India’s online card game market is not one market. It is three, each built on different legal foundations, different player motivations, and different business models that share almost nothing beyond the fact that they use a standard 52-card deck. Teen Patti, Rummy, and Andar Bahar collectively account for the majority of India’s real-money card gaming activity, yet the three games attract fundamentally different audiences, generate revenue through different mechanisms, and have followed divergent regulatory paths that shaped how each one scaled online.

Understanding this split matters for anyone trying to evaluate the Indian online gaming sector, whether as a player choosing where to spend time and money or as an observer trying to make sense of a market projected to reach $9.89 billion by 2031, according to Mordor Intelligence. The numbers are large. The distinctions between these three games are larger.

Why Rummy attracted billions in venture capital while Teen Patti went international

Three Games, One Legal Tangle

The legal distinction between these three games defined their commercial trajectories long before any of them went online. India’s Supreme Court ruled in State of Andhra Pradesh v. K. Satyanarayana (1968) that Rummy is predominantly a game of skill. That single ruling gave Rummy platforms the legal cover to accept real-money wagers in most Indian states for decades. Teen Patti and Andar Bahar received no such protection.

Teen Patti, often called Indian Poker, was classified as a game of chance by Indian courts. The reasoning is straightforward. Each player receives three cards. The betting structure allows bluffing and strategic folding, but the outcome depends heavily on the initial deal. The Supreme Court’s classification placed Teen Patti in the same regulatory bracket as pure gambling, pushing real-money versions of the game toward internationally licensed platforms rather than domestic ones.

Andar Bahar sits at the far end of the spectrum. The game involves a single card being drawn as a reference, followed by cards dealt alternately to two piles until a match appears. There is no strategy involved beyond choosing a side. The player makes one decision, and the rest is pure probability. No court has ever classified Andar Bahar as anything other than a game of chance.

This three-tier legal framework created three entirely different business environments. Rummy companies raised venture capital, hired hundreds of employees, and advertised on national television. Teen Patti operators built audiences on social gaming apps funded by virtual currency, with the real-money segment migrating to offshore casinos. Andar Bahar remained largely a feature within broader casino platforms rather than a standalone product.

Then came PROGA. India’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, passed in August 2025 and enforced around October, imposed a blanket prohibition on all online money games without distinguishing between skill and chance. The legal advantage that Rummy had enjoyed for 57 years vanished overnight. All three games now occupy the same legal space, at least until the Supreme Court rules on the constitutional challenges currently before it.

Where the Player Bases Diverge

Despite sharing a card deck and an Indian player base, Teen Patti, Rummy, and Andar Bahar attract meaningfully different demographic profiles. The differences are visible in session length, spending patterns, and the social context of play.

Rummy drew the competitive, repeat-session player. Platforms like RummyCircle and A23 built their retention models around tournaments, leaderboards, and progressive skill rankings. The typical Rummy player logged in multiple times per week, played in structured tournaments with fixed entry fees, and viewed the game as a skill-based pursuit closer to poker than to a slot machine. Two-thirds of India’s gamers reside in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, according to Sensor Tower, and Rummy platforms reported some of their highest engagement rates from exactly these regions.

Teen Patti attracted the social and festival-driven player. The game’s roots in Diwali celebrations and family card nights gave it a built-in seasonal surge that no other Indian card game matches. Teen Patti Gold alone maintains 6 million monthly active players globally, according to EarnKaro, and two Teen Patti titles consistently sit in India’s top five grossing apps. But the playing pattern is different from Rummy. Teen Patti sessions tend to be shorter, more social, and more concentrated around cultural events and evenings. The game functions as entertainment first, competition second.

Andar Bahar attracted the pure casino player. The game’s simplicity, with its single bet and near-instant resolution, appeals to players who enjoy the rhythm of rapid outcomes. If you’ve explored how to play Andar Bahar at online casinos, the appeal is immediately clear. The game requires no learning curve, no hand rankings to memorize, and no opponents to outplay. It is the most accessible entry point into real-money card gaming, which is precisely why international casino platforms feature it prominently alongside other fast-resolution games like Dragon Tiger.

Three Revenue Models That Shape the Playing Experience

The business model behind each game determines almost everything about the player experience, from table limits to withdrawal speeds to how aggressively the platform pushes bonuses. These three games use three fundamentally different monetization approaches.

Rummy operates on a rake model. The platform takes a small percentage of each pot in cash games, typically between 5% and 15%, and charges fixed entry fees for tournaments. This structure is borrowed directly from poker economics. The platform’s revenue scales with the volume of games played rather than with player losses, which creates an incentive to keep games fair and retention high. Rummy platforms also invested heavily in loyalty programs and cashback offers to drive repeat play, because a player who quits costs more than a player who loses a hand.

Teen Patti at online casinos runs on a house edge model. When played as a live dealer table game or a software-based variant, the platform builds its margin into the game rules themselves. Evolution Gaming’s Live Teen Patti, for example, carries a return-to-player rate of 96.63%, meaning the house retains roughly 3.37% of all wagered money over time. The player experience under this model depends almost entirely on which casino hosts the game. Withdrawal speed, game variety, Hindi-speaking dealers, and whether the platform buries conversion fees in the fine print all vary dramatically between operators. Resources like https://teenpatti.us.com/ exist specifically to walk players through these differences, comparing how individual casinos treat the game rather than lumping all platforms into a single recommendation list.

