They then go straight into the first game preview. Pokemon X and Y, new area, new games, new pokemon type. Fairy type pokemon are now available. Strong against dragon type pokemon. As well as a brand new mode! Think Tomgatchi with pokemon. Pokemon Amie allows you to interact and play with your Pokemon. Coming to you October 12th 2013.

They followed this with a New Mario 3d World for the Wii U. Up to four players can pick characters Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad with differing abilities exactly like Mario Bros 2. It also has a new pick up item turning the characters into cats. Available in December.

Mario Kart
Back in its 8th installment Mario kart is here again. As always new tracks and new abilities. Including tracks that go upside down and cars that follow. 360 degrees of racing fun. Also coming back is motorcycles, under water racing and gliding. Online play has been revamped as well. Coming spring 2014.

Wii Party U
Next up is Wii party u. New mini games and introducing mini games for the game pad. However both this and Wii Fit U are delayed. Both coming out in the 4th quarter of this year.
Art Academy is in development and they don’t have many details on this.

Third Party game montage is next not many details just clips of games coming such as:

Did I tell you how excited I am to type those words? I’m pretty excited. Did I mention I am excited?

For those of you who don’t know already, World of Tanks is an online mecca video game warfare which is unlike anyone has ever played. It takes Call of Duty (everyone loves Call of Duty) and it adds an element that Call of Duty Multiplayer seemed to have kept out of their game. I mean, with snipers, campers, spawn campers, proners and a whole bunch of other -’ers that aren’t really the best things to do you would think that COD would AT LEAST have a killstreak which features a tank!

World of Tanks pits 15 tanks against 15 other tanks in a tank-on-tank metal bath which only a few people who have heard about World of Tanks, you know the WoT hipsters?

World of Tanks looks magnificent on a console and I can’t wait to download it whenever it comes out.

“But Zachary! The price! It must be expensive to buy World of Tanks for the 360!”

That’s one of the oddities of that announcement. Usually, announcements for full games come with a steep penalty and when it comes to your wallet. If you have a Xbox Live Gold account, the game is FREE! The game is free. The game with 15 v. 15 Tank-on-Tank lovemaking is FREE! F-R-Double E!

What hidden E3 gem are you looking forward to?

After the announcement and the introductions, they went on and announced a modern hardware look for the new Xbox 360, which looks more like the Xbox One. The Xbox 360 is available for purchase and will be a cool upgrade for those who hasn’t had a 360 yet.

Then they updated the Xbox Gold Live account. It was already announced that the XBGL accounts will carry over to the Xbox One. Also they announced that starting July 1^st, Xbox Live Gold holders will be able to download two free video games per month.

They also announced that two games that will be available on Xbox Live: Assassin’s Creed 2 and Halo 3, which is cool. Also, the 360 will be releasing Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Final Fantasy 13, Batman Origins and GTA 5 (of course).

Also, Microsoft announced downloadable gaming content for the 360 AND the Xbox One:

1. WORLD OF TANKS! The biggest online warfare game will finally be making its way to Xbox Live. It’s Call of Duty…with tanks. Microsoft Studios and War Gaming. 15 v. 15 team warfare…with tanks. It has zero point,
2. Max: The Curse of Brotherhood is about Max who has to save his brother, who he sent off into another dimension and captured by some weird guy who is torturing him. It’s up to Max, who originally sent him into the world, to rescue his brother from the dimension.
3. Dark Souls II. This is one of the hardest PC games in the history of PC games. Now it’s coming to a console. Yikes.

After those three announcements for the Xbox 360, the second that was game announced for the Xbox One was Ryse: Son of Rome. Ryse can very well be Microsoft’s version of God of War with missions that are more the team style of Call of Duty.

Also, Killer Instinct is back. ULTIMATE COOOOOOOOOOOOMBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Then they showed a trailer for Sunset Overdrive and then the Macleran P1, which is going to be playable on Forza 5. Forza 5 which has “Driveatar”. The Driveatar will race for you even when you’re not available to play and will work the way you drive in the game. The graphics look like Forza graphics, which are the most visual stunning graphics in any game.

Microsoft Studios has also announced that Minecraft, Quantum Break, D4 and Project Spark. Project Spark is more of a “Create Your Own Game” which everything is customizable. From the scenery, to day, to pets to just about anything going on, you are the developer, which is cool. It also showed the customizable creations that fans made, which is also cool.

Next they showed how they are changing SmartGlass to make it able to switch from a singleplayer in one game to multiplayer in different games, broadcast, check the status between friends’ progress in games and other cool things.

From your Xbox One, you’re able to instantly upload and edit your very own video and able to share and broadcast ANY video game that you choose with your voice narrating it.

After the announcement that there will be no more Microsoft Points, another new game was announced, Crimson Dragon. It featured lots and lots of dragons. No sound, but lots and lots of dragons.

Capcom announced that, unlike the people of Valve, they can count to three. DeadRising 3 looks friggin’ beautiful. It’s a massive open world zombie beat-em-up which features a DeadRising-esque amount of zombies and zombie things and a butt-load of ways to destroy zombies, as it is in every DeadRising game.

Gameplay of an open-world Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was followed by EA’s Battlefield 4. Xbox. Restart. Oopsies. That was awkward. But AFTER the reboot Battlefield looks quite good on Xbox One.

