My gatsby inspired dress for tonight's big premiere! (sequins!) I'm so excited to see this version of The Great Gatsby, (although robert redford and mia farrow did a good job in the 70's). I really just want to see Prada's work on the big screen too. (am I right ladies and fashion lovers!?) Tweet me your outfit pics, I would love to see them. @KatjaNyquist

I see a bright future ahead...(for a new internship!)

Hello their my loves, sorry I have been so M.I.A lately, I was quite busy trying to fliter through new internships over the last few weeks, and I finally found my dream internship, with SocialBliss! I was so excited to be chosen to get to go to their local office in Irivne, Ca for a interview/meeting chat last friday, and see how everything works behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, I got sick before my first day, which was yesterday, (damn stomach of mine). Thankfully I also will be going on thursdays as well, I can't wait to share more with you guys! But for now stay updated, and follow me on SocialBliss.

Tiffany & Co: The Jazz Age Glamour Collection

Who is Gatsby? Very soon to hit theaters on May 10th, The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Carey Mulligan is sure to be the talk of the town. I came across Tiffany & Co. early this morning and saw they created a collection inspired by the novel and movie. Being one of my all time favorite eras, (I wish I had a time machine...) all I can say is, it's literally to die for. Daisy Buchanan would have been proud.

Filled with pearls, diamonds, and everything glitz and glam I think CoCo Chanel would have been a little jealous. The diamond, pearl encrusted headband piece and bracelet are the tops on my list. Although that stunner of a ring, coming in at 5.25 carats surrounded by flower petals, w/ more diamonds...insane. (you should see the price). Make sure you take a look at the full collection! LOVE that this t-strap style comes in both a flat and a heel...with studs! What could better?

ZARA, where the stylish people go to get their fast-fashion fixes. Especially in the shoe department. Scrolling through their website looking at shoes of course, I saw these beauties. I made sure to make a mental wishlist for these to be in my wardrobe by the end of this year.

Details and beauty are the two words I have to describe the Givenchy Fall 2013 RTW collection. These sheer skirts are the main focal point, with their strong intricate sequin patterns. Pure amazing.

Kate Spade: "One Day" Handbags

The Waverly Street Drew handbag, by one of my favorite designers, Kate Spade, has been on my One Day wishlist for quite sometime now. I LOVE the pink champagne hue. I think it's one of the perfect colors for this season, as well as adds a nice pop of color to your wardrobe!

Yet, then again, I also have this structured black beauty on my list as well. The Mercer Isle Sloan handbag is a classic with a pep in it's step I would say. The cut out's are what makes this purse stand out entirely, as well as it's clean lines. A total must have One Day kind of bag to add some chic-ness to your look.

NYFW could it not be any more of a success?

Terribly sorry about being so MIA on the blog, I have been busy trying to transfer schools, and possibly change my major degree now. Just when you think your have a set plan, things changes at the drop of a hat...

Anywho, one of my favorite designers, Temperley London, made a marvelous apparence down the runway for Fall 2013 RTW, from bright, bold prints, to textured tops and coats. The leather gloves add such a chic touch no? See the entire collection here. I have chosen my favorite looks!

OOTD: Colorful Neutrals

All from Cotton On Clothing, I made all these (past/new) purchases from my own store I work at ;) This very cute and comfy dress I'm wearing was on sale for $5...SCORE! Funny thing is, they didn't even sell this dress in my store, a customer made some purchases from a different store, and decided to exchange their items for something else.

This dress being one of those items, I automatically bought the dress without any thought, being I LOVED the print and colors...anddd it was $5. My maroon colored belt, lovely black studded wedges, and black tights, all together, I think brings a sense of chic-ness and a little dash of egdy.
