Our full staff will be present to answer any questions you have and help get you started down the path to your new career! IOTM's Financial Aid Administrator will also be available to help guide you in the FASFA process. Let’s face it, times are tough. Currently, the unemployment rate in Ohio is 8.8%. This dismal stat doesn’t apply to Massage Therapists, however. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of Massage Therapists is expected to increase by 19% by the year 2018, which is faster than average, related to other occupations. The reason for this growth is partially due to the growing demand of massage and also the increased acceptance of massage therapy as beneficial and therapeutic. The number of resorts and spas is rapidly increasing, workplaces are adding massage therapists to distinguish themselves as employee-friendly and older citizens in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities are also now benefiting from massage.

Ask Before you Decide- What is accreditation & why is it important?

Accreditation is like a difficult test that requires every part of a school and the school’s program to be examined by experts. If the school and program passes this test, it means you can trust that the school provides an excellent curriculum and instructors.

Be sure to be informed- not all accreditation is created equal! Prospective students need to be aware of their school’s accreditation standards! Make sure the massage school you choose is accredited by a reputable accreditor. Remember, even if the INSTITUTION is accredited, that does not necessarily mean the school’s PROGRAM is accredited!

IOTM is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools. ABHES is the ONLY accrediting agency that examines both the Institutional and Programmatic capacities of massage schools.

At IOTM, we want to make your life-altering decision an easy one! We offer, for those who qualify, a PELL and FSEOG Grant, which you NEVER have to pay back. We also offer, for those who qualify, Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans. The government gives you a six-month grace period after you graduate to begin repayment on these loans. To start the Financial Aid process, simply go to www.fasfa.gov and fill out the FASFA application.

Our State Board Licensing Exam results just came in & our graduates represented us extremely well!
15 of the 16 students sent to State Exam passed!

I was asked, “what does your typical student look like?” It made me reflect on just who they are and what makes them so successful. Well let’s see… we have students who enter our school with a GED, we also have students with Master’s Degree, that’s interesting... We also have students right out of High School and retired truck drivers, that’s interesting… We have working Moms, working Dads, some of them raising their family as a single parent, that’s interesting… We have unemployed and displaced workers. We have ministers, probation officers, waitresses, factory workers, nurses and students who live with their parents. We even have students who attend our school full time and another college full time as well. WOW that is all interesting!

All in all, our students look just like you!!!
