AeroMechanical Services (AMA) has achieved a monumental agreement, which opens the aeronautical world to its data streaming technology.

It is partnering with L-3 Communications to jointly market and sell AMA's real-time data and internet solutions. L-3 sells Flight Data Recorders, or as they are more commonly known, "black boxes." The key to this combination is that for the first time, the much talked about black box and its data will be live.

In short, even in advance of an aircraft accident, data will be streamed and investigations can begin their vital work before the black box is recovered.

This agreement is a coup for AeroMechanical and speaks volumes about AMA's technology as L3 is the dominant player in the world with more than $14 billion in annual sales.

Now, experts on the ground can be instantly notified of a problem on board an aircraft and analyze the data - even ask for more data from the aircraft - to see if they can help the pilots through an emergency.

That’s because AeroMechanical’s technology known as afirstm or Automated Flight Information Reporting System transmitting through the Iridium satellite network allows ground experts to text or phone pilots at any time, no matter where the pilots are flying.

This is one giant leap in passenger safety.

Anglo Swiss has substantially upped its land position in the gold rich valley to the south of its Kenville gold property that sits just outside of Nelson, BC.

Anglo has acquired a 100% interest in the Referendum Gold property that covers 1381 hectares and 19 claims for payments totalling $250,000 and 300,000 common shares to be paid over 5 years.

The company believes that the regional geological trend known as the Silver King Shear that runs through Kenville extends to the south. As such, this property acquistion will enhance its chances of striking the mineralization source.

The Silver King Shear is host to multiple gold, copper and silver mines in southeast BC and Anglo now has control over 16 square kilometres in this key area.

New Technology Gives Pure Nickel An Edge At MAN Alaska

With full exploration results from Pure Nickel's Alaskan property, MAN still several weeks away, the company felt it prudent to get new information to the market regarding the summer work program. The news release provided a bit of a teaser and a hint that the company feels it may be onto something sizeable based on what new technology is indicating.

2009 marked Pure Nickel's most active exploration and technical program at MAN with its partner ITOCHU contributing $4.4 million USD to advance the project.

An airborne survey called ZTEM started in late May with 2672 kilometers (1,660 miles) flown. This technology allows the company to look for zones very deep under the surface. Extensive analysis of the data recovered from the air pointed the company towards potential drilling targets at depth.

Exploration drilling started in early June and was completed in late September by Cyr Drilling. The company completed seven holes totalling 4,200 metres (13,780 feet). One hole in particular was drilled to 1,066 metres (3,500 feet) with a deeper zone targeted as a large mineralized source was indicated below. A bigger drill is planned for this zone next year to ensure that the targeted depths can be reached.

The company is utilizing the latest technology currently available to help explore this massive property. At the same time drilling was taking place geophysical work was being completed. A new electromagnetic technology was used for the first time in north American nickel exploration and the company was able to identify targets at depths greater than 800 metres (2,600 feet).

Much was learned this year about MAN with more evidence pointing to the merits of the company's theory that MAN represents a major magmatic or plumbing system of rich mineralization.

IWG Reaches Milestone As Industry Ground Shifts

International Water Guard hit a high point by putting the final touches on its 2000th aircraft water treatment unit just as the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was once more ringing the alarm bell over how bad untreated aircraft water can be.

The bell came through long-awaited EPA regulations that will soon force commercial aircraft flying over the U.S. to complete regular testing of aircraft tap water and submit the results of those tests to the EPA. That's because the EPA found that up to 17% of the water it randomly collected off commercial passenger jets flunked municipal water safety thresholds.

The Wall St. Journal did an earlier investigation and found much worse results. In fact, one sample the paper took from a short-haul flight in the northwest U.S. was so bad, the lab said it was like drinking tainted hamburger meat.

IWG's business to date comes from the corporate jet and VIP jet market.

Owners or managers of these aircraft are much closer to their customers and are thus keenly aware they can't risk the health of the corporate elite and heads of state they ferry around the world.
Tapping into the commerical passenger airlines would open up a market that is hundreds of times larger.