PRICE! THEY HAVE A PRICE! AND A RELEASE….month…! $499 will get you the Xbox One. Which is kind of expensive, but the price of a computer.

Then they showed Titanfall to end the night. Titanfall is one of the cooler newer games that is on the Xbox One. It reminds me more of a multiplayer story mode that Mass Effect’s should have been.

Video games galore!

I know we’ve been hard on the Playstation on Let’s Play lately, they kind of underwhelmed at their pre E3 press event that introduced us to the ps4′s controller and a few games.   To be fair Xbox’s pre E3 event wasn’t as good, they showed the console but lacked the games.  Well tonight I witnessed my love of Sony consoles return,  The PS4 not only looks nice, it also plays nice, It plays used games, it plays online and offline, has awesome games that were showed off, uses the PS Vita as an extra WiiU like gamepad and has a sweet price point ($399 US Dollars)  Let’s start with some of the games shall we!

Order: 1886

A steam-punkish romp looks awesome even though we only caught a glimpse of the game with no actual gameplay footage, the trailer got me excited to see what the game will be like.

Infamous: Second Son

I have the first infamous game, I haven’t played it, but the footage that was showed of second son makes me want to play the first game now.  I’ve heard great things about the franchise but was late to the playstation 3 party.  The new game looks fantastic and is one of the better of the 4 games that were previously shown at the PS4 reveal event.

Final Fantasy XV

Formerly known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII now, Final Fantasy XV looks amazing, I can’t wait to get my hands on this game, graphics look beautiful and the story looks to be fun! Is this a PS4 Exclusive or will it be available on Xbox One as well?

Kingdom Hearts 3 (FINALLY!)

Not much was shown with this game but not much is needed to be shown, Fanboys and girls alike are pumped that their favorite franchise which was a running joke with the people at X-play on G4 it finally arrives on the PS4 but like FFXV is this an exclusive or is it also for Xbox One?

Other games that were announced Assasin’s Creed 4, Watchdogs, NBA 2K4, Elderscrolls Online, also gameplay for Destiny which looks amazing on the PS4.  Not only that but the Playstation plus program is returning with Free Games, and everything you love about the program for about $5 a month, seems great!

It’s too early in all of the console’s lives to tell which will be the front runner but Sony made a strong statement with the reveal of the PS4 today at E3.  What did you think of the reveal? Are you excited for any games?  Let us know in the comments!

This year Konami announced a few announcements.

They showed the trailer to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The Belmont name is synonymous with hunting Dracula and vampires and such and, now, it’s Gabriel Belmont’s quest for revenge. Oh, you know who plays Zobek? None other than Sir Patrick Stewart.

In other Castlevania games, you are playing a Belmont. This game is different. This game you play AS Dracula and will delve into the world that has been untouched for so long in the Castlevania world on how Dracula became the main villain in a gaming franchise.

In their next announcement, I was really interested in (being a soccer star on my limited travelling soccer team…represent) Konami outlined two new aspects to make their soccer video game, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 better. First is their new TrueBall technology. This technology upgrades the physics aspects of playing soccer to give the player a true sense in playing soccer. The player will be able to move the soccer ball “in every direction” and allows the player to maneuver the pass whenever they get the ball from either on the ground or in the air. Also, the Motion Animation Stability System which will make the spontaneous collisions that the player gets while playing the game look like they are watching a real life soccer match.

Finally, Snake is going to sound a whole lot different. In MGS5: The Phantom Pain, the 49 year-old Snake will be voiced by none other than Kiefer Sutherland. Nothing was mentioned on the change of voice actors, as David Hayter was not asked to reprise his role as Snake in the upcoming game, besides Kojima saying that the developer wanted someone who could “genuinely convey” the star of the MGS franchise who sounds and looks like he’s in their late 40s (MSG5: The Phantom Pain takes place in 1984).

What did you think of the announcements made by Konami’s head, Kojima? Is playing as the boss cool? What boss would you like to play as? Will technology make sports video games playable? Will Kiefer Sutherland be a good fit for Snake’s voice?

We decided to get the message out….

Still amazing and still gets my hopes way high. I then immediately calm down because i remember that if hollywood gets their grubby hands on this for a film they will most likely blow it all hell. I mean they are the ones that did this to Mario….

(Thats the full movie FYI, ya know if you wanna torture yourself…)

However, then much like Portal, passionate people get the idea to make a short film (because funding a full feature based on these properties would cost a pretty penny) based on a game that they love. That happened with The Legend of Zelda.

Graphics and effects company Corridor Digital did just that. They released a short film entitled Links Shadow.

Pretty amazing. If this company was to start a Kickstarter to fund a full feature for Legend of Zelda i would get everyone and their mothers and brothers to kick in and make it happen. They also have other fantastic youtube videos such as Dubstep Guns.

Neverwinter Nights and Baulder’s Gate are a couple of my favorite pc games ever to be released. I played them straight through many times over both by the rules and bending the rules(aka cheats for epic items). To top it all off its a free to play MMO. So lets recap:

Its a MMO based on the popular Forgotten Realms setting that i love. It has all of the qualities of World of Warcraft with modest requirements and its Free to play.