Andar Bahar generates revenue through house edge and side bets. The base game carries a relatively thin margin on the main Andar/Bahar wager, with the platform’s true profit coming from optional side bets on card ranges, colors, or exact match positions. These side bets carry significantly higher house edges, sometimes exceeding 10%, which makes them the primary revenue driver. The result is a game where the advertised simplicity masks a layered monetization structure that rewards players who stick to the main bet and penalizes those drawn to the extras.

Why Rummy Outpaced the Other Two Before the Ban

Between 2018 and 2025, Rummy attracted a disproportionate share of India’s online gaming investment. The reason was entirely legal. The 1968 Supreme Court ruling gave Rummy a regulatory moat that Teen Patti and Andar Bahar could not replicate.

Games24x7, the company behind RummyCircle, raised over $75 million from Tiger Global Management and was reportedly valued above $2.5 billion at its peak. Head Digital Works, operator of A23 Rummy, and Junglee Games both built substantial user bases and attracted institutional investors willing to bet on a legally protected gaming vertical. The wider real-money gaming sector generated over 200,000 jobs and was valued at approximately Rs 230 billion ($2.75 billion) annually, according to Outlook Business, with Rummy platforms accounting for a significant share of that figure.

Teen Patti, lacking domestic legal protection, developed along a parallel but very different path. Social gaming versions of Teen Patti dominated Indian app stores. Octro Teen Patti alone has accumulated 94 million downloads on Google Play with a 4.5-star rating across 14.5 million reviews. But the real-money segment migrated to international platforms licensed in Curacao, Malta, and Gibraltar, where Indian gaming law does not apply. The result was a bifurcated market. India had massive Teen Patti engagement through free-to-play apps, while the real-money version lived offshore.

Andar Bahar followed an even narrower trajectory. The game never developed its own standalone platform ecosystem. Instead, it became a catalog feature within larger online casinos, offered alongside blackjack, baccarat, and roulette as part of a broader Asian games section. Live dealer versions from providers like Evolution Gaming, Ezugi, and Super Spade Games made the game accessible to international audiences, but Andar Bahar never achieved the cultural momentum or dedicated player base that Teen Patti and Rummy built independently.

Relative market presence based on platform count, downloads, and operator adoption

PROGA’s blanket ban in October 2025 collapsed these three separate trajectories into one. Dream11, MPL, and other major Rummy-adjacent platforms paused domestic services. Banks pulled payment processing from gaming companies. The sector that had supported 200,000 jobs lost an estimated 7,000 workers in the immediate aftermath, according to Mobidictum, with asset write-downs exceeding $840 million across banned platforms.

The irony is substantial. Rummy’s legal advantage, painstakingly built through decades of court rulings, was eliminated in a single parliamentary session. Teen Patti and Andar Bahar, which had already adapted to operating through international platforms, were relatively less affected. The game that played by the rules lost the most when the rules changed.

The market split between these three games tells you everything about how regulation shapes consumer behavior in India. Rummy built a billion-dollar ecosystem inside the legal system. Teen Patti built one outside it. Andar Bahar never tried to build one at all. When PROGA hit, the game that had invested the most in compliance lost the most value. That should give every gaming entrepreneur pause.

What the Comparison Means for Players Choosing a Platform

The practical takeaway from this three-way comparison is that evaluating an online card game platform requires different criteria depending on which game you actually want to play. A good Rummy platform is not a good Teen Patti platform, and neither is a good Andar Bahar platform. The skills that matter, the metrics worth checking, and the red flags to watch for are game-specific.

For Rummy, the evaluation centers on tournament structure, rake transparency, and the depth of the player pool. A platform with beautiful graphics but thin tournament brackets and hidden rake percentages is not serving Rummy players well. The skill component means that player pool size directly affects game quality. Larger pools produce better matchmaking, more diverse skill levels, and more consistent tournament scheduling.

For Teen Patti, the evaluation shifts to casino-level criteria. Live dealer availability, game variation depth (Classic, Muflis, AK47, Joker, 999, and Royal represent just the most common six), withdrawal processing speed, and whether the platform actually treats Teen Patti as a featured product rather than an afterthought buried in a side menu. The 85.7% of India’s gaming revenue that comes from real-money gaming, as reported in industry analyses, flows through platforms whose quality varies enormously. A player choosing between Teen Patti casinos needs a very different evaluation framework than one choosing between Rummy apps.

For Andar Bahar, the evaluation is simpler but still matters. Side bet house edges vary significantly between providers. Some platforms offer Andar Bahar with additional betting options that carry reasonable margins; others load the game with high-edge side bets designed to accelerate player losses. The base game is the same everywhere, so the differentiation happens entirely in the surrounding terms, including deposit options, withdrawal timelines, and whether the live dealer stream runs smoothly on a mobile connection.

Pro Tip

Before committing money to any platform, test the withdrawal process first. Make a minimum deposit, play a few rounds, and request a cashout. The speed and transparency of that first withdrawal tells you more about a platform’s reliability than any review or bonus offer. This applies equally to Teen Patti, Rummy, and Andar Bahar platforms.

The post-PROGA landscape has also changed the calculus for Indian players. With domestic platforms paused, the 35 million Indians living overseas and those accessing international platforms now account for a growing share of real-money card gaming activity. International casino operators licensed in Curacao, Malta, or Gibraltar are not subject to Indian domestic law, and they have invested in Hindi-speaking live dealers, UPI-compatible payment flows, and culturally relevant game lobbies that treat Indian card games as primary offerings rather than regional curiosities.

