Almost 18 years later, Wu-Tang Clan and its members have produced some of the best rap albums, together and separately, and become one of the most recognizable collectives in hiphop. Back together tonight for a rare collaborative performance in Austin, the Wu-Tang show has been one of the most anticipated and talked-about appearances at the festival.

But if you can’t score a ticket to the show, or you just want to immerse yourself in hours of glorious beats, at TuneIn, we’ve got you covered. The Clan has started Wu World Radio, an internet-only station with handpicked DJs spinning the best of Wu-Tang, its collaborators and similar artists just for you.
by Michael McGeary

UPDATE: KDAY 93.5 in Los Angeles will be airing a special mix of Nate Dogg tunes alongside interviews with his friends and family tonight at 5pm Pacific. TuneIn here: KDAY

This morning, rap music lost one of its true innovators and legends with the passing of longtime artist, producer and collaborator with the likes of Dr. Dre, Warren G, Eminem among many others, Nate Dogg at the age of 41 following complications from two strokes.

In response, much of the music community is celebrating Nate Dogg’s life and work through his music. Broadcasting from France, Goom Radio (Explicit Content) is broadcasting a special show dedicated to Nate Dogg and his collaborations. Southern California’s KDAY is celebrating his work as well, spinning classics from the groundbreaking 1992 collaboration with Dr. Dre on The Chronic, through his work on Warren G’s Regulate, up into the new century and his work with Eminem. And beginning at 9:30 Pacific, Phoenix’s 101.5 Jamz is broadcasting a special mix by Lady La dedicated to the memory of Nate Dogg.

These are just a few of the resources available on TuneIn, and we hope they help you celebrate the life and work of one of rap music’s true legends. Check our Facebook and Twitter pages throughout the day as well for more, and join the conversation to tell us what you’re listening to as we remember Nate Dogg.

As the music portion of South by Southwest gets underway tonight, we’re highlighting a different artist each day throughout the week who will be appearing at the festival. We figure, if you’re there and want to bone up on an artist’s material before the show you can, or if you can’t make their show and are a big fan (or become one) we at TuneIn can help you connect with their music. We also have our Song Search technology, which allows you to isolate stations and streams from radio all around the world known to play music by these artists.

Our first salvo from SXSW comes from the UK-based independent veterans The Boxer Rebellion. They’ve been all over the independent scenes on both sides of the Pond for a decade, and they will be all over the Festival playing multiple acoustic and electric shows over the next few days. With TuneIn, you can check in with stations – like KCRW, Indie 103, or Radio Paradise – that play music from their latest release The Cold Still, and their entire catalogue, as well as artists like them.

If you can’t be in Austin, TuneIn here. Got another band playing SXSW you think we should highlight?
And Friday, Austin’s own KGSR will be broadcasting live from across the festival, including performances from favorites like the Old 97′s, G. Love and so much more.

Enjoy!

And while you’re listening, you can click over to RedCross.org and consider making a donation to relief efforts.

From RTE’s Radio 1 to Celtic music direct from Ireland and around the world, our St. Pat’s Channel is a great way to kick back and celebrate the Emerald Isle and Lá Fhéile Pádraig.

And don’t forget our SXSW Channel for even more tunes to get you through.
