<description>Greetings from Tokyo! We stumbled upon Northpoint by the grace of God a week or so ago and have been blown away by what we have learned. We are just beginning a church plant here, trying to gather a core who has the same passion. We were amazed how similar the vision God has given us for a Christian community is to what you are already doing, although the "un" in "unchurched" has a wider and deeper meaning here. Gathering the core has been difficult because most Christians in Japan are totally committed to, albeit often very unsatisfied and frustrated with, their mother church; having Christians come to your church when they are members of another church is called "sheep steeling", (an odd term because sheep like all other animals, are happy where they are well fed.) Nevertheless. We hope that we can continue to learn from your experiences and make them relevant for the culture here. We have been viewing the Driveins, and discussing the simple but wise content taught therein. How else can we connect with the globalx ministry? If you have any advice for us, we would so appreciate it. (I feel a bit like the man in Mesopotamia calling to Paul, "Please come".) Even if you don't "come" in the near future in person, any help you can offer to us would be a great blessing.

All for the glory of our King,