The three-game comparison reveals a broader truth about the Indian online gaming market. It was never one market. The legal framework, the player motivations, and the business models were always distinct. PROGA compressed the regulatory side of that distinction, but the player side remains. Someone who plays Rummy for the tournament competition is not the same person who plays Teen Patti during Diwali for the social experience, and neither is the same person who plays Andar Bahar for the quick-resolution thrill. Platforms that understand this will serve their players better than those that treat all Indian card games as interchangeable.

Introduction

Hey there! Looking to learn how to play the classic Indian card game Andar Bahar online? You’ve come to the right place. Grab a cup of chai, get comfy, and let me walk you through everything you need to know. Players in markets like Nigeria and New Zealand are also discovering the excitement of online casino games about getting started with this fun, fast-paced game.

Title

Description

Game Origins

Andar Bahar, a traditional Indian game, has seamlessly transitioned to online platforms, retaining its core essence.

Online Setup

Choosing a reputable online casino and understanding the game interface are crucial for a smooth Andar Bahar experience.

Gameplay Rules

While the game is simple, understanding the role of the dealer and various betting options can enhance your chances of success.

Strategic Play

Employ basic and advanced strategies to make informed bets and maximize your gaming experience.

The Basics of Andar Bahar

The Deck and Card Values

Andar Bahar uses a standard 52-card deck. Easy enough! The goal is to predict whether a card of a certain value will show up on the Andar (left) side or the Bahar (right) side. The cards have their regular face values, with the Ace being lowest and the King the highest.

The Two Sides: Andar and Bahar

The game is named after the two sides you can bet on: Andar (inside) and Bahar (outside). After the first card is drawn, you place your bet on which side the next card of the same value as the first card will appear.

Setting Up to Play Online

Choosing the Right Online Platform

If you want to play real money Andar Bahar online, you’ll want to pick a legit, trusted site. Some popular options are LuckyNiki, Winning Kings, Fun88, Bollywood Casino, and Maharaja Fortune. Do your homework – read reviews, make sure they have proper licensing, understand the payout system. This will ensure you have a smooth, safe experience.

For those eager to dive into the game, it’s paramount to select a reliable online casino. Look for platforms with positive reviews, proper licenses, and a variety of game options. Latestly recently published a great article covering Andar Bahar and where to play it online.

Understanding the Game Interface

The top online Andar Bahar sites have user-friendly interfaces that make gameplay a breeze. You’ll be able to easily place bets, view game history, chat with live dealers, and more.

Rules and Gameplay

Starting the Game

The dealer draws one card and places it in the center – this card is the anchor for that round.

Placing Bets

Now it’s your turn! Place your bet on whether you think the next card of the same value will pop up on the Andar side or the Bahar side. You can bet different amounts, and some sites even offer side bets to up the action.

Winning and Payouts

If your prediction is right, cha-ching! Payouts are typically 1:1, but can vary depending on where you play and any side bets.

Strategies and Tips

Basic Strategies for Beginners

While luck plays a big role, you can tilt the odds in your favor by watching for patterns, practicing a lot, and setting a gambling budget.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Newbies often make the mistakes of chasing losses or betting aimlessly. Stay calm, bet smart, and know when to walk away – key for enjoying Andar Bahar.

The Rise of Andar Bahar in the Online World

Andar Bahar now sits alongside Teen Patti and Rummy as one of the three Indian card games shaping the online gaming market, each attracting a distinct type of player.

Introduction

Dragon Tiger is a popular casino game that originated in Asia and has gained popularity worldwide, including in regions like Nigeria and New Zealand due to its simplicity and fast-paced nature. This article will guide you through the process of getting started with playing Dragon Tiger online for real money. We’ll cover everything from understanding the game rules to developing a basic strategy, ensuring you’re well-prepared to start your Dragon Tiger journey.

Key Takeaways:

Title

Description

Understanding Dragon Tiger

Dragon Tiger is a simple and fast-paced casino game that originated in Asia. Players bet on whether the Dragon or the Tiger will draw a higher card.

Getting Started with Dragon Tiger Online

To play Dragon Tiger online, find a reputable online casino, create an account, deposit funds, and navigate to the Dragon Tiger game.

Basic Dragon Tiger Strategy

Avoid the Tie bet due to its high house edge. Instead, stick to betting on either the Dragon or the Tiger for consistent small wins.

Playing Dragon Tiger Responsibly

Set a budget for your gaming session and stick to it, never chase your losses, and remember that the aim of playing should be to have fun.

Understanding Dragon Tiger

Dragon Tiger is often compared to Baccarat due to its simplicity. The game involves two sides, the Dragon and the Tiger, and players bet on which side will draw a higher card. The game uses a standard 52-card deck, and each side is dealt one card per round. The card values are ranked as in poker, with Ace being the lowest and King the highest.

One interesting fact about Dragon Tiger is that it is believed to be one of the oldest games of chance in the world, with a rich history in the Chinese gambling houses of Macau. The game is easy to learn and can be played with a minimum of two players, making it a great choice for beginners and experienced players alike. Dragon Tiger shares this accessibility with other Asian card games that have gone digital, and understanding how different Indian card games compare in the online market can help you decide which games suit your style.

