Our 2015-16 school year officially started on August 24.  We weren&#39;t completely ready, plans were a little sketchy, and we were still waiting on a few books, but we started anyway. One of the first objectives: get into a routine. This year I have a 9th grader, a 1st grader, and a 1 year old.  Whew! I&#39;m tired just thinking about it.

So it has been a while since my little blog got some attention. It seems that mommy&#39;s attention is quite the rare commodity these days. I feel like I&#39;m running in circles most days, and can&#39;t seem to accomplish half the things on my ever-growing list.

This week has been incredibly nice with below average temperature and humidity. We usually don&#39;t have these temps in July, but we&#39;re in a pattern of having a hot week, then a cool week. I love it!

My week started with a check on our baby girl. I got a good report even though I&#39;ve been feeling crummy! It&#39;s just the baby taking up lots of important space in my mid-section.  Not a lot of fun....only 6 weeks to go!

First of all, our garden is not one you would ever see in a catalog or anywhere for that matter. It is always a last minute, hurried project that we never seem to have time to do properly. We plant a garden strictly for eating (is there any other reason), and only plant veggies we know we will eat.

Our week started with church, as always. Sunday is always a busy day with family dinner between services.  It was very rainy Sunday, so the kids had to stay inside instead of playing their usual baseball game.  Daddy had a busy week with several longer trips for work.

I am preparing for a new baby in August, yeah, I know perfect timing! I&#39;ve got to get lots of things figured out before then, including our new curriculum for the next school year.

The weather&#39;s usually not too bad, and we take a break during April, so we&#39;re ready to get started back on our school work. We have been busy the last few weeks.

April came in with a bang around here! We&#39;ve already had two evenings of severe weather, which in Southeast Missouri can get pretty hairy. And I hate when storms come at night! At least the temps are staying above freezing, and have been downright pleasant most days.






 I love spring! Our redbud trees are finally budding, as well as all of the Bradford pears in the neighborhood.