And now, IWG has the EPA as a silent partner while trying to break into that market.

Carfinco Income Fund Shines With Cash Distributions

"Cash is king" and so it is with the recent addition to The Howard Group's client portfolio of the Carfinco Income Fund. The Trust is an automotive specialty finance company with a focus on the non-prime sector.

The company wisely began taking steps in late 2007 to address credit and cash issues as it smelled the first signs of the pending financial meltdown. Not only did it make it through the chaos but its position in the marketplace was strengthened as competitors either left the business in Canada or adjusted lending policies.

In early 2008 management stopped monthly distributions to preserve cash with unit values falling from a high of $4.75 to a brief stop at $0.25. In August 2009 monthly distributions were resumed at $0.015 or $0.18/unit annualized with a resultant rise in the unit value to the $1.70 range.

Of course, this is a far cry from the unit highs but it does suggest there's a real chance of returning to those levels as distributions increase. As such this is a company that the market should be looking at very closely.

NXT Signs Second Colombian SFD™ Contract with New Client

Today, NXT Energy announced its second Colombian SFD™ (Stress Field Detector) survey contract in less than six months. Although the name of the client isn’t disclosed, management acknowledges that NXT began conversations with the company at the Exploration Symposium in Cartegena, Colombia in late July.

The contract has a two tier structure.

Upon the successful completion of the initial $576,000 (USD) survey, the company will conduct a second survey for an additional $360,000 (USD). This payment does not include the cost of mobilizing the aircraft, as the client will be paying that cost separately.

What the market should appreciate is that in a relatively short period of time NXT has secured a bridgehead in Colombia. It is one of the world’s most sought after areas by energy companies because of its abundance of opportunities for major discoveries combined with a friendly political and tax environment. However, the terrain is not always the most hospitable, which makes NXT’s airborne technology ideally suited for Colombia.

Highlights of the presentation are as follows:
· Operated up until the end of 2008, entirely in Canada.
· Had recent success internationally, specifically with Pacific Rubiales (PRE: TSX) in Colombia. The contract’s value was $2.3 million (USD).
· Pacific Rubiales contracted NXT Energy to conduct its survey because it was concerned it would not be able to meet government requirements for development work on its land holdings.
· 10 years to develop the SFD (stress field detector) technology.
· SFD technology is an airborne survey system that allows NXT to survey territories for oil and gas structures and does not impact the environment.
· SFD reduces cost, time and risk associated with wide area seismic.
· Global oil & gas exploration market - $400 billion is spent every year.

The Q & A attracted very good questions such as:

Q - Does the system work over water?
A – Yes it works over both onshore and offshore.

Q – What depth of water?
A – We have no limitations of water depth whatsoever. Stress measured by SFD develops in the subsurface. No issues with mountains, jungles, etc.

Q – (When you've done a survey, have your clients found oil?)

A – Every time we do a survey our (profit) margin is about 65-85%, plus we do a gross overriding royalty. We are receiving royalties from Pengrowth on two surveys we completed for them with our technology.

Q – Are there any competitors?
A – We are not aware of any technology close to the SFD technology. The closest one is still 3D seismic.

Q – Why haven’t some of the large petroleum companies in the US selected your strategy to find some of their oil?
A – Majors are slow to pick up new technologies and want to know everything about your technology. We are in the process of patenting technology in the next two years. Geophysicists and geologists generally like to use technologies that they’ve used in the past and are familiar with.

Q – Wouldn’t it be cheaper to use existing satellites rather than aircraft?
A – Yes we could mount technology on satellites, we are not there yet.

Anglo Swiss Gold Resource Estimate Moving Upward

Anglo Swiss has now posted its first technical gold resource report called a NI 43-101 with estimates continuing to move in a very positive direction. The data was obtained from what's known as Level 257 at the company's Kenville Gold Mine just outside of Nelson BC.

