Now that it's officially winter I am already pulling out my favorite lip balm; L'OREAL PARIS HIP Jelly Balms.

It has such a soothing and silky feel to my lips and because my signature makeup look is a dark eye the sheer color of the the jelly balm gives just enough of a shine and lip color to complete it. When on the road for assignments such as Sundance Film Festival I make sure to bring my jelly balms to keep my sensitive lip ultra condition.

The rumor mill is that L'OREAL Paris has discontinued my favorite lip balms so now I must raid the L'OREAL Paris closet so I can have enough to last me in 2012. I suggest you raid the stores, and ebay, I promise you will luv them as much as I do. The only challenge is the product does not come with a lip brush. But once you smell the yummy lip balms on your lips you'll forget about the brush.

Beauty Post:Holiday Day To Night Makeup With L'OREAL Paris

Here are my version of two holiday makeup looks that can be worn by everyone. I selected Tiffany another L'OREAL Paris Pro Makeup Artist because we never see ginger's in magazine wearing both makeup looks. For the day makeup look it would have been easy to select a classic red lip but I wanted red head's to know that they could rock other lip colors as well. On the night look I wanted to have fun with our new infallible 24 hr eye shadows so I opt for midnight blue instead of black eye shadow. For soft to sexy hair I grabbed my favorite item, L'OREAL Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray.

Of course not everyone will be a fan but at least you can see that you can be GLAMXURIOUS on a budget. Thanks L'OREAL Paris for letting me do the makeup looks and to the staff at BBB for allowing us to film at their location.

VH-1 Divas; Backstage Getting Dancers Glam

After talking with the talented choreographer Fatima Robinson about the makeup look during Mary J Blige and Kelly Clarkson rehearsal. Fatima shared with me what she wanted for the dancers so I knew I had to use products that was going to last the dancers all evening. I prep all their faces with Maya Water and OCC lip balm for their lips. On the eyes I selected L'OREAL Paris new Infallible 24hrs eye shadows. On the lips I used both L'OREAL Paris Colour Riche leGloss in Raspberry Splash and Stila Cosmetics Lip Enamel lip gloss in Giggle.

Enjoy some of the backstage shots of me getting some of the fabulous female dancers ready. I worked backstage with Celebrity Makeup Artist & Hair Stylist Leo Eley who worked on the hair and we were a great team together. I think my highlight was seeing Denzel Washington and all I can remember hearing his tone not sure what he was saying. My brain completely shut down and Denzel sound like Charlie Brown teacher...womp womp womp womp. Ladies 50 cent was also backstage on stage, he looked very handsome and actually he may have been the only guy that was dressed for the occasion, at least that I saw. Travie McCoy was such a gentlemen when he sit in my chair. Very sweet guy and thinking me with a hug and a kiss on the check, I can't complain. I did see the handsome makeup artist Sam Fine for 30 seconds backstage. Sorry that I couldn't have more pics for you but cameras was off limits in 90% of the area backstage and I was super busy running around.

L'OREAL PARIS Boutique at Real Simple Holiday Pop Up Shop

L'OREALPARIS was one of the sponsors for Real Simple Magazine Holiday Pop-Up Shop in Bryant Park from December 8th-13th. This year I experienced so many highlights working this assignment doing fun makeup. On Wednesday night was the private VIP Party with @djparhomage on the wheels spinning so many great hits.

Thursday morning was dedicated to bloggers from 10am-11am and at 11am Candance Nelson founder of Sprinkles Cupcakes did a demo on stage. The L'OREAL Boutique was swamp with consumers that we didn't get a chance to try any of the cupcakes. You know how I am a fan of cupcakes so I was a little sad.

On Saturday Real Simple Magazine Editor Sarah Humphreys did a cooking demo with Top Chef Judge Gail Simmons. Later in the afternoon I hit the stage with Holiday Makeup for the evening. My model was Erika a single mother of 2 from Westchester, NY. I shared with Erika in the audience how to achieve a quick glam makeup & hair look for the holidays.

On Sunday I did full makeup on the stunning Dylan Lauren founder ofDylan's Candy Bar. Dylan is such a lady, very glam, that I would be honor to work with her again. Luv her style! Then the fabulous Tiffany Hall Scaramana, my bestie did a demo on Holiday Looks for day. I was very excited to meet and do makeup on Daniele Fiori, founder of Sweet Dani B, She was so cool to work with. Her husband took a picture of us so it should be on her blog by now. From 4pm-8pm Real Simple started Happy Hour with @djpayhomage on the wheels of steels, this guy is a beast...luv him! One of the helpers gave us a REAL SIMPLE lesson on how to dougie.