Getting Started with Dragon Tiger Online

To start playing Dragon Tiger online, the first step is to find a reputable online casino that offers the game. Make sure the casino is licensed and regulated to ensure fair play. Once you’ve chosen a casino, you’ll need to create an account, deposit funds, and navigate to the Dragon Tiger game.

When you sit down to play Dragon Tiger, you simply select your bet size and decide whether to bet on the Dragon, the Tiger, or a Tie. The dealer then deals one card face up to each side, and the side with the higher card wins. If both sides draw a card of the same value, the round is a tie. Winning bets on the Dragon or Tiger pay 1:1, while a winning Tie bet pays 11:1.

This article is a great resource to find the most reputable Dragon Tiger Casinos: www.outlookindia.com

Developing a Basic Strategy

While Dragon Tiger is largely a game of chance, there are a few strategies you can employ to increase your chances of winning. One of the most important tips is to avoid the Tie bet, despite its attractive 11:1 payout. The house edge on the Tie bet is significantly higher than on the Dragon or Tiger bets, making it a risky choice.

Instead, stick to betting on either the Dragon or the Tiger. While these bets only pay 1:1, they have a lower house edge, and you get half your stake back if the round ends in a tie. This strategy relies on consistent small wins to gradually build up your bankroll.

Playing Responsibly

As with any form of gambling, it’s important to play Dragon Tiger responsibly. Set a budget for your gaming session and stick to it, and never chase your losses. Remember, the aim of playing Dragon Tiger should be to have fun, so always play within your means.

Conclusion

Dragon Tiger is a fun and exciting casino game that’s perfect for players looking for a fast-paced and straightforward game. With its simple rules and quick gameplay, it’s a great choice for both beginners and experienced players. If you enjoy card games like this, you might also love Andar Bahar, another exciting Asian card game. So why wait? Start your Dragon Tiger journey today and experience the thrill of this popular casino game.

Introduction: The Rise of Online Casino Gambling in Nigeria

Nigeria is witnessing an impressive surge in the popularity of online casino gambling. More than just a pastime, online gambling has grown into a burgeoning industry, with millions of Nigerians engaging in a variety of casino games every day, from classics like Andar Bahar to Dragon Tiger. This surge can be attributed to factors such as the advancement of technology, improved internet connectivity, and the flexibility offered by online casinos compared to their traditional land-based counterparts.

Understanding the Legal Landscape

Online casino gambling in Nigeria operates under a legal framework that is crucial for every player to understand. The National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) is the main body that regulates all gambling activities in the country, ensuring transparency and fairness. It’s legal for Nigerians to engage in online gambling as long as the online casino is licensed by a reputable regulatory authority, such as the NLRC, the Malta Gaming Authority, or the United Kingdom Gambling Commission.

Advantages of Online Casino Gambling Over Land-Based Casinos

Online casinos offer myriad advantages over traditional land-based casinos. Firstly, they provide convenience, as you can access a multitude of games from the comfort of your own home. Secondly, online casinos often offer a broader range of games, including slots, poker, blackjack, and roulette. Furthermore, they frequently provide welcome bonuses and promotions, allowing players to get more value for their money.

Choosing a Reputable Online Casino in Nigeria

When selecting an online casino platform in Nigeria, consider the following factors:

Licensing: Ensure the platform is licensed by a reputable authority, as this verifies its legitimacy and compliance with gambling regulations.

Security: Look for casinos with robust security measures, such as encryption technologies to protect your personal and financial information.

Game Selection: Choose a platform that offers a variety of games to cater to your interests and skill levels.

Payment Options: A good online casino should offer a variety of secure payment options, including bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and e-wallets.

VanguardNGR wrote a great article explaining more in details on recommended online casinos in Nigeria.

Setting up Your Online Casino Account

After selecting a reputable online casino, follow these steps to create an account:

Registration: Fill out the registration form with your personal details.

Age Verification: Provide a valid ID to confirm that you are at least 18 years old, the legal gambling age in Nigeria.

Account Funding: Choose your preferred payment method to deposit funds into your account.

Start playing: Select any casino game and start playing straight away.

Cultivating Responsible Gambling Habits

While online casino gambling can be entertaining, it’s important to play responsibly. Set spending and time limits to avoid overspending or becoming too immersed in the games. Recognize signs of addiction, such as feeling a constant urge to gamble or gambling with money you can’t afford to lose. If you or someone you know is struggling with gambling addiction, don’t hesitate to seek professional help.

In conclusion, online casino gambling in Nigeria is a dynamic, exciting world that offers a convenient alternative to traditional gambling. By understanding the legal landscape, choosing a reputable platform, and practicing responsible gambling, you can engage in this pastime in a safe and enjoyable manner.

Staying Informed and Updated

As an online casino player, it’s crucial to keep yourself informed about the latest trends and changes in the industry. Join online forums, follow gambling news websites, and engage with other players to share experiences and learn more about the online casino landscape in Nigeria. The online gambling community is often a valuable resource for getting recommendations about the best online casinos, new game releases, and upcoming promotions.

Enhancing Your Gaming Experience

Once you’ve become familiar with online casino gambling, you might want to take your experience to the next level. Consider learning new games or improving your strategies in your favorite ones. Many online casinos offer free demos where you can practice without risking any money. There are also numerous resources available online, such as tutorials, strategy guides, and forums, where you can learn and improve.

