We live in the most abundant times in human history. We're so blessed, we're stressed.

• We have so many clothes, we often experience Apparelization: the stress felt undecided, frozen in our closets,paralyzed by our apparel.
• Most Americans cannot fit their car in their garage.
• Storage is a billion dollar business.
• Our children have more toys and gadgets than their room was designed to hold. We get angry with them when it becomes a mess. But wait, who bought them all the junk?
• We have so much food, that for the first time in human history it's more difficult to keep excess fat off than it is to keep from starving.
• We have "junk" drawers, closets and attics.
• The endless barrage of information/entertainment streaming into our eyes hypnot...

  If I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I'd want to pass along to others...

  If you want your life to be different, you must do something different.

  Whenever you face problems in life and work, there will always be an element of fear. Everyone has fears. Everyone has obstacles. You have to act on your fears in spite of your obstacles. This is courage. You cannot change, grow or progress without courage.

  You may have fewer opportunities to fail by not taking risks, but the negative energy from being stuck, unhappy and complacent surely outweighs the feelings of happiness. Live courageously and feel your "can-do, will-do" exhilarating attitude.

  When you honestly want something, you will find your courage and take action. If you want good things to happen for you, then make wise choices for yourself regardless of your fears and obstacles.

  You have to persevere regardless of what others may think or say about you. You cannot let others' false assumptions and insecure judgments stop you from supporting your core beliefs and pursuin...

  Imagine you are in a cathedral of tall pines, stretching hundreds of feet into the sky, the golden sunlight slanting down in shafts through the branches. Peace fills your heart as you walk through this perfect creation. Or maybe your perfect place is a beach of white sand; the crash and murmur of the ocean, warm sand squishing between your toes and massaging your feet, the caress of a warm breeze on your skin, your body soaking up the glorious sun and sensations.

  This place, wherever it is, even if it is only in your mind, is a special place for you, a place where you can connect to your inner soul and the beauty and peace that is yours naturally, because you are a part of creation.

  The natural world is especially conducive to reaching that place within ourselves, because there we see reflected all around us the perfection of creation. Peace and beauty are all magically working in perfect order.

  When my wife was pregnant with our daughter, I anxiously anticipated her arrival with thoughts of what kind of perfect father I would be. I thought of all the wisdom I had gathered, all the stuff in my brain I could teach her, all the perfect lessons she would learn form the vast knowledge I had accumulated.

  In the hospital it was a trying wait. Shortly after they cut the umbilical cord from a harrowing and difficult birth, and after the neonatal trauma team had checked her out, a nurse called me over to see my new born child. I blearily looked down at my daughter Grace as she opened her eyes for the first time.

  It was as if I were watching the Universe's Computer boot up for the first time. It was in that moment that I realized my conceptions of life on Earth were all upside down.