On Monday both Tiffany and I worked with Real Simple Magazine Managing Editor Kristin Van Ogtrop. Last year I did both hair & makeup so it was a treat to work with Kristin again...luv her. After the event was over we decided to do a staff dinner at The Australian, now that was so much. Always luv to bond with the Pro Team, our Manager Christian, and Tech Manager, Michael. What a blast we had that evening.

Tuesday after the event was over Real Simple Magazine put together a wrap party. Guess who showed up...Special Guest, TEYONCE.

Overall a great week working with the PRO TEAM, the hours were long but we had so much fun. Meet so many of our consumers and followers. Took lots of pictures so if you see any floating send them my way. But I'm sharing my glam life with you. See Ya Bye!

I just received a box of goodies from @AlisonBrodPR just in time for tomorrow photo shoot. This morning I finally finished tweaking my face charts of the two glam holiday makeup looks that I will be doing. But now after receiving 3 new items; L'OREAL Nail Polish in Tangerine Crush, Magic Smooth Souffle Blush in Celestial and Infallible Eye Shadow in Bronzed Taupe that I now have to redo both charts to add in these delicious items. The blush color is perfect for one of the makeup looks that I will be doing because I was going for a natural blush color. I'm so excited can't wait for tomorrow shoot. Real Simple Magazine Holiday Pop Up Shop In NYC

Just finished a Conference Call to go over Real Simple Magazine Holiday Pop Up Store assignment. Both makeup artist Tiffany Hall-Scaramana and myself have worked the assignment last year doing complimentary makeovers with L'OREAL Paris. This year we were asked to do a real simple makeover segment on stage. Today's call we discussed the outline with L'OREAL Paris of the lineup with us. I'm schedule to speak on Saturday presenting Gorgeous Holiday Looks for Evening. It will be a glamxurious look that ladies can achieve at home.

Sneak Peeks & Fun Treats at L'OREAL PARIS USA Product Launch

Butterfly Studio & Salon hosted L'OREAL Paris USA Fall 2011 event on Tuesday afternoon while @JohnnyLavoy lead L'OREAL Paris Hair & Makeup Pro Team with the vision of sexy hair and makeup for the models. The Pro Team arrived at the L'OREAL Office on 5th Ave and car service brought the team over to Butterfly Studio & Salon where the event took place. Alison Brod PR and her team were adding the finishing touches upon our arriving. Magazine editors were treated to a brilliant session of new products from L'OREAL PARIS USA launching in mid-December. So many amazing items will hit the shelves just in time for the holidays. I think many will be surprised by but will appreciate all the fabulousness.

Guests sipped on champagne, indulged on a beautiful spread of appetizers and munched on True Match M&M's while stopping by each station to learn about new products as they wrote notes in their complimentary L'OREAL PARIS journal. One of my favorite stations besides the makeup station (of course) was the NAIL BAR. Guests were able to make their own custom nail color. So many changes to L'OREAL PARIS that I wish I could share with you as I'm honor to have been a part.

New Orleans Bride Magazine Winter Photo Shoot

A beautiful day at the winter bridal photo shoot with New Orleans Bride Magazine. It's always nice to get requested for any assignment in New Orleans to do makeup since I am not living there full time. And getting to work with Lisa, Theresa, and Erin is always a highlight. I actually enjoyed working with an all female staff on set. There were 6 dress changes and a cover shot. So I changed up the model look a few times using different lip and blush colors. I wanted to keep each makeup look soft, fresh, and perfect for any day bride. Can't wait to see the finish product.

Thursday I was schedule to do makeup applications at BIBI Salon NYC in Harlem. I knew I wanted to use the L'OREAL PARIS & Project Runway exclusive makeup collection. I really love the collection a lot and have been using it on assignments.

One of the ladies Barbara wanted something glamxurious but natural. I selected something fun and wanted to give her a little pop to the eyes since Barbara was attending Central Park AUTUMN IN THE PARK: An Evening of Cocktails, Dinner, and Dancing.

I'm An Addict for Beauty Addicts Cosmetics

I received a few pieces of makeup from @beautyADDICTS today and I can't wait to play with them tonight and tomorrow. I met Joseph Mastalia, the President of DEPASQUALE Companies last month at this gorgeous Penthouse in New York. He was very impress with my makeup resume and said he would have someone from beautyADDICTS get in touch with me. He was not joking because the next day I received an email about setting up a meeting. Because of my schedule I have been traveling a lot with work that I have not had time to lock something in last month with them. So today I received some samples of the products, I guess so I can get it in my hands.