The report was written by independent Geologist Richard Munroe. He reported larger volumes of gold than initially detailed in an August 5th news release. Level 257 is only one of six levels at Kenville and the report estimates the gold resource to be 373,238 ounces from this level alone.

The Howard Group will soon meet with Anglo Swiss management to review the report to allow us to provide additional commentary on future operational plans.

Richard Munroe will be working to complete another report on Kenvilles' next level up known as Level 275. Rehabilitation of this level had been taking place over the summer with the company planning on determining a gold resource from this level as a priority.

Further proposed exploration discussed in the news release includes initiating an extensive drilling program both below and above ground. Anglo also plans to drift (blast) underground from level 257 to the discovered Eagle Vein system which is known to host similar mineralization as Level 257.

The company also stated that it plans to complete its upgraded mill facility to allow it to produce gold which will further fund the company's exploration and operations.

Resources aside, an important point to remember about Anglo is that there is substantial infrastructure in place with existing underground access to quantified reserves. This will mean considerable cost savings going forward.

Inferred Mineral Resource

An ‘Inferred Mineral Resource’ is that part of a Mineral Resource for which quantity and grade or quality can be estimated on the basis of geological evidence and limited sampling and reasonably assumed, but not verified, geological and grade continuity. The estimate is based on limited information and sampling gathered through appropriate techniques from locations such as outcrops, trenches, pits, workings and drill holes.

Due to the uncertainty that may be attached to Inferred Mineral Resources, it cannot be assumed that all or any part of an Inferred Mineral Resource will be upgraded to an Indicated or Measured Mineral Resource as a result of continued exploration. Confidence in the estimate is insufficient to allow the meaningful application of technical and economic parameters or to enable an evaluation of economic viability worthy of public disclosure. Inferred Mineral Resources must be excluded from estimates forming the basis of feasibility or other economic studies.

Indicated Mineral Resource

An ‘Indicated Mineral Resource’ is that part of a Mineral Resource for which quantity, grade or quality, densities, shape and physical characteristics, can be estimated with a level of confidence sufficient to allow the appropriate application of technical and economic parameters, to support mine planning and evaluation of the economic viability of the deposit. The estimate is based on detailed and reliable exploration and testing information gathered through appropriate techniques from locations such as outcrops, trenches, pits, workings and drill holes that are spaced closely enough for geological and grade continuity to be reasonably assumed.

Mineralization may be classified as an Indicated Mineral Resource by the Qualified Person when the nature, quality, quantity and distribution of data are such as to allow confident interpretation of the geological framework and to reasonably assume the continuity of mineralization. The Qualified Person must recognize the importance of the Indicated Mineral Resource category to the advancement of the feasibility of the project. An Indicated Mineral Resource estimate is of sufficient quality to support a Preliminary Feasibility Study which can serve as the basis for major development decisions.

Measured Mineral Resource

A ‘Measured Mineral Resource’ is that part of a Mineral Resource for which quantity, grade or quality, densities, shape, and physical characteristics are so well established that they can be estimated with confidence sufficient to allow the appropriate application of technical and economic parameters, to support production planning and evaluation of the economic viability of the deposit. The estimate is based on detailed and reliable exploration, sampling and testing information gathered through appropriate techniques from locations such as outcrops, trenches, pits, workings and drill holes that are spaced closely enough to confirm both geological and grade continuity.

Mineralization or other natural material of economic interest may be classified as a Measured Mineral Resource by the Qualified Person when the nature, quality, quantity and distribution of data are such that the tonnage and grade of the mineralization can be estimated to within close limits and that variation from the estimate would not significantly affect potential economic viability. This category requires a high level of confidence in, and understanding of, the geology and controls of the mineral deposit.

Pure Nickel In Strong Cash Position

Pure Nickel brought the market up to date with recent news on its Q3 financials and an overview of activity throughout the summer.

On the financial side the company reported that it had a strong cash position of $7.4 million. Having conserved its cash through the economic downturn the company is in a great position going into 2010. Importantly, it enjoys the financial benefits of having a JV partner (ITOUCHU) on NIC's Alaska project.