Utilizing Bonuses and Promotions

Most online casinos in Nigeria offer various bonuses and promotions, which can enhance your gaming experience and potentially increase your winnings. Welcome bonuses, reload bonuses, and loyalty programs are just a few of the incentives offered. However, always read the terms and conditions associated with these bonuses, as they usually have wagering requirements that must be met before you can withdraw any winnings.

Conclusion: Embracing the Future of Gambling

The future of casino gambling in Nigeria lies online. It offers convenience, a broad variety of games, and the opportunity to engage with a vibrant community of fellow players. By staying informed, honing your skills, and utilizing bonuses wisely, you can fully embrace the exciting world of online casino gambling in Nigeria. Always remember to gamble responsibly, making this fun pastime an enriching part of your life rather than a destructive one.
The post Online Casino Gambling in Nigeria: A Beginners Guide first appeared on Blog Bloke Tips.

There is an argument to be made that traditional blogs have become a thing of the past. With the rise of new technologies and increasing internet speeds, people have found new and innovative ways to get their messages across. You have vlogs, live streams, and social media posts, which begs the question – are blogs still relevant?

And, more importantly for this article, can blogs be an effective way of promoting online casino bonuses in India, or should you go a different route?

There are certainly arguments on both sides of this discussion, and it depends on who you ask, but here, we’ll focus on some of the biggest reasons why blogs can still be a very effective medium to get your message across.

Clear & Concise Message

When it comes to online casino bonuses, players want as much information as possible. They want to know about the numbers, wagering requirements, restrictions, and more. This is a lot of information to consume and remember, so it is very handy to be able to go back to the source and refresh your memory.

This is where blogs still come ahead of the rest of the pack. There is no need to scroll through a bunch of posts or click around a video to find the information you need. A well-written blog will have a structure that’s easy to follow, allowing readers to find the info they need in a matter of seconds.

We are talking about the way of presentation exemplified at https://gamblino.com/casino-bonus/, where all the important facts are clearly laid out to save you time and give you what you need without complications.

Always Accessible

If you want to find some information about the best casino bonuses in India, watching a video on the topic isn’t always an option. You are often in a situation where you have some free time on your hands, but you can’t turn on a video due to noise or because you can’t fully focus on it.

A blog post, on the other hand, can be read in almost any setting. You don’t need to pull your headphones out, you don’t need a super-fast connection, and you can go through a few different posts quickly.

Some Players Prefer Blogs

Finally, there are some players who prefer this more traditional way of conveying information. While online gambling has exploded over the past few years, not everyone who enjoys it is up to date with the latest trends and technologies.

There are many players out there who don’t even know what vlogs and Twitch streams are. When looking for information on Indian casino bonuses, they’ll be looking for simple blog posts and ignore everything else.

This is actually a very powerful reason for using blogs that many people seem to disregard. There is a big segment of the casino gaming audience that prefers consuming information this way, and if you have a quality blog, you’ll land yourself repeat visitors who’ll stick with you for months and even years to come.
The post Are Blogs the Right Way to Promote India Casino Bonuses? first appeared on Blog Bloke Tips.

New Zealand has a long-standing tradition with the practice of gambling, so much so that it has evolved into a progressive and contemporary relationship, keeping the people constantly up to date with the latest trends. While their player pool is able to enjoy the benefits of gambling entertainment at both land-based and online establishments, there are a few points worth considering before getting into the NZ gambling practice personally.

Gambling throughout History – New Zealand Gambling Laws Up Until Today

The gambling laws of the country have been present in their legal system for quite some time, but it is only recently that they have been clearly defined and amended to fit the newer forms of online gambling. Namely, the first legitimate gambling regulations date as far back as the 1920s, when sports betting was initially prohibited, and later followed by horse racing. Ultimately, the 1980 regulations permitted some of these gambling activities under the statute of the country’s legal system.

Since the regulations directly affected lotteries and casinos, these were the first establishments to set tent. Pokies and other forms followed soon afterwards, creating a surge in the industry that had been virtually non-existent for the past few decades. Ultimately, it was the passing of the Gambling Act 2003 that defined and regulated the relations completely.

Permitted Land-based & Online Forms of Gambling in NZ

According to the final form of regulations applied to the NZ gambling market, there are four different classes of gambling activities, each regulated, capped and legalized in their own way. To be more precise, the Class 1 gambling activities are those where the prize does not exceed $500. While these don’t require a license, the Class 2 activities that include prizes between $500 and $5000 do need one.

Class 3 gambling activities can offer prizes exceeding the $5000 amount and are obligated to hold a gambling license. The final class refers to gambling machines – slots – that are found in other locations outside casinos, such as pubs. Private gambling is close to these and often considered to fall under the same class.

Once you are aware of the official division under the law, you should know that, in practice, New Zealanders are able to enjoy sports betting, casino, lottery and poker gambling, as well as bingo. Bitcoin gambling is just as permitted, even though the currency hasn’t been clearly legalized in the given context.

As for the most contemporary form of gambling – online – legal provisions stipulate that the activity itself is completely legal, much like the growing online casino scene in Nigeria and can be practised. Nonetheless, online gambling operators are not allowed to run their platforms from the country. This means that New Zealanders will not face any legal obstructions while gambling remotely, but they can only do it on off-shore websites that are licensed and established elsewhere.

The Ins & Outs of Online Gambling In New Zealand

Knowing about the current legal situation regarding online gambling in New Zealand, the question regarding the best ways to gamble online is all the more imminent. Players need to be able to identify the key considerations that will guarantee a safe, yet fun online gambling experience.

