One Prayer Community Project

We are teaming up with other local churches to provide for families in our area. This will be a part of One Prayer and our anniversary celebration this weekend. Bring the following items and place them in the bins in the foyer.

Dry goods - pasta, rice, beans

Canned goods- fruit, vegetables

Canned juice

Cereal

Toiletries such as soap, deodorant, toothpaste

Together we can change our world!

New Divorce Care Session at LCC

Mother's Day at LCC!

This Sunday, don't forget to invite someone to LCC. We will be celebrating Mother's Day with a special service and a free brunch. Don't miss it!

A few notes on this Sunday:

We will be updating database information for the new system. This system will help you stay connected at LCC and help us to add new people while staying the relational family we are. Be prepared to update your contact information on the feedback form.

We still need volunteers for Sunday. We could use some greeters, food servers, and parking lot greeters. Show up ready to serve Sunday and see someone at the information table to find out how.

Rumors:

There is a very strong rumor that LCC has booked a fairly famous author and leader in the Christian community to speak this Fall. The rumor is true. Stay in touch for information about the identity of the speaker.

Bike Blessing at LCC

This Sunday we are blessing bikes and bikers of all types. Join us as we do a special service at noon followed by blessing bikes (big ones with motors and little ones with pedals too). There will be food, games and a ride through Fauquier county at 3!

LCCers-- join us in blessing bikers by being a part of a team this Sunday. We need cooks, ushers, game helpers, etc.

Living Fine in O9 sermon series was an awesome eye opener for many of us! This Sunday we journey together deeper ...into The Blessed Life sermon series which actually deals with softening the heart and learning how to release the hold of debt!
Bring someone...they have nothing to lose and eternity to gain for .

Last Sunday we participated in baby dedications ...5 children were dedicated by their parents.

Many home groups are meeting throughout: Sumerduck, Remington, Bealeton, Goldvein, Midland, Manassas, Morrisville...let us know if you don't have a home group...we will help find one or even go with you the first time...info@lccbealeton.com...That's how we roll!

Men's Breakfast this Saturday morning at 8am

This Saturday,Grace worship team will be meeting at 10:30am and rolling into a special practice for the Night of Worship coming up on March 1st...anyone interested in participating, instruments, singers, dancers...join us for this first practice.

Sunday quick serve opportunities...MEMBERSHIP NOT REQUIRED
...just be like MIKE and "Do It":
Parking lot crew (20mins)
-wave people into an appropriate spot
-greet them with "good morning"
Snackbar crew (20mins)
-make coffee, popcorn
-keeping the area straightened
-answering question at the table
Hand out bulletins (10mins)
-smile
Seat people with a "good morning" (10mins)
-hold a bulletin or 2 and stand in the isles prior to service to help find seats
Patio greeters (15mins)
-grab a couple of bulletins and say "good morning"
Salt the ramp and shovel if bad weather (30mins)
Bistro area crew (5 mins)
-collect trash and straighten tables between services
Sound crew (20mins)
-learn to work the sound board & computer for worship time
...serve one Service and attend another or...serve at the beginning of the service you attend!

Okay so this Sermon Series "living fine in '09" has truly been a time of growing for many of us right? wow! Anyway...lets get connected:

Need a Home group? It is never too late to visit one...Email: lcchgroups@gmail.com for the group nearest to your house. This is not a bible study group but a family unit you can trust to go through growing times ...together. One home group is doing a financial study with commitments and such...another is studying Ephesians and living out the Word...another supports you through hurts, habits and hangups...there are so many and some people belong to 2 :)

Sunday, February 15th we will dedicate babies, toddlers and children at the 12noon. If you or a friend are interested in getting your baby dedicated...email: info@lccbealeton.com or call the church office with the child's age, full name, and your name as the legal guardian.

Friday, February 13th at 6:30pm is WOMAN 2 WOMAN Dinner here at LCC with every woman invited and bring someone with you. Please contact Shae at 540-439-8943 with your RSVP so that a meal can be planned for you and your guest. This dinner is always lots of fun and very comfortable...

DivorceCARE is up and running under the leadership of Steve Rollinger. Every Monday night at 7pm...

Liberty Communique is coming back to LCC ...this is a way for us to clean out our closets, garages and sheds for those in need of a specific item...pick up your form this Sunday in the Snack Bar area and place it in the offering box located in both foyers of the church.

