Use your Mobile Headphones as Computer Mic

Many a Times we need mic urgently but we run out of it.I mean who will buy a mic for occasional reasons.
Sometimes at our Home Function or may be a small party we need a mic and we don't have,what would you scream in front of everybody and let your throat swell. I got a solution for you guys,If you have use Headphones or ear buds or earplugs then the following trick might be useful for you.

1) Plug your headphones/ear buds/earplugs into your mic jack on the CPU.
2) Go to Start->Control Panel->Sounds, Speech and Audio Devices/ Sounds and Audio Devices. Now under the audio tab, make sure that the sound recording setting is set to your sound card. For best results turn the volume of the sound recording up to full. Similarly go to the voice tab now and change the voice recording in the same way.
3) Open the sound recorder, Start->All Programs->Accessories->Entertainment, select sound recorderr.
4) Just press the record button and start recording your masterpiece.
Note that depending on the brand of headphones/ear buds/earplugs that you are using, you may have to put them fairly closer to your mouth to record the voice properly.

Now Apply Winamp Skins to VLC Media Player

VLC media player is no doubt the best media player available today. It is sometimes called the Swiss Army Knife of media applications because it supports almost every audio and video format out there. But when it comes to looks, it only comes with a boring default skin. Here’s a trick by which you can use any winamp classic skin on vlc media player-
Start vlc player as usual and click on Settings->Switch Interface->Skins 2.

This will automatically load a slightly modern looking skin,

Right click on empty space on this skin (just like winamp) , choose Select Skin, and click on Open.

Browse to the folder where your winamp classic skins are located and choose appropriate skin

That’s it, your vlc media player is now looking like an ultra cool jukebox (ok, not ultra cool but much better then the boring default skin :) )

Note 1 – You will notice that as soon as you restart the vlc media player, the new skin is gone. Change the following settings to keep the skins persistent,
1. Start VLC Media Player.
2. Go to the Settings -> Preferences.
(For older versions of vlc player, go to the Menu -> Tools -> Preferences)
3. On the Preferences window, click on Main Interface -> Skins button.
4. Check the Advanced Options box.
5. Save the settings.

Note 2 – To find winamp classic skins of your choice,
1. Go to http://classic.winamp.com/skins
2. Search for the genre of the skin you want (for instance search for game, to find out skins related to gaming)
3. In the search results, click on Classic Skins, to force it to display only classic skins.

4. Now only classic skins will be displayed. Choose and download appropriate skin.
That’s it. Enjoy the all new vlc media player.

So here is the Trick using the VLC media player. Here’s the procedure,

Use Vlc to Set Video As a Wallpaper

1. I assume that you already have VLC media player installed. If not, then you can get it from this page. Download and install it. The start it.
2. Go to Tools > Preferences. Select the video tab from the left panel of the preferences window. Now in the Output drop down list, choose DirectX video output. Click on the save button.

3. Restart VLC.

4. Now just play any video using the VLC media player. Once the video starts playing, click on Video > DirectX Wallpaper, and minimize the VLC window. You’ll immediately see the video set as wallpaper. You can work normally and the video wallpaper will behave just like a normal wallpaper.

If you want your old static wallpaper back, then uncheck the DirectX Wallpaper in the VLC media player (Video > DirectX Wallpaper).
Also, If you are using the Windows Aero Themes, then it will automatically revert to basic theme because of the DirectX output. But don’t worry, you can easily turn on the Aero theme after you are done with this little game

I would suggest to set videos like Nature videos or default Video you get with Windows 7.That looks Cool

WhatsApp the most popular messaging App.Now everyone using smartphone use it and sometimes it happens that you loose your chats or accidentally delete your conversations and then regret.
We have Found a Solution for this just Follow the below steps to recover your chats on your Phone.

STEPS TO RECOVER CHATS FROM YOUR PHONE:

1. You need to copy the whatsapp database.
On Android, either get this file:
/sdcard/WhatsApp/Databases/msgstore.db.crypt
(crypted database on SD card, can be created by starting backup from whatsapp advanced settings)
or these files:

/data/data/com.whatsapp/databases/msgstore.db and wa.db
(For this you need root access. The advantage is that the corresponding contact names of phone numbers will be displayed.)
On IPhone, get this file:

net.whatsapp.WhatsApp/Documents/ChatStorage.sqlite
(You can use an Iphone Backup Tool to get the file, e.g. I-Twin or Iphone Backup Extractor. Make sure to create an unencrypted backup with Itunes, as these tools can’t handle encrypted backups. Another possibility are forensic tools like UFED Physical Analyzer.)