For one, players should always check the platform before committing to it – the best operators clearly state their licenses, their audit reports and any additional security and reliability indicators. Another feature which can seriously improve your online gambling experience is the operator’s bonuses and player deals. Pay attention to their wagering requirements instead of the amount offered on the home page, because in this industry, there is no such thing as free money.

Ultimately, all caution and no fun won’t provide the thrill you normally imagine when thinking of a casino floor – game selections are just as important as any other segments. Make sure they provide a provably fair, entertaining and above all rewarding experience, and you should be good to go. After all, nowadays, you can simply go online to read reviews of popular online gambling sites and get the scoop from someone else if you haven’t made up your mind yet.

While there are many additional aspects of the online gambling content providers you could examine when determining the ins and outs to successful gambling in NZ, these should get you started. All you need to do after that is get your bankroll and strategy ready. You might want to explore exciting games like Andar Bahar or Dragon Tiger to add variety to your gaming sessions – and gamble on.
The post How to Get Started with Online Gambling in New Zealand first appeared on Blog Bloke Tips.

Over the past few years, we’ve witnessed a huge rise in popularity of the phenomenon known as casino streaming. Twitch, as the most popular streaming platform, as well as YouTube, have become home for numerous casino streamers sharing their gambling adventures with their loyal fans and followers.

Although there are various types of streamers in the gambling niche these days, all of them basically play their favorite casino games, be it slots, roulette, or blackjack (usually the mix of many games) for the whole world to see. Thanks to live streaming technologies available on YouTube and Twitch, they can share their play in real-time, allowing their viewers to share in on the highs of big wins and lows of losing sessions.

An (Un)sustainable Business Model?

As everybody in their right mind will tell you, playing casino games of any kind is always a losing proposition as the house eventually wins without exception. This means that regardless of any individual session, every time a casino streamer sits down to play, they’re effectively losing money. The higher the stakes they play, the bigger the loss.

This naturally begs the question how it is possible for these streamers to keep doing what they’re doing and not go broke. In fact, they’re clearly earning some money from it as well, as it is hard to believe anyone would spend dozens of hours of the week doing something that doesn’t earn them any money.

The answer is fairly simple and it is affiliation. While doing their streams, casinos streamers will promote particular gambling sites they play at, encouraging others to try their luck as well. In return for this, casinos will pay streamers either a flat fee per every player they bring in or a percentage of the player’s lifetime losses, usually on a monthly basis.

And, while some see this practice as unethical, casino streaming is just another, new form of marketing. As long as streamers are open about what they’re doing and don’t try to deceive their players into believing they’ll always win, there is no real problem.

Biggest Casino Streamers

These days, there is a fairly large number of casino streamers as there are many people trying to get involved with what seems to be a rather lucrative business proposition. In addition to this, playing casino games for a living is really a lot of fun.

CasinoDaddy is easily the biggest gambling channel on Twitch. They stream consistently and almost every day without exception. Other popular streamers on Twitch include the likes of LetsGiveItASpin and linneafly, a Norwegian casino streamer who particularly enjoys playing norske spilleautomater, i.e. Norwegian slot machines.

Over on YouTube, there are some of the same streamers as on Twitch as well as some who stick only to streaming and uploading content on YT such as The Bandit, JimboCasino, and Craig’s Slot Sessions.
The post Is Casino Streaming the New Muk Bang? first appeared on Blog Bloke Tips.

Gambling in Canada has always been one of the more popular pastimes. Although the Canadian Government was anti-gambling for a long time, in the 1960s the jurisdiction was transferred to provinces and from that point on things started to change for the better.

When it comes to online gambling, however, it still belongs to what could be best defined as a grey area. There is some confusion as to whether it is legal to gamble at online casinos accepting Canadian players, so that’s the first thing we need to tackle.

Canadians Don’t Break Any Laws Gambling Online

According to regulations currently in place, there is nothing in Canadian law that would make it illegal for Canadians to place sports bets or play casino games at any site of their choosing. The law only deals with gambling operators and prohibits them from setting up shop in Canada.

However, if an online casino is willing to accept Canadians, there isn’t much the country’s government can do about it as most online casinos are registered in liberal jurisdictions where they have a rather wide scope of rights. And, since it is not illegal for Canadian citizens to play at these sites, you have no reason to fear any repercussions.

Choosing a Canadian Online Casino

If you’re looking for a place to play at from Canada, you’ll find there are many great casinos offering their services to Canadians. Things to look out for are the usual ones: make sure your chosen casino is licensed by a trustworthy global organization, check out their welcome bonus and the VIP program, and read through some user reviews to get a real idea.

The bottom line is Canadian players have a really wide selection available to them, so it gets down to what you are after. Those interested in getting started with a good free spins bonus can visit this site. This will give you a chance to try and get lucky without having to risk any of your hard-earned money.

Other things to consider when choosing your site include the ability to deposit, play, and withdraw in CAD, as well as a local support phone number for Canadian players. Although these aren’t hugely relevant to some players, there are quite a few casinos offering all of these conveniences as a package deal.

Online Casino Deposits & Withdrawals in Canada

The only thing that complicates things for Canadian players to an extent is the ability to move money to and from their casino accounts. Since the government isn’t too keen on offshore casinos accepting Canadians, many banks block transfers to and from online gambling operators. The same applies to major e-wallets like Skrill and NETELLER, which no longer process gambling-related transfers for Canadian account holders.