Wow...Sunday was a powerful day at Liberty CC! Pastor Wes shared the message that we need to look to Christ for the true satisfaction of life in order to live fine in '09. Wow...sure we might have heard it before but many TRULY heard the FRESH WORD of GOD this time! We witness and participated in the first 2 baptisms of 2009! The testimonies were incredibly joyous! Many shared after each service that God is moving in their lives and that they want more of Him! Christ in Action's director Denny showed up with his wonderful wife Sandy and shared about what C.I.A is doing and has done around the world during disasters. Sunday was a powerful day at Liberty CC! 2009 will be a great year for those who decide to stand on the promises of God and continue to take the steps to grow in a closer relationship with Jesus ! Come, Believe and Drink!

Many will be glued to the televisions tomorrow as we watch the first black President take office! Sure you might have voted for him or against him but either way we must continue to pray for all the leaders of government. Trust that God is good and his mercies endureth forever and ever!

Okay so we have been studying the Beatitudes in Matthew 5 to help us to Live Fine in '09. We have really enjoyed step by step through this journey learning what it truly takes to enjoy life given to us. What a gift...shouldn't we know how to use it? During this Sermon Series "Living Fine in '09" there are several Home groups doing many different studies that are helping all of us relearn what true living is all about. One home group is doing the "Managing Finances God's Way". Another group is doing healthy living through eating healthy and exercising. Other groups are reviewing current sermon series that Pastor Wes is giving us on Sundays and really delving into the scriptures and such. The Everlasting Gift

Ok...just breathe! Why wait until tomorrow to give or receive the gift? Come tonight and bring someone to receive the gift of love ....bring them back on Sunday to receive more of the Everlasting Gift of God's love...

TONIGHT 7pm: We will celebrate the birth of Christ in a traditional service by candlelight! We will partake in Holy Communion, sing hymns and listen to scripture readings. Pastor Wes has been an open vessel to God's Word and will share with us a life changing message. All you need to do is clear your over busy agenda and bring your open heart to experience Christ's love for you and your family. The wrapping of the gifts can wait. Bring someone and after the service we will have some light refreshments as we wish each other a very Merry Christmas. This service will NOT be a casual service for Liberty this is a SPECIAL service of reflection and reverence so we ask that when you enter Liberty that you would respect others by remaining quiet through the service.

Thursday & Friday our church offices will be CLOSED so we too can enjoy family time in celebration of God's love for us.

Sunday return at 9am;10:30am and 12noon for our last Sunday service for 2008 as we enter a NEW SERMON SERIES "Living Fine in '09". This sermon series will prepare us for a NEW lifestyle in fixing our finances, preparing our minds, hearts and bodies for a FINE YEAR IN 'O9!
SPECIAL NOTE: Guest speaker, Steve Messick, will not be with us as originally planned.

NEW YEARS EVE PARTY at Liberty with dancing, food, and fun! Doors open at 7pm and we will watch the ball drop via internet at midnight on LARGE SCREEN.

More than just SERVICE !

THIS SUNDAY... "HAVE YOU SEEN CHRISTMAS" musical program featuring a special drama team from LCC under the direction of a very talented creative innovative TEEN...Miss Caitlin Kolba. The program will include talented and gifted dancers under the direction of Mrs. Patrice Blair from the BLAIR DANCE STUDIO who recently were featured on NBC. Our very own children under 5th grade will have a chance to sing with the special Christmas band lead by new recording artist Melinda James whose Christmas CD is being sold and all proceeds go to Liberty Community Church's "BUILDING COMMUNITY" fund. Pastor Wes will share the WORD of God in a SPECIAL MESSAGE just for this community. The snackbar will give SPECIAL hospitality through serving not only popcorn but HOMEMADE cookies from tomorrows WOMEN of LIBERTY's BAKING DAY (Sweet Service). We will do this wonderful service 3 times on Sunday...9am;10:30am and 12noon so ...there is no excuse. REMEMBER we normally pack the house at 10:30am service so...try out 9am or 12noon. IF YOU ARE CHURCH FAMILY MEMBERS please drop your family at the door and park the furthest away so that our guests can park closer. If you would like to help with parking, handing out bulletins or seating people you don't have to be a member just a friendly face with a good heart! Just do it!

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE will be a WONDERFUL tradition family service ....with candles lit, the message of Christmas, wonderful acoustic guitar and sweet voices...perfect to bring your guest to...7pm
