Be Careful, Crackers are everywhere!!

Nowadays social networking sites grow like flowers in the spring. There are about 30 kinds of them which are popular among netters. For example, Facebook, My Space, Linkedln, Tumbir, Bebo, Blogger, Plaxo, Friendster, hi5, Plurk, Jaiku, Twitter, Flickr, Youtube, and Imeem. Each of them has different services and of course advantages and disadvantages.

The advantages of them, it goes without saying, make people know each other. In other words, it becomes easier for them to make friends though their friends come from another part of the world (^_^).

On the other hand, the grow of them also raise a new risk. As we know, sometimes persons don’t know exactly with whom they talk to in the internet and of course the real purpose of their “new friends” whether it is only to make friends or for bad purposes.

For several reasons, we have to be careful when we chat with “stranger” in the internet. At least recently there are two cases occurred from it. The first case is happened in USA. A guy from Ohio, USA, was caught due to breaking a computer. It was owned by a girl that is also his close neighbour. The man did that just to see her activities. He whose name was Kevin Sizemore also stole her underwear (~__~). Perhaps, he was falling in love with her.

It was reported that Kevin probably could stay in jail for 16 years. He who was 42 years old at the time entered her house without being noticed. Then, he installed a Trojan in her computer to access her private information and also to know what had been done in the computer through internet connection.

The second case is from Cyprus. A man who is 47 years old was punished by staying in jail for 4 years as he spied on a girl through webcam. At first, the girl incidentally installed a Trojan which had been sent by him via email attachment. Then, he could peep on her activities using webcam that was controlled from remote computer. Fortunately, she informed her parents because the man disturbed her via hand phone. From this point, the man could be traced and finally he was caught.

Well, I think from the fact above we can conclude besides has advantages, internet can turn into bad things if we don’t careful when using it. To prevent it from happening, there are some ways which can be done, such as:

1. Use an up to dated antivirus.
2. Put off the webcam while it is not being used.
3. Be careful when open an email. Check it first using antivirus. If there is email attachment which has .exe or .bat extension, don’t open it since it may be a Trojan. I suggest you to delete it right away.
4. Always be careful when you chat to someone in the internet. Log out if you think that the person is suspicious as he will do something bad to you.

Dewasa ini, situs-situs jejaring sosial tumbuh bak jamur di musim hujan. Kira-kira ada 30 jenis yang populer di kalangan netter. Misalnya, Facebook, My Space, Linkedln, Tumbir, Bebo, Blogger, Plaxo, Friendster, hi5, Plurk, Jaiku, Twitter, Flickr, Youtube, dan Imeem. Setiap jejaring sosial punya layanan yang berbeda-beda dan tentu saja keuntungan dan kerugian masing-masing.

Keuntungan dari situs tersebut tentu saja membuat orang saling mengenal satu sama lain. Dengan kata lain akan menjadi lebih mudah untuk mencari teman walaupun temannya berasal dari belahan bumi yang lain (^_^).

Di sisi lain, pertumbuhan dari hal tersebut memicu resiko baru. Seperti yang kita tahu, kadang-kadang orang-orang tidak tahu persis dengan siapa dia ber”chatting” di internet dan tujuan sesungguhnya dari “teman barunya” apakah hanya untuk mencari teman atau tujuan-tujuan jahat.

Untuk beberapa alasan, kita harus berhati-hati ketika chatting dengan orang yang masih asing di internet. Akhir-akhir ini ada duia kasus yang mencuat dari kegiatan tersebut. Kasus yang pertama terjadi di AS. Seorang pria dari Ohio, AS, ditangkap gara-gara membobol komputer. Komputer itu dipunyai oleh seorang gadis yang juga masih tetangga dekatnya. Dia melakukannya hanya untuk melihat aktivitasnya. Pria itu yang bernama lengkap Kevin Sizemore juga mencuri pakaian dalamnya (~__~). Mungkin dia jatuh cinta pada gadis yang masih kuliah tersebut.

Diberitakan bahwa si Kevin mungkin saja dipenjara selama 16 tahun. Dia yang berumur 42 tahun pada waktu itu, memasuki rumah gadis itu tanpa diketahui. Kemudian, dia menginstal trojan di komputernya untuk mengakses informasi pribadi gadis tersebut dan juga untuk mengetahui segala sesuatu yang telah dilakukannya di komputer melalui koneksi internet.

Kasus kedua dating dari Siprus. Seorang pria berumur 47 tahun dihukum penjara di penjara selama 4 tahun karena dia mengintim seorang gadis lewat webcam. Hal itu bisa terjadi karena gadis itu secara tidak sengaja menginstal trojan di komputernya yang telah dikirim oleh pria itu via email attachment. Lalu, pria tersebut bisa mengintip aktivitasnya lewat webcam yang dikontrol dari komputernya. Untungnya, sang gadis memberitahu orangtuanya karena pria itu menggangunya lewat hand phone. Dari sini, dia bisa dilacak dan akhirnya ditangkap oleh pihak yang berwajib.

Dari fakta diatas, kita bisa mengambil kesimpulan bahwa disamping memiliki keuntungan, internet bisa berubah menjadi hal yang buruk jika kita tidak berhati-hati dalam menggunakannya. Untuk mencegah hal diatas terjadi pada kamu, ada beberapa hal yang bisa dilakukan, diantaranya:

1. Gunakan antivirus yang uptodate
2. Copot webcam ketika tidak digunakan.
3. Hati-hati ketika membuka email. Scan dulu lewat antivirus. Jika ada email attachment yang berekstensi .exe atau .bat jangan dibuka kali aja Trojan. Disarankan untuk memusnahkannya.
4. Selalu berhati-hati saat “chatting” dengan seseorang. Logout kalau orang tersebut kelihatan mencurigakan.

USB 2.0 Will Retire Right Away

After waiting for a long time, finally USB 3.0 comes along. Different with USB 2.0 which has dominated the market, this newest USB will appear with “speed” that reaches until 4,8 GBps. You can imagine yourself how fast it is ^_^. This means that the process of transferring data will be done much faster than before.

The better efficiency of this port is also shown by his ability while it is being used in myriad of equipments. For instance, in the process of transferring video HD (High Definition) usually spends 10 minutes, whereas using this port only spends 1 minute.

In fact, the concept of USB (Universal Serial Bus) was released for the first time in 1996 to substitute the function of diskette which has huge size but tiny capacity ;P. The first developed USB was USB 1.1 that has transfer rate until 1 MBps. Usually, computers which have the first Pentium processor until Pentium 2 is fully equipped with this kind of port. After that, USB 2.0 appeared which has better performance on transferring data. This port than replaced the last port only in a short time. The port usually is used in the Pentium3 computers until the Core 2 Duo computers.