2. Copy the database(s) to a certain folder on your computer.

3. Extract this archive (with whatsapp_xtract.py, whatsapp_xtract.bat, …) to the certain folder

4. You need Python and (for Android msgstore.db.crypt decryption) the PyCrypto library
The easiest way is to install ActivePython (on Windows choose 32bit version even if you have 64bit windows):

Download it from here
and then (for PyCrypto) run install pyCrypto.bat (contained in this archive)
(pyCrypto.bat will execute: pypm install pycrypto)

5. Now run whatsapp_xtract_android.bat or whatsapp_xtract_android_crypted.bat or whatsapp_xtract_iphone.bat
or whatsapp_xtract_console.bat and then manually specify the input file with one of these commands:
COMMAND LINE OPTIONS:

For Android DB:
python whatsapp_xtract.py -i msgstore.db -w wa.db
OR (if wa.db is unavailable)
python whatsapp_xtract.py -i msgstore.db
OR (for crypted db)
python whatsapp_xtract.py -i msgstore.db.crypt

For iPhone DB: (-w option is ignored)
python whatsapp_xtract.py -i ChatStorage.sqlite
Once finished, your browser will open and show the chats.
The .html file will be slightly bigger in size than the .db database.

We have heard about getting New Email on New Facebook Notification.
But today I Have Found a Way to get Email Alerts on your Facebook.
Here is a Little Trick to do so,
Steps :

First of all you should have your Facebook email activated.
Now go to your Email account Setting Currently here I am using my Gmail Account Settings (you can find the Setting option on your upper right hand side corner or See image for Details)

Now in settings Page Go to Forwarding and Pop/IMAP
I that Page click on "Add a Forwarding address"
Add your Facebook Email Address
Click OK
Now go to you Facebook account click on Messages
Click on other messages(you will Find the option near upper left hand side corner)
you will see the Gmail Confirmation Email
Click on the Confirmation Email and verify your Email.
Now go to Gmail Setting Page and uncheck the disable forwarding and check the forward email Email address.
Voila! you are Done.

Add a Forwarding address

Now whenever you Get New Email you will get a message alert in your Facebook Inbox.
Hey now you don't have to login your Email Id again and again to check New Email ,Facebook is all yo have.
You can also Reply to the Mail and send attachments from a Facebook.
P.S : If the person is not in your contact list the message sometimes goes to other messages in Facebook mail.
so keeping checking your other messages.you can move the Message to Inbox from the Facebook message setting's.

Well I as Facebook has a like button and Twitter has a follow button.
I thought why not make a widget for Indibloggers. well we bloggers also have a rank.
I am not a professional web developer, I am just a newbie trying to learn new things learning.
So, whenever we visit a Blog through random post of indibloggers site, we generally forget to add the person to our network , or we would like if people visit a our blog and just add us to their network directly by one click.Note that this is just a simple button which would let you add the author of the blog to your Indivine Network. As I Have a Blogspot Blog I have mentioned a step wise procedure for Blogspot Bloggers

Step 2 :
Do you see the Bold number 49983, that is my indiblogger user id ,Replace it with your User ID,
you can find your user in your Public Profile url.

Go to your Dashboard >Click on View Public Profile >Copy your User Code in the url >Replace my User id with your User id in the Code.

Step 3 :
Now go to the Bloggers Dashboard >Layout > Add Gadget
from the popup window select Html/javascript > paste the new code > name the widget(optional)

Now view the blog and voila you have The New "Add to Indivine" button for your blog now people can directly add you to their network through your blog.

If you Don't like the button style you can create your own at http://dabuttonfactory.com/.
Just Download the Image ,Upload the Image to your Server or your Picasa album and replace the img src url with your Image url. you can also adjust the height and width of the button y editing the code.

