In an exceptional setting of vineyards, woods and olive groves, this 18th century bastide in Provence had been abandoned for 50 years before Marie and Philippe Guillanton brought it back to life. Come and have a look with me.

French Inspired Home

Before I start with today's tour I must apologize for having been away for quite a long time. There were some matters that needed my attention and I had to set blogging aside for a while. I have only just now read my blog's emails and I'd like to thank those who inquired if I was ok.

I am also way behind visiting other blogs too. I've got a lot of catching up to do!

So, what do you say if we go back to our tours?

Today I'd like to show you this lovely French inspired home. Not many photographs, but quite a number of interesting details, like the scales hanging from the ceiling, the sign above the window, and the patina in the kitchen.

Apartment in Sweden

Built in 1878, this apartment in Linnestaden, Sweden was renovated in 1992 preserving its period features. Hope you like it!

Hope you all had a great weekend, my friends! Anyone's birthday today? It is very likely that one of you visiting today is celebrating their birthday. So today's post is my present to you. On to our tour then. Architect Lluis Auquer was appointed to redesign and restore this home which used to be a barn and was nearly in ruins. It is located in the Catalan region of Lower Empordà, in Spain.

Christmas in Norway

Too early to start with Christmas decorations? I think it's time to start planning for Christmas, choose your Christmas colours, and get some ideas. The owners of this home in Drøbak, Oslo, used silver, grey, and white.

Do you decorate your home for Christmas by choosing one or two colours, or do you use different colours in each room? Maybe it is multiple colours for you. I'd love to know.

New Hampshire Home

Am struggling a bit with the new blogger interface. I suppose I'll get used to it but I prefer the old one. One issue that bothers me is that I can't separate the images without having to go to HTML. Anyone else with this problem?

Renovated in Sweden

Maria had lots of work ahead when she bought this house in 2003. From removing the entire ceiling to knocking down most of the indoor walls to create space. It is located in Ekero, just 40 minutes away from Stockholm.

Inspired by Nature

Anything old and natural, attracts Katrin like a magnet. Abandoned boards, fallen branches, sticks, stones, even rusty nails. This 15th century house where she takes all her finds used to be a mill, then the building was converted into a monastery. Katrin Arens and her two daughters now live here. She also has another passion: sewing clothes for children. Of course, the fabrics she uses are also recovered.
Have a look at the details. I'm sure that some of the ideas will inspire you.
I'd love to know what you think about this home.