Same with the name, this universal port is made to recognize no end of equipments. With USB, we can transfer data or connect to various platforms, such as keyboard, mouse, PDA, printer, digital camera, and MP3/4/5 which can be synchronized with PC. The use of it is also very easy too as it doesn’t need special driver that is needed to be installed (for Windows XP and above).

The main ability of this port is its speed that reaches 10x faster than USB 2.0. In addition, it is also 6x faster than FireWire 200. Furthermore, we don’t have to mind about the connector inasmuch as the connectors and cables in USB 2.0 still can be used in USB 3.0

USB 2.0 Bakalan Segera Pensiun

Setelah menunggu cukup lama akhirnya USB 3.0 benar-benar muncul. Berbeda dengan USB 2.0 yang sudah lama menguasai, USB versi terbaru ini bakalan muncul dengan “kecepatan” mencapai 4,8 GBps. Bisa kamu bayangin sendiri deh kecepatannya seberapa ^_^. Hal ini berarti proses transfer data atau gambar bisa dilakukan jauh lebih cepat dari sebelumnya.

Efisiensi yang jauh lebih baik dari port ini juga ditunjukkan lewat kemampuannya saat digunakan di berbagai alat. Misalnya, pada proses transfer video HD (High Definition) yang biasanya makan waktu 10 menit, lewat port ini cuma butuh waktu 1 menit.

Sebenarnya, konsep USB (Universal Serial Bus) pertama kali dikenalkan pada tahun 1996 sebagai pengganti fungsi disket yang punya ukuran gede namun kapasitas mini :P. Proses penggunaannya juga gampang banget, nggak perlu driver khusus beribet yang harus diinstal (untuk Windows XP keatas).

Kehebatan utama port ini adalah kecepatannya yang mencapai 10x lipat dari USB 2.0. Selain itu juga 6x lebih cepat dari FireWire 200. Untuk urusan konektor, kita nggak usah khawatir sebab konektor & kabel di USB 2.0 masih bisa digunakan di USB 3.0.

Search Engine Using Sounds

One of the newest applications has already been released by the greatest search engine in the world, Google. Recently, Google has announced a new feature which was search engine using sounds. Even tough it doesn’t use written text anymore to look for the data, for the time being, it only supports iPhone users.

Like in PC, IPhone users only have to mention words or phrases that will be looked for. For example, the user says a hotel name ^_^, and then Google iPhone will automatically show the information about the data which is being search. In addition, Google can also show the address of the data.

Moreover, this application which is named Google Search by Voice just need short time to present the result. Furthermore, this newest Google application also can be used to look for a quite few names from the contact number of the iPhone, so the keypad or stylus which is often already provided in iPhone wont be used at all.

I personally believe that it is a great application which will help users much. However, I wonder when the software will support ordinary hand phones, for instance, that have operating system (OS) or that using Java. Well, we just have to wait for the next Google innovation.

Search Engine Pakai Suara

Salah satu aplikasi baru kembali dikenalkan mesin pencari nomor wahid, Google. Baru-baru ini Google sudah mengeluarkan fitur baru berupa pencarian data menggunakan suara. Walaupun sudah tidak mengandalkan tulisan lagi untuk mencari data yang dirujuk tadi, namun untuk saat ini fasilitas suara ini hanya berguna bagi pengguna iPhone.

Seperti di PC, pengguna iPhone tinggal menyebutkan kata atau kalimat yang menjadi bahan pencarian. Misalnya saja menyebut suatu nama hotel ^_^, maka secara otomatis Google iPhone bakal menampilkan informasi yang bersangkutan dengan data yang dicari. Google juga bisa menampilkan alamat yang dicari tersebut.

Lebih hebatnya lagi, aplikasi yang bernama Google Search by Voice ini cuma butuh waktu hitungan detik untuk mengeluarkan hasil yang dicari. Keunggulan lainnya, aplikasi gres Google ini juga bisa digunakan untuk mencari nama dari kontak ponsel pengguna tersebut. Jadi dia nggak perlu pakai keyboard atau stylus yang tersedia di iPhone.

Yang masih jadi bahan pertanyaan kapan aplikasi ini bisa di berbagai platform terutama handphone yang bersistem operasi maupun yang support Java. Jadi, kita tunggu saja inovasi selanjutnya dari google ^_^.

Hack the Game

As we know, there are many ways to learn hacking. One of them is by playing certain games. To tell the truth, there are only several games which aim to develop our skills in hacking and one of them is Hack the Game. Hack the Game is a hacking simulation game. In it you can take on the role of a hacker that takes on various assignments. During these assignments you will be able to use a toolbox filled with (hacking) tools.

Actually, there are eleven missions on this game. The mission will begin after you receive assignment by email. Read them carefully, they may contain the IP address of the machine you must hack. I’m not going to explain how you should go about the rest because that would take the fun out of the game ^_^. But it’s all quit self-explaining. Just remember several things:
1. After you successfully connect to the target host using Telnet, the target system will start to back trace you. Don’t let them completely trace you because this will lead you to your arrest. You can view the trace process in the left lower corner during Telnet sessions.
2. Always delete your log file before you disconnect from a telnet session. The log files are not always on the same place because of the differences on every system. Find your log file (192.168.010.001) and DESTROY it.
3. If you get busted 3 times the game is over. The judge doest like a persistent hacker.

On this game, you can develop your hacking skill by using several console commands and toolbox which is included in it. For instance, ping, portscan, telnet, password, virus, cd and dir. With these items, you can be familiar with several ways to hack a system. It’s probably not even close to the real things but, to be honest, its worth to try. Hack the Game

Seperti yang kita tau, ada banyak cara belajar hacking. Salah satu dari mereka adalah dengan memainkan game. Sebenarnya cuma ada sedikit game yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan kita dalam hacking misalnya Hack the Game. Hack the Game adalah sebuah game simulasi hacking. Di dalamnya kamu bisa melihat peran seorang hacker yang mengambil berbagai tugas. Selama melaksanakan tugas-tugas ini kamu dapat menggunakan sebuah toolbox yang diisi dengan berbagai peralatan (hacking).

Secara keseluruhan ada sebelas misi dalam game ini. Misi akan dimulai setelah kamu menerima tugas lewat email. Baca dengan seksama, mungkin aja berisi IP address dari sistem yang harus di-hack. Aku nggak akan menjelasin secara detail bagaimana kamu seharusnya memainkan game ini karena ini bakalan menghilangkan sisi fun dari game ^_^. Tetapi, semuanya cukup mudah dipahami sendiri kok. Ingat aja poin-poin ini :
1. Setelah kamu berhasil menyambung pada host target pakai Telnet, dia akan mulai membacktrace lokasi kamu. Jangan biarkan mereka melakukannya atau kamu akan berakhir di penjara ;P. Kamu bisa melihat proses trace tersebut di bagian kiri bawah pada saat proses Telnet berlangsung.
2. Selalu hapus file yang dibuat pada saat kamu log ke sistem tersebut (logfile). Lokasinya sih tidak selalu sama karena ada perbedaan dalam setiap sistem. Temukan logfilemu (192.168.010.001) dan HANCURKAN.
3. Jika kamu tertangkap sampai tiga kali, permainan bakal berakhir ~_~. Hakim nggak bakalan suka terhadap seorang hacker yang yang gigih, he… he… he….

