During the exhibitiona visitors could vote for the best photograph. 2040 visitors take part in the voting, and there were 2012 valid votes. First three places are as follows:

1st place – Adam Oryszak from Piła

2nd place – Krzysztof Zieliński from Warsaw

3rd place – Andrzej Pilewski from Warsaw

The winner will get aviation bag and year subscription of Just Fly Magazine. Same prizes will get author of the best photograph chosen by the publisher of the magazine. Rest will get half year subscriptions of the Just Fly Magazine. Prizes are founded by the Just Fly Magazine Group s.c. Organizer of the exhibition – Institute of Aviation founded for all of the exhibitors special prizes – jubilee albums, which are presenting the history of the Institute of Aviation. Five participants of the voting will also get those albums, and the winners are:

On 29th of June 2011, was held a first session of re-elected Science Council of the Institute of Aviation. During the session occasional diplomas were handed for the members of the council, and for those, who were chosen on 26th of May 2011 in the poll among all employees of the Institute of Aviation.

Between 4 – 5 of June 2011 in Prudomat in France, were held tournament of Italian round of the European Champions Cup in hoovercrafts. Poland was represented in four start formulas, who were supported by polish fans. Polish team finished 1st in formula N. Institute of Aviation was supporting polish teams and their appearance in the tournament.

17th of June 2011 at 18:00 o’clock in Warsaw, was held grand opening of the exhibition „Flew over clouds”, on which were presented artistic photographs about aviation. Event was a part of this years 85th Jubilee of the Institute of Aviation. Exhibition lasts from 16th to 26th June 2011 in the exhibition hall of the University of Warsaw Library.

Between 16 – 26 of June 2011, in exhibition hall of the Warsaw University Library near Dobra 56 street, lasts exhibition under title “Wzlecieli ponad chmury”. Exhibition presents artistic photographs about aviation and is a part of this years 85th Jubilee of the Institute of Aviation. GRand opening was held 16th of June 2011 at 18:00 o’clock. 30th of June, professor Jerzy Merkisz received title of doctor honoris causa from senate of the University of Bielsko-Biala. Title was also supported by senates of Warsaw University of Technology, Lublin Unversity of Technology, Kielce University of Technology and Akademia Marynarki Wojennej. His promoter was professor Kazimierz Romaniszyn and reviewers professors Andrzej Teodorczyk and Leszek Piaseczny. Congratulations!

27th of May 2011 at the Legions Fort in Warsaw, Gala and Great Jubilee ball was held because of 85-th anniversary of the Institute of Aviation.

During the gala, medals and statues were handed to the most honorable employees of the Institute of Aviation, as well as present and former directors. In the less official part, guests could eat specials of the Mediterranean and Polish cuisines, and watch dance performances. There were also concerts of Warsaw Philharmonic String quartet, El Trio Chikiboom, The Bumelants and Natalia Kukulska.

26th May 2011, Election of the members to the Scientific Council of the Institute of Aviation was held. Among seventeen candidates, employees of the Institute of Aviation chosen eight who will sit in the Scientific Council for the next term from 2011 to 2015.
Results of the election (first eight candidates will be a members of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Aviation).
