The right size Ceiling fan can make or break a room

Ceiling fans provide year-round, energy efficient climate control. They can also fit in with your design if you update, choose the right size and pay attention to style.

Recently I found the following guide to choosing the size ceiling fan you need for your room.

What size ceiling fan do you need?

For maximum comfort and air efficiency the size of the fan should be determined based on the size of the room. Use the chart above to determine the fan size you need.

Choose your Ceiling Fan's Style

Style is just as important as size when selecting a ceiling fan. There are so many new styles available today you can really make your ceiling fan selection work for you. In a modern home Chrome, black or bronze seem to look really sharp with sleek furniture. In a traditional home, warm wood tone, grey and even while go extremely well. Also some of today's fan come with updated lighting features for that additional light source. One way to choose ceiling fan style is to check your other light sources and style of lights in your room. If you have round shades through out the room,, consider selecting a ceiling fan with a round light source. If you have bell shape lamps, look for a fan with a similar shape lighting apparatus. You can also choose not to have lighting at all.

If you're buying for a bathroom, kitchen or covered porch, choose fans rated for damp or wet environments.

Having a beautiful holiday table is easy when you know the right design cues to follow. For a beautiful holiday table here are three easy steps you can follow:

Select a color scheme. Most people freak out when it comes to picking a color scheme, but this holiday season make it easy. All you have to do is look around. Use art, your rug, drapes, or you china. From any of these items pick one neutral color and one other color. For example if your rug has green, tan, blue, and black in it.. Pick the tan and one other color as your pallet for this years table
Once you have your neutral and your "pop" color, make sure you purchase your accessories or table decor in those colors. You goal is to repeat both your neutral color and your top color three times in the room so you are creating rhythm and harmony in your design
Now you want to add some interest so pick one additional color that go with either your neutral or your pop color and include that color in the finishing touch of the room.

When you are done you will have a beautifully coordinated room.