Dalam game ini kamu dapat meningkatkan kemampuanmu soal hacking dengan menggunakan/mengaplikasikan perintah konsol dan toolbox yang biasanya digunakan dalam hacking dan sudah disediakan didalam game. Misalnya, ping, portscan, telnet, password, virus, cd and dir. Dengan hal-hal diatas, diharapkan kamu dapat familiar dengan beberapa jalan untuk memasuki suatu system. Mungkin game ini tidak terlalu sama dengan kenyataan yang ada dalam proses hacking suatu sistem tetapi sejujurnya, game ini layak untuk dicoba kok. PKM Phenomena in My University

Have you ever known about PKM? I guess some of you are still wondering about it. Ok, I will explain it briefly. PKM is abbreviation of Program Kreatifitas Mahasiswa or Student Creativity Program (SCP). It is a kind of program which is hold by Dikti for Indonesian collage student to train their creativity. In this program, every student is given a chance to submit a proposal which is like a research proposal that will be donated by Dikti. The fund usually can reach 6 billion rupiahs (approximately 650 dollars) for one research. Every group of the student which is propose it consists of 5 persons included the chief. SCP itself consists of 5 kinds which is PKMP (PKM Penelitian) [Research SCP], PKMK (PKM Kewirausahaan) [Entrepreneurship SCP], PKMT (PKM Teknologi) [Technology SCP], PKMM (PKM Pengabdian Masyarakat) [Public Service SCP] and PKMI (PKM Kajian Pustaka) [Literature Study SCP].

In my campus, SCP is famous. Well, it’s strange enough, I guess. Generally, not every of those students are a type of a true activist. We can even say that most of them are students who only go to campus to attend a class and then after their class has finished, they will go to their boarding house to continue the rest of their activity (or even to go sleeping). So it’s strange if the time to submit the proposal has come, they will leave their nest in a great numbers to make a SCP Proposal. Last year (2007) in Semarang State University, it is recorded more than 500 proposals which have been submitted and there were about 250 proposals which were accepted. Moreover, there were only 8 proposals which were qualified to be presented in PIMNAS (Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional) [National Scientific Student Week]. You can imagine that there were only about 4 percents proposals which are qualified from 250 proposals. So where were the others? Why they were not qualified? I am still wondering about what was happened.

After asking to everyone, finally I realize the cause of those problems. Actually, almost all of the proposals which were accepted can’t account for the money. Their justification was very dubious. As we know, every proposal which is accepted will get money from Dikti which is 650 dollars. So this is the money which was digressed. According to one of my friends’ opinion whose proposals were accepted, the money from Dikti was used to do something which was not important for instance to treat some friends or even to buy a laptop!! Besides, he submitted 12 proposals and there were 6 proposals which were accepted. You can imagine yourself how much money has been given to him which is approximately 3900 dollars (6 x 650 dollars=3900 dollars). Wow! It was a fantastic number for an ordinary collage student. So, it is very realistic that there are a lot of student who try their best to submit several proposals to digress the money which they will get.

From the fact above, we can conclude that there are a lot of collage students which is motivated to be a “corruptor” rather than to be an honest scientist. Well, this is back to their own motivation while submitting the proposal whether they want to get money or to train their creativity and skills. Certainly, everyone who does something will get their own consequence for what they have done.

Fenomena PKM di Universitasku

Taukah kamu dengan apa yang dimaksud dengan PKM? Mungkin sebagian dari kamu masih bertanya-tanya apa sih PKM itu. Ok, aku jelasin. PKM adalah singkatan dari Program Kreatifitas Mahasiswa. Ini adalah program yang diselenggarakan Dikti bagi mahasiswa Indonesia untuk menuangkan kreatifitasnya. Dalam program ini, setiap mahasiswa diberi kebebasan untuk mengajukan proposal semacam penelitian yang nantinya akan didanai oleh Dikti. Biasanya dana bisa sampai 6 juta rupiah untuk sekali penelitian. Setiap kelompok pengaju proposal maksimal terdiri dari lima orang termasuk kepala kelompok. PKM sendiri terdiri atas lima jenis yaitu PKMP (PKM Penelitian), PKMK (PKM Kewirausahaan), PKMT (PKM Teknologi), PKMM (PKM Pengabdian Masyarakat), PKMI (PKM Kajian Pustaka).

Di kampusku PKM sangat membooming, nggak tau kenapa. Padahal nggak semua mahasiswa tersebut merupakan tipe-tipe aktivis sejati. Malah boleh dikatakan sebagian besar dari mereka merupakan mahasiswa yang cuma ke kampus untuk kuliah kemudian pulang ke kos untuk melanjutkan perjuangan (tidur kalee). Nah ini dia yang aku heranin kenapa setiap ada musim pengajuan proposal PKM, meraka berbondong-bondong meninggalkan sarangnya untuk membuat proposal PKM. Tahun lalu (2007) saja tercatat di UNNES terdapat 500-an lebih proposal yang diajukan namun cuma 250-an yang diterima. Apalagi yang lolos PIMNAS, wah lebih sedikit lagi, cuma 8 proposal yang berhasil masuk PIMNAS. Bayangkan dari 250-an proposal yang diterima cuma 8 yang masuk PIMNAS, nggak sampai 5 persennya. Lalu kemanakah sisa proposal yng diterima tersebut, kenapa prosentase yang diterima begitu kecil. Aku jadi bertanya-tanya apanya yang salah ya?

Setelah tanya sana-sini sama orang-orang yang biasa lolos proposalnya, akhirnya aku mengerti penyebab mengapa begitu kecil prosentase proposal yang lolos PIMNAS. Ternyata dari semua proposal yang diterima, sebagian besar dari mereka pertanggungjawabannya meragukan khususnya masalah dana. Seperti yang diketahui bahwa setiap proposal yang disetujui akan mendapat dana dari Dikti yang besarnya sampai 6 juta rupiah. Nah dana inilah yang banyak diselewengkan untuk kepentingan pribadi. Menurut salah satu temanku yang tahun lalu proposalnya diterima, uang dari Dikti banyak digunakan untuk foya-foya, mentraktir teman atau bahkan beli laptop!! Padahal dia kemarin mengirimkan 12 proposal dan yang diterima 6 buah. Bisa dibayangkan berapa banyak dana yang dikucurkan buatnya yaitu 6 kali 6 juta sama dengan 36 juta. Wow! Sebuah angka yang cukup fantastis untuk seukuran mahasiswa. Jadi sangat realistis jika banyak mahasiswa yang berlomba lomba membuat proposal untuk menyelewengkan dana yang kelak dikucurkan kepadanya.

