense of humor! As a child I always thought having twins would be so cool, yeah right! Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade them for anything, but man, it has been hard! I am married to a (mostly) wonderful man, Willie. He is a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force, currently serving in Iraq. I am very proud of him, and have the utmost respect for all of our American soldiers. We are currently stationed at Spangdahlem AB, Germany. What can I say, living in a foreign country has its ups and downs. It is really neat to have the opportunity to explore Europe, on someone else's dime. On the other hand, I miss the USA. Many things I used to take for granted are not the same here. An example would be Walmart, there is one here, but it is just not what I am used to. And then of course there is the language difference, and the different currency. The money here is the Euro, and let me just say the dollar value really sucks now a days. As of today, one dollar buys you seventy one Euro cents. But where in the states could you see a real castle? Not to mention go to Paris, Venice, and Rome? Although I haven't done all that yet, I will! Castles are everywhere here, I have been to a few of them. I have been to the Porta Nigra in Trier as well.