In that vein, the biggest project for the year has been continuing exploration on its massive nickel and Platinum Group Elements (PGE) property in Alaska called MAN. The company is awaiting assay results from the summer drill program but is also in the process of reviewing additional technical data gathered over the last several months.

Although MAN has been getting the majority of attention due to its potential, the company is far from being a one trick pony. It has multiple properties including SR1 in Quebec. This past July further work resulted in identification of additional mineralization in various parts of the property. This project was originally acquired from Xstrata, (formally Falconbridge) in 2007.

The jet is called the G650 and it is the fastest, largest and longest-range corporate jet in the world. It is an eye popping bird that can hit a maximum operating speed of mach 0.925, which is just shy of the speed of sound.

Gulfstream announced earlier that it expects to have the aircraft globally certified by 2011 and in full service by 2012.

Anglo Swiss Adds Land Interests Around Kenville Mine

The Kenville Gold Mine just outside of Nelson, BC sits in an area that has a long history of rich gold and silver discoveries. The area known as the Silver King Shear is the host to numerous historical gold and silver mines in southeastern British Columbia including Anglo’s Kenville Gold Mine.

Anglo Swiss has announced that it has entered into an Option/Joint Venture Agreement with Klondike Gold (TSX-V: KG) on its Ron Gold Property allowing Anglo to earn in up to 60% of 1492 hectares surrounding its 100% owned Kenville gold property.

The Ron Gold Property that Anglo negotiated to earn in on consists of 37 contiguous staked mineral claims and one crown granted mineral claim. These claims currently surround Anglo's Kenville property in a horseshoe fashion. As such, ASW has acquired the last key piece of the puzzle to make this an area play. The acquisition greatly enhances Anglo’s land position to the south, which extends the potential strike length of the regional geological trend along the Silver King Shear.

This "new Kenville" could become a multi project property with a focus on below surface gold potential and porphry (at or near surface).

Today, NXT Energy Solutions released a detailed overview of its 2nd Quarter and provided more insight into its strategy to further penetrate the Colombian/Latin American market.

Key points from the release include:

• Balance sheet remains strong with cash reserves and no debt.

• The single Pacific Rubiales contract generated a 2nd quarter profit of $283,005.

• NXT projects that its operating costs will further decline as a percentage of revenue with further contracts in the Latin American region.

Gold Zone Expanded At Asia Now's Property - Beiya

Asia Now has been working to prove a resource at one of its key properties named Beiya in the province of Yunan, China.

The Beiya property sits adjacent to the largest open-pit gold mine in Yunan, which produces roughly 100,000 ounces of gold per year and has a two million ounce gold reserve.

The existing open-pit mine is looking to expand and Asia Now has all of the surrounding land covering 586 square kilometres.

The results released today by Asia Now expand the known gold-silver zone near the mine by 280 metres confirming the main zone extends at least 660 metres from the existing mine and is still open to the north and the west.

The grades of gold that Asia Now has recently confirmed on its property is higher than the resource at the adjacent mine. Based on this, the company is motivated to move full steam ahead and in addition to the two drill rigs currently working this property, two more will be added to speed up the process of defining a resource at Beiya.

The airborne survey that NXT Energy just completed for Pacific Rubiales in Colombia clearly shows the significant margins associated with its SFD surveys. NXT’s Q2 results published on SEDAR on August 28th shows the 60% margin it received for its services in Colombia. What is also important to note is that figure includes the costs associated with mobilizing its entire senior management and survey teams down to Bogata, plus all associated costs with conducting its operations in Colombia (Please note: Management believes future contracts in Colombia would result in reduced expenditures).

In total the value of the Pacific Rubiales contract was $2.3 million (USD). If all revenues had been received in Q2 for this contract, NXT would have been slightly cash flow positive for the year to date.

The total net income recorded for the quarter was shown as $283,005 or $0.01/share.