Berangkat dari pemikiran diatas, ngeri juga ya ternyata begitu banyak mahasiswa yang termotivasi untuk menjadi seorang “koruptor” daripada menjadi seorang ilmuwan yang jujur. Hal ini kembali kepada niat masing-masing individu untuk apa mengajukan PKM apakah hanya untuk foya-foya saja atau untuk memajukan kreatifitas sendiri. Pastinya, setiap orang yang berbuat akan menerima sendiri akibat yang diperbuatnya.

Browser is software which is used to browse or surf in the internet. It is also essential software for netter. A browser can open various files in the internet for instance, html, php, aspx ataupun flv (streaming video). Software which you are using now to open this page is also called browser ^_^. Several years ago, the most popular browser in the world was Netscape. Almost all of the net users used it. However, years changed and there was a new competitor, which is better than the previous browser, which is called Internet Explorer. It was made by Microsoft and had been integrated with the Windows Operating System (OS) package. This software also ever dominated the browser usage in the world. The newest and the best at the moment in the class of browser is Mozilla Firefox. The advantage of Firefox itself is for its opensource. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a great browser. Besides that, Firefox can open a lot of format/page extension for example flv (streaming video) in YouTube. It is also equipped with a lot of plugins that support or add the browser features. It is downloadable too. The newest version of Firefox has reached 3.0.1, if I don’t make mistake. Even tough it has many advantages, the position of Firefrox now is threatened with the new arrival of the competitors in browser class like Opera and the newest browser, that we will discuss for this time that is Chrome.

Opera has been recognized among netters because of its speed while opening web pages. For several cases, Opera is faster than Firefox. Besides that, it is open source too. The newest version of Opeara has reached version 9. Opera is also famous as a great browser in hand phone. I is named Opera Mini. It has great compatibility while opening websites, if we compare it with the other standard browsers in hand phone. Almost all of standard extensions can be opened. It isn’t like the other browser that only can open web that has xhtml extension. On the other hand, Opera Mini can open a full page, it also supports zoom too, pretty cool huh? The only disadvantages of Opera Mini is that it can’t support java script. However, the developer is trying to solve this problem in the future version.

I wonder if our best browser will go down as soon as the new competitor arrives that is Chrome which is developed by Google. I think Google now is better than other huge corporation after it dominate Search Engine, E-mail, Blog with Blogger, Map with Google Earth and also ads with Google Adsense. Now, they begin to reach the browser class that is full with great competitors. Chrome, from its developer is claimed as a future browser that is predicted to replace the domination of Mozilla Firefox or Opera. Chrome has minimalist design, fast to install, reliable and customizable. Besides that, the Google search engine has been integrated in the address bar. This means when we type any word in the address bar, Chrome will directly search it in the database of Google, it’s very cool isn’t it? The other advantage is on its privation control. Chrome won’t save any data that have relation with privation for instance cookies and incognito. This means if we forget to log out on a website, the other can’t see our accounts and passwords. Of course, it will reduce the probability of hacking, he.., he...This feature can be used in many internet café that is used by many people. Chrome is also reported that it has an amazing speed while opening web pages if we compare it with Mozilla Firefox. This is happened because Chrome uses new rendering web engine which is developed by Google. Nevertheless, it also has several disadvantages, for example, there is no support in plugins because Chrome is still new so no one has made the plugins. On the other side, the compatibility with several blogs is still questionable.

Finally, people are still wondering whether Chrome will replace the domination of its elders or not. It is like Netscape which is replaced by Internet Explorer and also Internet Exporer which is go down after the arrival of Mozilla Firefox. It is also a big mystery because not every new product can dominate market. How to make an internet access faster

Have you ever found an internet café that had a slow connection, you have tried to surf using it but its still slow and for downloading files was slow too. Maybe you’ll think that it would take several hours just to download a file. You wondered, what should you have done? Continuing would cost a lot of money but if you stopped, it had cost your time. Actually, every internet café has set its computer with certain bitrates / bandwidth that makes the internet connection become slow. However, there are several things that you can do to resolve that problem.

There are four ways to fasten an internet connection:
1. Choose the best internet browser. I mean choose the faster browser that open html files for example Mozilla Firefox and Opera. However, I don’t recommend you to use internet explorer because it’s too slow. I would rather Mozilla Firefox than Opera because of its excellence. The newest version of it is Mozilla Firefox 3.0.1 and you can download it at http://www.mozilla.com/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.0.1&os=win&lang=en-US
2. Set the browser to work faster. This is what I mean as solving the internet café setting that limit the user bandwidth. Go to Mozilla Firefox then type “about:config” on the address bar. After that, change “network.http.pipelining” and “network.http.proxy pipelining” become “true” by right clicking>toggle, and also fill “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” with 100. For the last one, right click everywhere and choose New>Integer, type “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and fill it zero.
3. Setting your DNS. For this trick, first you have to register at www.opendns.com. Then go to Control Panel from the start menu, choose network connections then choose your connection and click properties. In the part of internet protocol you can choose TCP/IP and click properties. Insert 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 on DNS option. Finally, restart your computer.
4. Use web accelerator. The free one and working well is Google Web Accelerator. Google Web Accelerator is specially designed for you who use broadband connection like Cable and DSL. For you who use the other connections like Dial Up or Satellite/Wave, it can also fasten your connection. To use this software, your computer have to met the system requirements for instance Windows XP or Windows 2000 OS and your browser have to be Mozilla Firafox 1.0+. For the other browser actually also can be used but you have to configure the proxy settings from your browser by adding 127.0.0.1:9100 on HTTP. After the installation done, Google Web Accelerator will show you a tiny icon in the upper of your browser and an icon tray in the right corner monitor. You can download Google Web Accelerator in http://webaccelerator.google.com. You can also combine it with the others web accelerator like onspeed and nitroboost. The trial version can be downloaded in www.onspeed.com and www.nitroboost.com.

Cara Mempercepat Akses Internet

Pernah nggak kamu pas ngenet di warnet walaupun sepi user tapi buat browsing tetap pelan, download juga pelan banget. Perasaanmu mengatakan kalau ini bakal makan waktu berjam-jam cuma buat download satu file. Gimana dong, mau dilanjutin pasti keluar banyak duit tapi nggak dilanjutin sudah kepalang tanggung. Sebenarnya, setiap warnet sudah menyetting/membatasi komputernya dengan bitrate/bandwith tertentu. Nah ini dia yang bikin koneksi jadi lambat. Jangan putus asa dulu sebab aku bakalan bagi cara-cara supaya bisa mempercepat akses internet tersebut.