I already luv the packaging it reminds me of BURBERRY BEAUTY packaging but BURBERRY BEAUTY is much heavier. So tonight, I'll play with the eyeshadow, blush, and press powder and will use it on Thursday when I go to New Orleans to do the bridal shoot with New Orleans Bride Magazine. But if I really like it then it may not make it into my makeup kit.

iDIE!!! Just finished watching my favorite childhood music group Duran Duran new music video for the single "GIRL PANIC". Swarovski Elements another favorite of mine have their brand all over this glamxurious video. Duran Duran has been know to use supermodels in their videos and once again they didn't disappoint. Director Jonas Ackerlund brought in our fabulous ladies and they are still stunning as ever; Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Helena Christensen, Yasmin Le Bon, and Eva Herzigova.

My Glamxurious evening with Glamour Magazine 21st #WOTY

As I got myself hair and makeup ready it did not hit me that I was going to be doing makeup in the L'OREAL Paris green room for Glamour magazine "Women Of The Year" event at Carnegie Hall. I knew the event was going to be very spectacular, adorn with many elegant women looking stunning. So I decided to glam up my makeup and selected the L'OREAL Paris Project Runway makeup collection palette. I styled my hair the way Nate Berkus likes it and of course finishing it off with Elnett Satin hairspray. I choose my Swarovski crystals chandelier earrings I knew they would pop against my yummy hot pink lipstick.

As Tiffany and I enter through the stage door we were greeted by the staff at check in. Lorraine Nunez and Alicia Barone from Glamour magazine allowed for a smooth check in by confirming with us on Friday afternoon. We were given 2 assistants (Stephanie & Remi) to help us through out the evening. I always find it very helpful having personal help at large scale events as such. The green room decor was nicely done very comfortable for the talents to sit, mingle, and eat as they wait to go on stage. My first talent was Barbara Walters who wanted me to touch up her hair because it had falling flat. I used my favorite, Elnett Satin hairspray to give her more volume and touched up her lips to give her a little more pop before going on stage. My last talent of the evening was Jennifer Aniston, she was a blast. I think Jennifer was enjoying herself in the L'OREAL Paris green room with Tiffany and I way to much. Jennifer laughs a lot, she's real, someone you would call a bestie, and we talked about everything, but I can't kiss & tell. Tiffany is always amazed how celebs open up to me and tell me things that reporters would die for. This is why I am now ready for my reality show because sometimes my life seems unreal even to me, lol. Pink Sneakers productions we can talk again if you like, lol.

Our makeup room was a hit with the ladies that stopped by. I think Diana Sawyer may have stopped in the most to see Tiffany for hair, makeup, and even help with her clothes. The room was glamorous and it felt very intimate, the fresh cut flowers gave it a very soft scent that the ladies felt comfortable.With so many great L'OREAL Paris products surrounding them of course they didn't want to leave and I didn't want to see them go.

The gorgeous Nate Berkus came over to prep his hair sharing my can of Elnett Satin Hairspray. You would think Nate and I would have conversation about decorating/design but we actually talked about hair. The sexiest thing Nate said to me is "you have great hair"! I'm like every time you see me Nate you always make hot comments about my hair. And he said, well at least I'm consistent. He is so true, but Nate has good hair as well. So I actually think Nate has an obsession with hair and he especially luv my hair. Nate your awesome...luv him!!!

Glam Day at OPRAH O Magazine Event

When @LOREALPARISUSA called to say that they were sending the L'OREAL Pro Team to Atlanta for @OPRAH @O_Magazine event I was elated. Friday afternoon at the Georia World Convention Center, Christian our tour manager confirmed that I would be speaking on the second stage with O Magazine Style Expert & Creative Director Adam Glassman alongside Valerie (VAL) Monore the Beauty Director. My legs got weak as we rode the escalator to the 2nd floor. Everything was moving fast, I was now schedule to rehearse and meet with the producer as well as go over speaking points. This is not my first rodeo ride working this event but this was the first time now being a part of the O You event, The Lord has heard my prayers.

Last week at the L'OREAL PARIS USA tech center where all the magic takes place I went over to do the beginning part of filming of the makeover not knowing that I was going to be a part of the revealing. All of the hair & makeup products that was used were all from L'OREAL PARIS. I believe in 2-3 weeks you will be able to see the video on O Magazine website....Glam Life Of A Makeup Artist!!!