Boyued by its success with the Pacific Rubiales work and news of its work filtering through the energy community there, NXT also stated in the MDA it was hoping to do even more business in South America:

“The SFD® advantage and growing reputation of our company within Colombia was evident at a geological and geophysical technical symposium in Cartagena, Colombia attended by NXT in late July 2009. Over 25 regional exploration companies expressed interests in utilizing our services in the region.”

Anglo Swiss has raised funds in the past but the September 1st closing of a $2.1 million financing through Kingsdale Capital Markets Inc. could be the most important funds that Anglo has raised to date.

Toronto based Kingsdale Capital represents the first brokered private placement that Anglo has completed. Having a financier with the credibility of Kingsdale has helped get institutional interest in Anglo's story and stock as Kingsdale has a long track record in the small cap market.

What is important is that much of this financing was taken up by fund managers including some very well known names.

Anglo sold 7 million units at $0.30 with each unit consisting of one common share and one-half common share purchase warrant exercisable for two years at $0.60.

The company could have raised more money but only wanted a minimum amount of dilution in its stock at this price.

These funds will be used for further exploration and to complete it mill facility at its Kenville Gold Mine near Nelson BC.

Anglo Swiss announced today that the company has agreed to a brokered private placement to the sum of $2.1 million.

Toronto based Kingsdale Capital Markets has agreed to sell the financing on a best efforts basis for 7 million units at $0.30 per unit. Each unit will consist of one common share and one-half common share purchase warrant exercisable for two years at $0.60.

Anglo has ear marked the funds both for exploration drilling this fall and to finish its mill facility at the Kenville gold mine above Nelson, British Columbia.

Unseen Financial Gem in International Water Guard

A steady management hand at International Water Guard - and one that moved quickly to trim costs in a deteriorating market - won the admiration of an analyst who set IWG's fair value share price five times higher than its current level.

Analyst Siddharth Rajeev at Fundamental Research pegged the company's fair value share price at $0.30, well above the Aug. 19th share price close of $0.06.

Rajeev said one financial gem that caught his eye in IWG's June 30th, third-quarter results was the Vancouver-based company's strong working capital, worth about $0.05 per share. Yet Mr. Rajeev calculated the market is only giving IWG a company value of $0.01 per share based on IWG's July 29th share-price close.

As a result of that and more, Mr. Rajeev stuck with his recommendation for investors to BUY IWG shares in this his 12th financial update on the company. Mr. Rajeev was writing after IWG's third quarter ended June 30th. Even though Q3 revenues dropped 11% year over year, Mr. Rajeev noted IWG President and CEO David Fox cut operating costs by 9%, instep with the soured aviation market.

The aviation industry around the world suffered several setbacks over the near past. First came sky-high fuel prices. That was followed by the world-wide recession. The third calamity was the swine flu breakout and the extra chill that brought to already cooled air travel. All of which resulted in IWG selling less of its sophisticated water disinfection and water storage technology for aircraft.
But despite all of the above, Mr. Rajeev estimates IWG will finish this difficult fiscal year on Sept. 30th with nearly $1 million in the corporate vault - marking the fourth consecutive year IWG has increased its cash position. Another factor that could bode well for IWG's share price is the improved overall market, Mr. Rajeev noted.

The S&P Aerospace & Defense Industry Index rose 41% since last March. While the analyst wasn't pointing to that index rise to sound the end of this economic downturn, he guardedly offered it could be a leading indicator for a general economic recovery by the end of this year - and thus improved sales prospects for IWG.
Mr. Rajeev also noted that IWG delivered its first water treatment units to Gulfstream, makers of the biggest, fastest - and one of the most expensive - corporate jets in the world, the G650. The sleek new aircraft will have IWG's water technology as standard equipment and according to reliable industry trade publications, the corporate aircraft manufacturer's order book is holding steady at 200 + aircraft. It also helps IWG with its standing in other aviation markets that Gulfstream picked IWG as the 2008 Supplier of the Year award. That's the third consecutive year IWG has been handed that prestigious award.
Adding to the foundational strength of the company is the fact that both Mr. Fox, IWG's President and CEO, and the company's Vice President & General Manager, Gerald Eiers, were buying up company stock last month.