Pada dasarnya untuk mempercepat akses internet ada empat cara yaitu :
1. Pilih browser yang tepat. Maksudnya pilih browser yang tentu saja bisa membuka file html dengan cepat contohnya Mozilla Firefox dan Opera. Aku nggak nyaranin kamu untuk memakai Internet Explorer sebab dia cukup lambat dalam melakukan aksinya. Tapi aku sih lebih sering pakai Mozilla Firefox karena sudah terkenal kehandalannya. Versi terbaru Mozilla Firefox 3.0.1 bisa kamu download di http://www.mozilla.com/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.0.1&os=win&lang=en-US
2. Setting browser tersebut supaya bisa bekerja lebih cepat. Nah ini yang aku maksud dengan mengatasi settingan warnet yang membatasi bandwith komputer user. Masuk ke mozilla firefox lalu ketik “about:config” pada address bar, setelah itu ubah “network.http.pipelining” dan “network.http.proxy pipelining” menjadi “true” dengan mengklik kanan>toggle, serta isi “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” dengan angka 100. Yang terakhir klik kanan dimana saja dan pilih New>Integer , tuliskan “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” lalu isi dengan 0.
3. Setting DNS. Untuk trik ini, pertama kamu harus mendaftar di www.opendns.com. Setelah itu masuk ke Control Panel dari start menu, pilih network connections lalu pilih koneksi kamu dan klik tombol properties. Pada bagian Internet protokol kamu bisa pilih TCP/IP dan klik properties. Masukkan angka 208.67.222.222 dan 208.67.220.220 pada opsi DNS dan restart komputer kamu.
4. Gunakan web accelerator. Yang gratisan dan cukup bagus sih Google Web Accelerator. Google Web Accelerator memang didesain khusus untuk mempercepat akses internet kamu, khususnya bagi kamu yang menggunakan koneksi broadband (pita lebar) seperti Cable dan DSL. Untuk kamu yang menggunakan koneksi lain seperti Dial-up (Telkomnet Instant atau Speedy) maupun satelit atau wave, Google Web Accelerator juga dapat mempercepat aksesnya. Untuk memakai Google Web Accelerator, kamu harus memenuhi kriteria antara lain Operating System kamu harus Windows XP atau Windows 2000 dan browsermu harus Mozilla Firefox 1.0+. Kalau untuk browser lainnya sebenarnya juga bisa, tetapi kamu harus meng-konfigurasi proxy settings dari browser kamu dengan menambah 127.0.0.1:9100 pada HTTP. Setelah kamu melakukan instalasi, Google Web Accelerator akan menampilkan icon kecil di atas browser kamu dan icon tray di pojok bawah layar komputer. Kamu dapat mengunduh Google Web Accelerator di http://webaccelerator.google.com. Kamu juga bisa mengkombinasikan Google Web Accelerator dengan web accelerator lain contohnya onspeed dan nitroboost. Versi trialnya bisa kamu unduh di www.onspeed.com dan www.nitroboost.com.

Calm down, I have an alternative answer for you who don’t have enough money to buy a console game or playing games in the game center. The requirements are easy. You have to have a computer even though it’s the old one. The minimum is Pentium II with 64 MB RAM and a VGA that supports Direct Draw and Direct 3D.

Have you ever heard about emulator? Emulator come from the word emulate that means make something almost same. Therefore, emulator functions to emulate the works of hardware in the different platform for instance there is WinE in Linux that functions to run window’s programs in Linux. Actually there are several software too that can run console game in our computer.

1. Playing NeoGeo games in computer
I bet all of you have known about NeoGeo. It is an old console is familiar to many gamers. How to play NeoGeo games in computer is really easy. For this one, you don’t need a high end hardware. The software is really easy to get too. The best for this class is VisualBoyAdvanced. The advantages of this software are a lot. Its very complete therefore you can configure it for your own will. Beside of that, this kind of software is free too. Unfortunately, for you who don’t have high end PC, just prepare to move to the other software. For instance, my old computer that has Pentium II processor only can run the game in 50% speed. If you wish to choose the other software, then try this one, No$GBA. With a simple configuration, you can get a good performance on your PC. The low grade PC is not a big matter for it. The latest version of it is not free though~_~. The GBA ROM is rather difficult to be looked for except for the free version. Pilihan lainnya adalah No$GBA.Dengan konfigurasi yang sederhana kamu bisa mendapatkan performa yang menakjubkan. Hardware yang masih tergolong jadul pun tidak masalah. 3. Use premium access
Well, it is not really using premium account, but we can get access like the premium one. The trick is by using software that is called rapidleech. This kind of software will download our files into their server and we just have to download the files from their server. There are a lot of servers that provide this service and one of them is here. You can also use goole to look for that kind of servers by typing “repidleech server” on the grandpa Google.

Kemudian akan muncul counter time, tenang saja akan segera kita bunuh, he..,he..he.. Bersihkan addres bar serta ketikkan javascript:alert(c=0) ditempat yang sama lalu enter. Pasti counter time akan lenyap.

2. Mengatasi limit download
Simple aja sih, gunakan saja sekumpulan proxy yang ada di internet. Googling pakai mbah Google lalu cari alamat proxy tersebut.

3. Benar-benar menggunakan akses premium.
Sebenarnya nggak juga sih, tapi kita akan mendapatkan akses yang setara dengan account premium. Caranya dengan memakai software yang namanya rapidleech. Software ini akan mendownloadkan file kita lalu kita tinggal download file itu di server mereka. Ada banyak server yang menyediakan fasilitas ini. Salah satunya adalah di disini. Kamu juga bisa googling dan cari server tersebut dengan mengetikkan “repidleech server” pada mbah Google.

Dengan trik diatas kamu pasti sudah bisa dapat beragam jenis file yang kamu butuhkan. Yang paling penting adalah koneksi internet kamu harus cepat, kalo nggak wah bisa nunggu sampai tahunan, he.. he..^_^

First, I want to apologize because the post for this time is only for newbie. For the expert, you can go to the other post, I don’t take any responsibility if in the future you will feel boring. Our theme for this time is an ordinary event that is often happened in internet cafe. A carelessness that can be exploited by a person who does it only for fun or a newbie hacker like us ^_^. The requirements are:
1. A computer that has Yahoo Messenger inside.
2. The victim give a tick on the option “Remember My ID & Password” or
3. The victim forgets to sign out.