Luckily, there are still ways for you to make deposits and cashout your winnings. Citadel is one of the most popular methods used for online gambling in the country and it only requires a bank account. ClickandBuy is another convenient banking option Canadian players can use for online casino transfers. Finally, some Visa and MasterCard holders will be able to use their cards without any fuss for these purposes, although the success rate is far from 100%.

To wrap it up, online gambling in Canada isn’t illegal and you’re allowed to choose from a number of online casinos accepting Canadian players. As long as you have a safe and reliable method to transfer money to and from an online casino, you have nothing to worry about.
The post Online Gambling in Canada: Getting Started first appeared on Blog Bloke Tips.

So my question is do you use tags on your blog, and if so do you understand the purpose of tagging?

A brief background: I was talking to a fellow the other day, and after doing a simple review of his blog I had mentioned that his usage of tags needed work. He had for example 19 tags on one post and I suggested that he needed to rethink how he was using tags.

His response was – “I know I am supposed to use tags, but I just don’t get it”.

I believe that many people are going through the same problem and not getting it. They know they need to use tags, but they are not sure how to do it or even why they are supposed to use them.

Enter BLOGBloke!

I decided to tweet a question to BLOGBloke about tags, asking him to explain to me what tags were, and here was his response:

Could the answer be this simple?

When you understand what categories and tags achieve then the answer is a resounding yes! The fact is when you use categories and tags on your blog, you are helping your readers and the search engines find your content quickly and easily. Understanding how search engines rank blogs makes this even more important.

Translate — it is a great organizational tool.

Have you ever been to a blog where you look at the sidebar and see a huge list of tags? (Editor’s note: otherwise known as a tag cloud.) If there are many, do you spend most of your time browsing the tags/categories and hardly reading any of the posts?

Then I would say that is a good example of not using tags or categories to the best effect. It is one of the common mistakes that can turn readers off from your blog.

While there is a lot of information on the net regarding tags and even categories, for the purpose of this blog lesson I want to keep everything as simple as possible.

Lets start with Categories…

When you set up your blog, consider your categories as topics within your niche. For example if your blog niche is about “pets” (which is a popular topic for many people), what would you want to write about?

When you think of your blog categories as a road map for people to easily see, then you will realize how important and useful categories really are. For the purpose of this example (a blog on pets) I might consider using these main categories:

Pets

Dogs

Cats

Birds

This is where it gets interesting!

Your tags are those short snippets of information that are within the blog post itself that pertain to the topic or category that you are writing about.

The best part of using tags within a blog post is that anyone searching for information can easily find it by clicking on those tags. Every post you have ever written using a specific tag will show up on a new page.

Let’s go back again to our example of having a pet blog, and I am writing many posts about dogs (the category). Within those posts I might consistently write about things like “dog video“, “dog grooming“, “aging dogs“, “taking care of puppies“, etc.

Now imagine readers searching for “dog videos” for example, and finding post after post about this subject all on one page? Talk about convenient!

The fact is using tags on a blog is a very useful tool to help you and your readers keep organized.

There are those who will say that tagging is useless because you have archives. To answer this, go through your own archives and what do you see? You will see everything set to dates, but nothing to pinpoint anything specific.

The same can be said for going through categories. Yes, you will see everything written about the general topic (going back to our example blog about dogs) but nothing about “dog videos” or “aging dogs“ or — Tag .. Your IT!

Talk about finding the forest for the trees.

Check out BLOGBloke’s blog tips niche that he created. Click on blog tips and you will see what I mean. Are you seeing the bigger picture now?

How many tags should a person use on any blog post?

While I am sure there are many differing opinions, it is my belief that when using tags less is more. When you think about what you want to get known for (i.e. your niche) and when you think as BLOGBloke does that tags are like subcategories, then you will have an easier time deciding what you will want to use as a tag and what is useless.

Always remember that one of the big reasons why you are blogging is to become known in whatever field you choose to talk about (niche). Using tags properly will help you not only with the search engines, but will help your readers as well.

One last thought – when you are ready to tidy things up, our guide to spring cleaning your blog covers tag management in detail. Also, there is such a thing as blog tag spam. Tag spam is when people use an excessive number of tags OR unrelated tags to a post in order to attract viewers ... PLEASE DON’T DO IT! You will only hurt yourself.

Questions:

1. There are many plugins that automatically look for tags. Do you have a favorite, or do you prefer to manually put in tags on your own?

2. How will you look at tags in the future?

Class dismissed!
The post Your Lesson Today is on Blog Tags first appeared on Blog Bloke Tips.

Can you really be a top blogger .. an authority in your blog niche without writing often? That is the question this article will answer once and for all.

Here I go again blowing another blog myth out of the water. But I just can’t help myself. The more you read the more you will come across a recurring theme .. that writing often will make you into a blog authority and get you on the first page of the SERPS (search engine results pages).

Well if that was really true then why am I consistently on the first page for Google in my blog niche (right now I’m hovering around number 3) and get consistent traffic despite only writing one or two posts a month? (That’s a rhetorical question).

I never bought into the hype and I always suspected that it was really just an excuse to plagiarize/paraphrase other people’s content and saturate Google with recycled crap and pass it off as their own work. Well I still believe that so I decided to run a little experiment. But more about that later.

I realize that by writing this post I am going against so-called conventional wisdom in some marketing circles (something that I’m known for) and if you have been reading me for very long you will know that my priority is about ethical blogging and telling the truth rather than just making money (although I like to make money too).