New VLC for Windows 8 Metro Experience

With the new Microsoft Os Windows 8 Metro Experience there has been a need of new version of every application to meet with the metro experience of windows 8 and a need to change the interface of every app.
Same as it is with the our favorite open source media player "VLC"
The traditional VLC is now in need of new interface and new features to meet and be compatible with Windows 8.
So Videolan has started a project to develop VLC player for Windows 8. A native app, fully featured and fully open source. Play all your files, streams and optical media.
This project is on edge to complete till Dec 29 and funding has also been started and is in need of new developers form all over the world
If you are a developer and you contribute to this project your name will be listed in the contributors so don't miss a chance and start coding.

This project is started by Kickstarters and are looking for new backers and developers, you can find more project details here

This project’s goal is a fully featured port of VLC media player to the new Windows 8 User Experience. A second release will also add support for Microsoft’s Surface tablets.
In contrast they are intend to give support for unencrypted Blu-Rays, DVD's and VCD's .

Add Subtitles to Movie Permanently

In Last Tutorial I showed How to Use VLC Player to Download and insert Subtitle in Movie.

That technique is called softcoding the subtitles,but its quite lengthy process adding subtitles to movie every time when yo watch the movie and accedently if we lost them then it becomes a tiresome job.also we have to maintain a seperate folder for every movie that has subtitle.

So I found a method of adding subtitles permanently to the movie ,this technique is called Hard coding the subtitle's.

This can be done by using a tool called Free Movie Subtitler.

It is a freeware tool for windows that allows you to embed subtitles in movie permanently.

This tool is very easy to use .you have to just give the path for movie file and movie subtitle file.

and click on apply subtitles and you are done.

It takes a bit time Hard code the subtitles, but still it is a very useful tool.Now no need of
running separate files for video and its subtitles.

There are also many alternative to this tool which can also prove a boon to us.

Some of the alternatives are VobSub, Total Video Converter, AutoGK .

I love to watch movie's and I love Tamil Movies.
They are just awesome ,but when i don't understand what the say it;s to irritating and you have to understand the whole movie through their actions. Subtitles in English and in my mother tongue ,I think they are a boon to me.Just Love them.
Many a Times it just happens that when I download a Movie I don't receive subtitle or may be when I take movies from my friend I don't get subtitles and my entire movie experience is ruined.
Sometimes I accidentally delete the file.
So I was Searching for something that will provide me subtitles.

Gmail Filename search operator locates all Emails with Specific Name or Filetype

Sometimes we are searching for a particular file in Gmail and it becomes a very tedious work to search it from the number of attachments in our mail box.

The Gmail's New filename search operator allows you to search for attachments by name or filetype.

Isn't it Awesome to Find all word documents or Archive just with one click or if you know the attachment's name the it becomes more easier.

How it works:

filename: <name of File to search>
filename: <filetype>

for Example I want to search all resume name documents or attachments in my Inbox or Sent Items.
I will Search for
"filename:resume"

If i want to find filename with specified filetype suppose PDF file then I will Search for
"filename: .pdf"

The filename operator is very useful in finding attachments with specific type or name.
There is also a "has:attachment" search parameter which searches all attachments in mail box.
you can also sort the documents by their size by using "size:[size in bytes]" .

This are actually not the Easter Eggs but Like most other browsers, Google Chrome has some special pages that show information about memory usage, cached files, plug-ins and more
Here's a list of the most interesting about: pages available in Google Chrome (you can open them by dragging about:name to the address bar).

about:memory - This pages compares the memory used by all the active browsers and by Google Chrome's tabs.

about:stats - a list of internal counters and timers that has a funny subtitle "Shhh! This page is secret!".

about:network - this page could be used for I/O tracking and it's a partial replacement for the Live HTTP Headers extension. Click on "Start I/O tracking", open a web page in a new tab and you'll get a list of all the images, scripts and objects loaded from that web page.

about:hang - type this in the address bar of a tab when there's already an active web page to hang the process (this means that the process no longer accepts any signal, but it's still running). The other tabs will continue to work and the active tab can be closed.

about:histograms - a list of histograms for Google Chrome's internal metrics.

about:version - Google Chrome shows the version number the browser, WebKit and V8 (JavaScript engine). You can also find the user-agent used by Google Chrome.

about:dns - Google Chrome prefetches the DNS records for 10 frequently visited hostnames. This feature can be disabled in Options > Under the Hood by unchecking "Use DNS pre-fetching to improve page load performance".

about:crash - crash the active tab. Google Chrome displays the "sad tab" image, followed by this message: "Something went wrong while displaying this webpage. To continue, press Reload or go to another page".