As all of us have known, using internet in public area or internet café has advantages and disadvantage. Usually it is cheaper; our privacy is secure (if they have partition room). However, there are disadvantages too for example, when we don’t have much money, using internet is often done in haste and we often look at billing software again and again, in case we don’t have enough money to pay the bill. People often forget to sign out or log out from email account or Yahoo Messenger due to time. Well, now our targets are careless people who forget to sign out or there is a tick on “Remember my ID & Password” option.

I admit that I often find that kind of things occurred in almost every internet café. A small mistake that can have fatal consequences. If you find out that condition, just sign in with the ID and Password that has been filled. OK, now perhaps you will feel that you are smart person because you have succeed to enter the others account, however don’t be satisfied so early, because we still can do a lot of things.

Next, click tab Over View in Yahoo Messenger then click twice on the sub menu Yahoo Mail. After that, there will be a message box which will ask you whether you want to login automatically or not to Yahoo Mail. Click Yes & Yes on the second message box.

Now the victim’s Yahoo Mail is opened in front of you beautifully. The next step is quite easy. All that is left is for you to look for the victim’s password. Just search interesting information in the victim’s inbox. Type “password” or “account” on the search mail. Usually user is lazy to use different password on each account that he/she has, so assume that all of the passwords only consist of one password. I bet now you have already fully controlled of the user’s email.

Ups, what?? You didn’t find any email which contains password and username?? Well, the last way is by exploring user’s email whether he/she joined in a group, forum or certain site. For instance, now Friendster is very popular among netters, so try to explore the site, then insert user’s email , and click on the Forget Password option. Just be patient, the password and username will be sent to the user’s mail in several minutes. You can drink a cup of coffee or play a game for a while, ha…ha…ha… ^_^. As I explained before, user usually is lazy to change his/her passwords. Now you should have controlled the user’s email.

Those tricks can be used if the victim forgot to do sign out. It’s very simple, isn’t it? Imagine if the email contains Paypal, E-Gold or another account which about finance. The matter will be much deeper (maybe carding). Alternatively, the owner of the account is perhaps a webmaster a site even an e-commerce site, the site can be defaced and the owner will suffer a financial loss which can’t be avoided.

The preventive method is quite easy. Make sure you close the entire site that has been signed in. Its very easy, isn’t it? Remember that hacking doesn’t only come from the hacker will but also come because there is a chance. So, be very careful with your account.

Cara mengambil password orang lain dari Yahoo Messenger

Sebelumnya sorry kalau kali ini yang akan dibahas khusus untuk newbie, so bagi yang sudah expert silahkan beralih ke postingan yang lain, saya nggak bertanggung jawab kalau nanti kamu kebosanan ;P. Tema kita kali ini adalah hal yang sering kali terjadi di warnet umum. Sebuah kecerobohan yang bisa dimanfaatkan oleh orang-orang iseng atau newbie hacker kayaq kita ^_^. Syarat-syarat yang dibutuhkan yaitu:
1. Komputer warnet yang ada Yahoo Messenger -nya
2. Korban memberi tanda centang pada opsi “Remember My ID & Password” atau
3. Korban lupa tidak melakukan Sign Out

Seperti yang kita tahu, ngenet di warnet umum ada enak dan ada nggak enaknya. Enaknya sih biasanya lebih hemat, privasi terjaga (kalo yang pake sekat). Tapi kalo nggak enaknya pas ueng cekak alias kantong tipis, ngenet jadi serasa keburu waktu karena selalu bolak-balik ngeliat billing, kali aja uang yang kita punya nggak cukup. Akibatnya seringkali ada saja orang yang lupa untuk sign out atau log out dari account email atau Yahoo Messanger gara-gara terburu waktu. Nah kali ini sasaran kita adalah orang-orang yang ceroboh seperti itu yang lupa melakukan sign out atau ada tanda centang pada opsi Remember my ID & Password.

Jujur saja, saya sendiri sering menemukan hal-hal diatas terjadi di berbagai Internet Café. Sebuah kecerobohan yang bisa berakibat sangat fatal. Kalau kamu menjumpai hal diatas, Sign In saja dengan ID dan Password yang telah terisi itu. Nah, setelah berhasil mungkin kamu sudah merasa hebat karena sudah berhasil memasuki account orang lain, tapi jangan puas dulu masih banyak yang dapat kita lakukan. Next, klik tab Over View yang dimiliki YM lalu klik 2x pada sub menu Yahoo Mail. Kemudian akan muncul kotak dialog yang menanyakan apakah kamu ingin login otomatis Yahoo Mail. Klik Yes & Yes pada kotak konfirmasi kedua.

Nah kini Yahoo Mail Korban juga terbuka di hadapan kamu dengan indahnya. Langkah selanjutnya tinggal mencari password korban. Cari saja info-info menarik di inbox sang korban. Ketikkan kata ”password” atau ”account” pada search mail. Biasanya user malas menggunakan password yang berbeda-beda pada setiap account tertentu, jadi asumsikan saja semua password itu hanya terdiri dari satu password. Kini kamu sudah bisa menguasai email korban sepenuhnya.

Ups apa?? kamu tidak menemukan email berisi pasword dan user name?? Tenang dulu, jelajahi email korban apakah dia tergabung pada group, forum atau situs tertentu. Misalnya sekarang kan lagi populer-populernya Friendster, jadi coba saja jelajahi situs tersebut lalu masukkan email korban serta klik opsi Forget Password. Kini kamu tinggal menunggu email konfirmasi dari Friendster yang berisi account beserta password. Ditinggal ngopi atau main game dulu juga boleh he…he…he… ^_^. Seperti yang telah saya kemukakan diatas kalau user biasanya malas untuk mengganti passwordnya. Sekarang seharusnya kamu benar-benar sudah sepenuhnya menguasai email sang korban.

Hal diatas dapat kamu terapkan jika korban lupa melakukan sign out. Its very simple, isn’t it?. Bayangkan saja kalau dalam email tersebut ada account Paypal, E-gold atau account yang berhubungan dengan keuangan lainnya. Urusannya bisa panjang nih (carding kali). Atau si pemilik account adalah webmaster suatu situs atau bahkan situs e-commerce. Bisa-bisa dideface dan kerugian besar tak bisa dielakkan lagi.

Cara pencegahan dari cara-cara diatas sih mudah saja. Pastikan semua situs yang tadi sudah di sign in, sebelum keluar dari warnet di-logout dahulu. Mudah kan??. Selalu ingat perkataan Bang Napi di Sergap, ”Hacking bukan hanya ada niat dari pelakunya tetapi juga karena ada kesempatan. Waspadalah, waspadalah !!”. So, be very careful with your account.