Anglo Swiss has added to its portfolio a piece of land called the White Claim which is adjacent to its Kenville Gold Mine property outside of Nelson BC.

The 21 acres known as the White Claim is on the eastern portion of its property and has a history of established vein systems that Anglo wants to take a closer look at.

Also in today's news Anglo mentioned that it has applied for a 375 metre drift permit to reach the Eagle Vein structure from underground at its main 257 level. Drifting allows the company to blast its way underground to further explore the multi vein structure that lies parallel to 257 that it first encountered in 2007 through drilling.

In a day long-awaited, the Kenville Gold Mine just outside Nelson British Columbia has received its first gold resource report called a NI 43-101 on one of six levels known as Level 257.

The report indicates that the gold resource from level 257 alone is 250,845 ounces of gold. This report was completed by Geologist Richard Munroe and can be viewed in its entirety once posted on SEDAR within 45 days.

The numbers that are mentioned in today's news from the report are classified in three categories of tonnage and values; Measured, Indicated and Inferred. The vast majority of the 250, 845 ounces of gold is in the Inferred category. See full definitions of these category's at the bottom of the page taken from CIM Definition Standards Page 4 - November 22, 2005.

This report is a new beginning for Anglo Swiss. The company has already started planning to further define its gold reserves on the next higher level called Level 275. Anglo plans to have Richard Munroe start a new report on level 275 this summer.

Over the past few years Anglo has been referring to Kenville's historical values based on what was found in the record books. This report brings the company up to today's standards of reporting and leaves it compliant in the eyes of the securities commission.

The news release today states that Anglo was required to clarify some of its past disclosure and reporting because Anglo had mentioned non-compliant resource estimates based on historical records. Now that the company has gone through a thorough scrutiny with the B.C. Securities Commission, shareholders can be confidant that future reporting will be fully compliant.

Reserves aside, an important point to remember about ASW is that there is substantial infrastructure in place with existing underground access to quantified reserves. This will mean considerable cost savings going forward.

Inferred Mineral Resource
An ‘Inferred Mineral Resource’ is that part of a Mineral Resource for which quantity and grade or quality can be estimated on the basis of geological evidence and limited sampling and reasonably assumed, but not verified, geological and grade continuity. The estimate is based on limited information and sampling gathered through appropriate techniques from locations such as outcrops, trenches, pits, workings and drill holes.

Indicated Mineral Resource

IWG On The Hunt in Weak Markets

International Water Guard (IWG) reported lower sales in its fiscal 09 third quarter (June 30)but despite the economic slump, it showed an impressive 23 % sales increase over the nine-month period.

The nine-month net earnings showed an eqaully impressive gain, moving from a loss of $137 thousand in the first nine months of Fiscal 2008 to positive net earnings of $122 thousand in the current fiscal year's nine-month period.

Given it's relatively good performance, IWG President and CEO David Fox said he is taking a multi-pronged approach to driving growth.

Most interestingly, he is on the hunt for "opportunities" created by the general economic slump. He's saying little more than that but a first-year business student might conclude he is on the prowl to acquire promising companies in the aviation sectors that have been wounded by the economic downturn.

I'll leave it to you to decide after reading Mr. Fox's full quote that was contained in IWG's third-quarter report:

"Looking forward, we are moving with caution in terms of our cost base while increasing our sales activities and investigating opportunities that are being uncovered by the downturn."

Third quarter sales ending June 30th were $1.1 million, off 11% from the same quarter in the previous year.

As mentioned earlier, the nine-month period looked much better; sales totalled $3.6 million, up 23% from the same nine-month period in the company's last fiscal year.

"Our performance over the first nine months of the year has been good, in particular considering the generally negative industry climate," Mr. Fox said.