Certain probloggers will tell you to plagiarize/paraphrase content often (they call it writing in a “different voice“) to become an authority. I call it BS blogging — no different from the wrong way to curate content — and we are seeing the results of this misguided advice with the thousands of pseudo “experts” turning the web into a cesspool of recycled content.

They are just copying content and passing it off as their own thinking the more crap they throw at Google will somehow manipulate their way to the top. Hell, most of them don’t even link to original sources either.

The older you get the more you start to realize that nothing is really that simple and you can’t take everything you read or hear on face value. Sooner or later you have to learn to think for yourself and the simple fact is you can’t BS your way into being an authority.

Monkey See, Monkey Do.

It’s a reason why I hardly ever read so-called a-listers, and when I do I’m usually disappointed. To tell you the truth I don’t know why there’s even an “a-list” anymore.

They have bought into the propaganda that they have to produce drivel every day to feed the search engines to stay on top. Heck, some even blog when they’re supposedly on vacation.

It’s stupid. They’re wasting their time, but even more importantly they’re wasting the readers’ time and leading them down the path to nowheresville.

Nowheresville? Yes nowheresville, because their minions fervently read them hoping to become rich and famous like their mentors supposedly are (and I stress “supposedly” .. but that’s another story).

The end result is we now have thousands of idiot copycat bloggers producing mind-numbing drivel and/or plagiarizing/paraphrasing other writer’s content.

Take my niche for example. I wouldn’t call rewriting common help files “blog tips“. Blog Tips are supposed to provide new and valuable information that isn’t readily known out there.

It’s called adding value to the community. Not just exploiting it.

Definition of Authority:

“An expert whose views are taken as definitive”

An authority means exactly what it says .. an expert who actually knows what they are talking about.

Can you really fake it till you make it? Somehow I don’t think so. If you fall into the category of pseudo “expert” sooner or later your grovelling fans that you BS’d will be onto you and realize the phony that you really are. When that happens they will move on.

Of course some won’t care because they know there will be another slew of newbies coming along to replace them who will happily click on their ads and buy their useless ebooks.

BUT to those who have a little more character and a desire to be genuine, heed my advice and stop BSing .. and start LEARNING. STOP polluting the BlogoSphere into a BSphere.

Welcome to My Blogging Experiment:

The results are in! There’s an old saying “the proof is in the pudding“. Well in my case the proof is in the the blog.

I’m living proof that you don’t have to BS your way into a position of authority. Just BECOME the authority and you do that by learning, not pretending.

I spend at least 90% percent of my online time reading and learning, and with the incredibly fast-pace of technology the learning never ends. Believe me.

Learning is the Path to Becoming an Authority:

They say that meditation is the path to enlightenment. Well I say learning is the path to becoming an authority.

Stop being lazy and learn. You have to put the effort in and pay your dues, and if you don’t have anything intelligent to add to the conversation then stop link-baiting us or trying to game Google … and shut it.

Strong word yes, but nevertheless necessary. Follow my example — not the probloggers. The Bottom Line is you don’t need to fake your way to the top.

BLOGBloke MythBusters Strikes Again!

There are two important things to remember here (which is what I have been saying all along).

Writing often isn’t the only ticket to the top spot on Google.

What is more important (if not the most important) is writing original content. Quality, not quantity. For more on this topic, check out our thoughts on how long a blog post should really be.

The reality is nobody can consistently write quality, original content every day without recycling OBC (other blogger’s content) or sacrificing quality. It’s just not possible.

Period.

Of course if you are one of the rare individuals who can write quality, original content fairly often .. it can’t hurt. But you don’t have to .. and that’s the point. There’s no pressure to cheat or pollute the web to become an authority.

BECOME THE AUTHORITY:

So stop padding your resume with BS and spend more time learning .. and BE THE AUTHORITY you always wanted to be. And give credit where credit is due (also known as hyperlinking). We will all be the better for it.

The next time you find yourself re-writing that Google FAQ file or pilfering someone’s archives, think twice before hitting the publish button because we know where you got the information from.

You’re only fooling yourself. Or at least be honest and link to the original source.

At this stage in the game I’m not under any self-delusion that I’m going to change the mind of all the cheaters out there on my say so. In the end the temptation to cheat and make money usually wins over ethics. But I’m sure there are like-minded readers who agree with me, at least on an ethical basis.

So let’s get to the bottom line for this post shall we…

Tah Dah! The Proof is in the Blog:

There’s a reason why I haven’t been blogging much over the past year or two. I wanted to prove to myself what I’ve suspected all along, so I used my own blog as an experiment.

I wanted to see if I could achieve good results on Google without writing content, and it worked.

I have consistently been on the first page of Google and hardly blogged at all!

That’s proof enough for me.

As you can see I’m not doing too badly. I’m sure if I really wanted to I could be number #1 (again). But to tell you truth I don’t really care anymore. I’m not greedy, and my niche has been so corrupted by the copycats that it hardly seems worth the effort.

So the next time your guru tells you to keep pumping out the drivel .. tell him or her to come over here and be enlightened.

P.S.: Want to know how I managed to stay on top and get consistent traffic without writing that often? Believe me there’s a lot more to blog SEO than just throwing crap at Google. You might want to start with these killer ways to get free traffic to your blog. But you will have keep reading for that…
The post Will Writing Often Really Help Your Blog Authority? first appeared on Blog Bloke Tips.