Levels of hackers

Elite:
This level is also recognized as 3l33t, 3l337, 31337 or the combination of them. A level that is definitely wanted by hackers all over the world. They are the leader of the network security. They know operating system (OS) perfectly and they can configure and connect a network globally. They can do programming everyday. They are very efficient and skillful hacker. They can use their knowledge exactly as what they want. They are like a ninja who can infiltrate a system without being traced. Nevertheless, they don’t destroy data because they always obey hacker ethical code.

Semi Elite:
This kind of hackers usually is younger than Elite. As an elite, they also have ability and knowledge about computer. They know operating system (OS) include the hole/bug inside. They usually is fully equipped with few programs which is enough to change exploit programs. There is a lot of attack that is known to be their action but unfortunately, Elite often categorize them as a lamer ~_~.

Developed Kiddie:
This predicate is known because they are usually teens that still study at school. They read hacking method from various occasion (books, magazines, forum, etc). They try all sort of operating system (OS) until in the end they succeed and claim a victory to other hackers. Generally, they are still using Graphic User Interface (GUI) and learning the basic of UNIX, without any skill of finding new holes in operating system (OS).

Script Kiddie:
Like a developed kiddie, Script Kiddies usually does many activities that are explained above. Like a lamer, they only have little knowledge about technical networking and it is not far from GUI ;P. Hacking usually is done by using trojan to frighten and make some internet users have difficulties.

Lamer:
This is the lower level of a hacker (or maybe a cracker??). They want to be a hacker even though they don’t have any experience and knowledge about it. They usually read or hear about hacker in the internet. Their using of computers especially isn’t far from gaming ^_^, IRC, trading pirated software, and stealing credit card $_$.They usually use trojan, nuke & DoS while hacking. They always boast about themselves in IRC channels and forums. Due to several weaknesses, they can only reach developed kiddie or script kiddie level T~T.

Tingkatan-tingkatan para hacker

Elite:
Tingkatan ini juga dikenal sebagai 3l33t, 3l337, 31337 atau kombinasi dari itu. Sebuah tingkatan yang pastinya dinginkan oleh hacker di seluruh dunia. Mereka merupakan ujung tombak industri keamanan jaringan. Mereka mengerti sistem operasi luar dalam, sanggup mengkonfigurasi dan menyambungkan jaringan secara global. Sanggup melakukan pemrogramman setiap harinya. Dalam melakukan teknik hacking, mereka sangat efisien dan terampil. Mereka mampu menggunakan pengetahuannya dengan tepat. Mereka seperti ninja dapat memasuki sistem tanpa diketahui, dan keluar tanpa meninggalkan jejak sedikitpun untuk dilacak oleh orang lain (atau kayaq jaelangkung aja, datang tak dijemput, pulang tak diantar ^_^). Walaupun demikian mereka tidak akan menghancurkan data-data. Hal ini tidak lain karena mereka selalu mengikuti peraturan yangada.

Semi Elite:
Hacker ini biasanya lebih muda daripada Elite. Seperti Elite, mereka juga mempunyai kemampuan dan pengetahuan luas tentang komputer. Mereka mengerti tentang sistem operasi (termasuk lubangnya). Biasanya mereka dilengkapi dengan sejumlah kecil program cukup untuk mengubah program eksploit. Banyak serangan yang dipublikasi dilakukan oleh hacker kaliber ini, sialnya oleh para Elite mereka sering kali dikategorikan sebagai seorang Lamer ~_~.

Developed Kiddie:
Sebutan ini terutama karena umur kelompok ini masih muda (ABG) dan biasanya sih masih sekolah. Mereka membaca tentang metode dan cara hacking dari berbagai kesempatan (buku, majalah, forum, dan sebagainya). Mereka mencoba berbagai sistem sampai akhirnya berhasil dan memproklamirkan kemenangan ke hacker lainnya. Umumnya mereka masih menggunakan Grafik User Interface (GUI) dan baru belajar basic dari UNIX, tanpa mampu menemukan lubang kelemahan baru di sistem operasi.

Script Kiddie:
Seperti developed kiddie, Script Kiddie biasanya melakukan aktifitas di atas. Seperti juga Lamers, mereka hanya mempunyai pengetahuan teknis networking yang sangat minimal. Biasanya juga tidak lepas dari GUI ;P. Hacking dilakukan menggunakan trojan untuk menakuti & menyusahkan hidup sebagian pengguna Internet.

Lamer:
Ini adalah tingkatan terendah dari seorang hacker (or maybe cracker ??). Mereka adalah orang tanpa pengalaman & pengetahuan yang ingin menjadi hacker. Mereka biasanya membaca atau mendengar tentang hacker dan ingin seperti itu. Penggunaan komputer mereka terutama untuk main game ^_^, IRC, tukar menukar software pirate, mencuri kartu kredit $_$. Biasanya melakukan hacking menggunakan software trojan, nuke & DoS. Biasanya menyombongkan diri melalui IRC channel dan sebagainya. Karena banyak kekurangannya untuk mencapai elite, dalam perkembangannya mereka hanya akan sampai level developed kiddie atau script kiddie saja T~T.

Hacker Ethical Code

The main difference between hacker and cracker is on their own ethics. So, don’t claim to be a hacker if you don’t obey hacker ethical code. The others will regard you as a cracker. Below is the ethics if you want to be a true hacker:

1.Never destroy any system on purpose (formatting hard disk, crash, overflow, etc). Changing the view of index.html in a site is allowed as long as the original files are stored in the same system and the administrator can access them.
2.Never change system files except that are needed to secure your identity, for example deleting a log file when we enter a computer.
3.Never leave your true name (or the other name), original handle, or true telephone number in the system, which is accessed illegally. They can trace you from your handle.
4.Be very careful when sharing sensitive information. The government will be smarter than before. Generally, if you don’t know who is your friend while chatting then make sure you remember these tips.
5. Never begin with targeting the government’s computers. Actually, there is a government’s site that is safe to be hacked, but the risk is bigger than the advantages. Remember, the government has an unlimited budget than an ISP/company that has a main purpose to get profit.

Etika Hacker

Perbedaan utama antara hacker dan cracker adalah pada etika masing-masing. Jadi jangan ngaku hacker kalau nggak mematuhi etika dan kode etik sebagai seorang hacker sejati. Salah-salah bisa dicap sebagai cracker. Berikut ini akan dijabarkan rambu-rambu kalau mau menjadi “The True Hacker” yaitu :

1.Jangan merusak sistem manapun secara sengaja. (format hard disk, crash, overflow, dan sebagainya. Mengubah tampilan index.html sebuah website diperbolehkan asalkan file aslinya disimpan di sistem yang sama dan bisa diakses oleh administrator.)
2.Jangan mengubah file-file sistem selain yang diperlukan untuk mengamankan identitas kamu misalnya menghapus log file saat kita masuk ke sebuah komputer.
3.Jangan meninggalkan nama asli anda (maupun orang lain), handle asli, maupun nomor telepon asli di sistem apapun yang anda akses secara ilegal. Mereka bisa dan akan melacak anda dari handle anda.
4.Berhati-hatilah dalam berbagi informasi sensitif. Pemerintah akan menjadi semakin pintar. Secara umum, jika kamu tidak mengenal siapa sebenarnya lawan bicara/chatmu, be very careful!
5.Jangan memulai dengan menargetkan komputer-komputer milik pemerintah. Memang sih ada situs milik pemerintah yang cukup aman untuk di-hack, namun resikonya lebih besar dari keuntungannya. Ingat, pemerintah punya dana yang tak terbatas dibanding dengan ISP/Perusahaan yang objektifnya adalah untuk mencari profit.

What on earth is hacking? Is it really important for me? Will I be a fool if I don’t know what hacking is? Sometimes or maybe, those kinds of questions ever came to your brain. Of course, the answers are no, aren’t they? You will not be a fool person although you don’t know hacking and every part of it >_<. Not everyone needs to know hacking because it’s just important for several persons.

The word hacking or hacker itself was invented in about 1959 from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), a university in USA that consist of a lot of smart person, but almost all of them have tendency to not believe in God (atheism). Well, all of the things started at that time, from a new room that was called “EAM Room” in the Building 26 MIT. A place that now is considered to be an ancestor of a new world that is called “computer”. It is a machine that can bring us to a freedom of information, the world of the true hacker.

Almost all of people believe that hacking is a crime, a sin that have to be kept away from. But, I think that is a big mistake. There are fundamental reasons why hacking isn’t crime. In fact, hacking is different with cracking. Hacking is activity that has purposes to develop knowledge and share information freely without limit. Hacker is a person who is interested in knowing deeply about how systems, computers or networks work. Hackers consist of many programmers that are very expert in network. They also build internet using the development of UNIX Operating System. The difference between hacking and cracking is that cracking itself has purposes to destroy systems, computers, or networks for the crackers own will. Crackers will do everything to reach his/her purposes. They can deface a site, spread a virus without clear purpose or maybe break into a computer.

Do you want to be a great hacker? Well, there is no difficulty for a person who wants to learn. First, you have to master several programming languages. You can learn the easiest programming language that is [Python]. After that, you can learn [Java], [Perl], [C], and [C++] that is the main of UNIX. Then, try to open one of the versions of UNIX open sources or learn about LINUX, read the code, encode and then run it again whether it can work or not. If you find some difficulties, don’t be shy to communicate it with LINUX users.The next step is by looking for reference in internet and joining forum, milis (mailing list), or chatting that discusses about hacking. The choice is a lot and that depends on yourself, whether you wanna join the easy or the expert one. I suggest you to choose the easy one (if you are still newbie ^_^). Be an active person is the key. Ask someone as often as you can if you found difficulties and of course, don’t pretend to know something if you don’t expert on it. You will be recognized as a lamer ~_~.

Finally, if you want to be a great hacker or a cracker that destroy everything, it is your own choice. There is no one will forbid you. Life is choice, isn’t it? The most important thing is by keeping it up and happy learning!

Hacking itu apa sih? Memangnya penting untukku? Apakah aku akan jadi orang bodoh kalau aku nggak tahu apa itu hacking? Kadang atau mungkin pertanyaan itu pernah terlintas di pikiran kamu. Tentu saja jawabannya tidak, kan? Kamu nggak akan jadi orang bodoh gara-gara nggak tau apa itu hacking >_<. Tidak setiap orang perlu tau hacking karena hacking cuma berguna bagi sebagian orang.

Istilah hacking atau hacker sendiri lahir sekitar tahun 1959 dari MIT(Massachusetts Institute of Technology), sebuah universitas di Amerika yang terdiri dari orang-orang cerdas namun cenderung tidak mempercayai adanya Tuhan (atheis). Saat itulah semua berawal, dari sebuah ruangan baru, "EAM room" pada Building 26 MIT, sebuah tempat yang merupakan nenek moyang dari dunia baru yang kita sebut sebagai "komputer". Sebuah mesin yang mampu membawa kita menuju ke kebebasan informasi, dunia para hacker sejati.

Hampir semua orang percaya bahwa hacking adalah sebuah kejahatan, suatu dosa yang harus dihindari. Tapi, kupikir itu adalah suatu kesalahan besar. Ada alasan mendasar mengapa hacking bukan merupakan kejahatan. Dalam kenyataannya, hacking berbeda banget dengan cracking. Hacking adalah kegiatan yang mempunyai tujuan untuk mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan dan sharing informasi bebas tanpa batas. Hacker adalah seseorang yang tertarik untuk mengetahui bagaimana kerja suatu sistem, komputer atau jaringan komputer. Mereka terdiri dari banyak programmer yang sangat ahli masalah jaringan. Mereka jugalah yang membangun internet lewat pengembangan sistem operasi UNIX. Perbedaan antara hacking dan cracking adalah cracking sendiri mempunyai tujuan untuk menghancurkan sistem, komputer atau jaringan. Para cracker akan menghalalkan segala cara untuk mencapai apa yang ia inginkan. Mereka bisa mendeface sebuah situs, menyebarkan virus tanpa tujuan yang jelas serta bahkan membobol komputer. So, itu adalah pilihan kamu sendiri apakah kamu ingin menjadi hacker ataukah cracker.

Kamu mau jadi hacker yang hebat? Yang jelas nggak ada kata sulit untuk orang yang mau belajar. Pertama, kamu harus menguasai yang namanya bahasa pemrogaman. Kamu bisa belajar bahasa pemrograman yang paling mudah dahulu yaitu [Python]. Kemudian kamu bisa mempelajari [Java], [Perl], [C], dan [C++] yang merupakan inti dari UNIX. Kemudian coba untuk membuka salah satu versi dari UNIX atau kalau nggak belajar tentang LINUX, baca kodenya, buka lalu jalankan lagi apakah bisa jalan dengan benar atau nggak. Jika kamu menemukan kesulitan, jangan malu bertanya pada LINUX users.Cara berikutnya yaitu dengan rajin-rajin mencari referensi di internet dan mengikuti forum, milis (mailing list), atau chat yang membahas seluk beluk hacking. Pilihannya banyak sih, suka-suka kamu mau milih yang mana.Yang aku sarankan sih yang mudah-mudah saja tutorialnya (maklum masih newbie ^_^).Be an active person adalah kuncinya, sering-seringlah bertanya kalau benar-benar nggak tahu dan tentu saja jangan sok tahu terhadap apa yang belum kamu ketahui. Salah-salah malahan dicap sebagai seorang lamer ~_~.
