New Beta Auction Site

Although we have not been posting too many updates on our blog, we have been very busy at Integrity Exports. Subscribers to our newsletter will have been kept up to date with all of the worldwide car export news.

One area we have invested a lot of time is in building the new incarnation of our website. Many of our customers tell us how they like the user friendliness of our current auction system, we have built on this further to make sure you have all the features you love, but also added some improvements that we hope you will love.

Why have we done this?

We wanted to build improvements in performance
We wanted to deliver security enhancements
We wanted to be able to develop more rapidly in the future

What features have we added?

Password-less login
Faster recent examples lookups
Chat functionality on current bids
Faster shipment based invoices

If you would like access to the website then please let us know. If you have signed up before July 2025 you should already have access and can login here: https://auth.integrityexports.com.

If would like to revert to the existing auction system, you will be able to for several months by accessing: https://auction.integrityexports.com/start. Your logged in state should still be honoured.

However we would love to hear your feedback. If there is something you are not getting on with well on the new beta site, then we will be glad to fix it. We look forward to hearing from you.

Obon 2019 Integrity Exports’ Schedule

Obon is a Japanese holiday in mid-August, and a lot of Japanese businesses will shut down at this time -- including the Japanese car auctions.

This is how the schedule looks for Obon 2019:

August 10 This is the last day of auctions before Obon starts.

August 12 to 16 inclusive All Japan's car auctions are closed on these days.

August 17 This is the first day of auctions after Obon, but the number running will be fewer than usual.

August 19 and beyond All auctions will be back to normal schedule from this point

Please also bear in mind that other providers we use will also be taking time off during the same week. So, for example, if you buy a vehicle just before Obon, you may find it takes a bit longer to get to the port than it would usually.

Golden Week Schedule 2019

The start of May is a special time in Japan: Golden Week, a string of public holidays when Japanese people like to get out and travel. But this year it is even more special, as it marks the end of one imperial reign, and the start of the next.

Right now, we are in Heisei year 31, but from May 1, we will be in the new imperial year Reiwa 1, with the coronation of a new emperor, the current emperor's eldest son.

As a result, this year Golden Week will have an even sparser auction schedule than usual:

Monday, April 29 -- JU Tokyo running, all other auctions closed
Tuesday, April 30 -- All auctions closed
Wednesday, May 1 -- All auctions closed
Thursday, May 2 -- All auctions closed
Friday, May 3 -- All auctions closed
Saturday, May 4 -- All auctions closed

Our suppliers, such as transport companies, customs brokers, shipping agents etc, will also all be closed during that week. As a result, our offices will also be closed for this period and we will not be able to respond to emails etc. in the timely way that we usually do.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but with our suppliers also closed, we cannot take any action during this time anyway.

2018 Obon Japan Car Auction Schedule

So, after a baking July with record temperatures in Japan, we are now about to dive into what is usually the hottest month of the year.... Yikes!

But, this is also the month in which the Japanese also have their traditional summer break called Obon - a chance for everyone to go somewhere cooler, perhaps?

This is how this year's Obon is going to work out at the auctions:

August 10 (Friday) -- vast majority of auctions running normally
August 11 (Saturday) -- vast majority of auctions running normally
August 13 (Monday) -- all auctions closed
August 14 (Tuesday) -- all auctions closed
August 15 (Wednesday) -- all auctions closed
August 16 (Thursday) -- all auctions closed
August 17 (Friday) -- a few auctions open
August 18 (Saturday) -- half the auctions open and half closed
August 19 (Monday) -- all auctions open
August 20 (Tuesday) -- a number of minor auctions closed
August 21 and beyond -- back to normal schedule

Our office schedule will also be following the auction schedule. When the auctions are all closed, we will be taking a break. When there are a few auctions on, we will be doing some work. So, please check the schedule if you are wondering why you aren't getting the usual quick responses from us!

Now, it isn't just the auctions that take a break in the summer. Shipping company offices, public offices, transport companies -- this is a time when all Japanese people take their summer break. So what that means is that this can introduce delays in our ability to get things done for you. Even if we are available, our suppliers may not be. For example, if you buy a vehicle in the run-up to the Obon holiday, there may well be an extra delay in preparing it for shipping.

Golden Week Schedule 2018

We are fast approaching the Golden Week vacation period here in Japan, so here is the schedule. First of all for the auctions ...

April 30 (Monday) -- most auctions running as usual
May 1 (Tuesday) -- only JU Saitama running / all others closed
May 2 (Wednesday) -- only BayAuc and IAA Osaka running / all others closed
May 3 to May 6 -- all auctions closed
May 7 (Monday) -- only Nissan Osaka running / all others closed
May 8 (Tuesday) -- all main auctions running / about 1/4 of the auctions are closed
May 9 (Wednesday) -- from this day everything is back to normal

As for Integrity Exports ...

April 30 (Monday) -- open as usual
May 1 (Tuesday) -- open as usual
May 2 (Wednesday) -- open as usual
May 3 to May 6 -- closed (email and phone also unavailable)
May 7 (Monday) -- open as usual
May 8 (Tuesday) -- open as usual
May 9 (Wednesday) -- open as usual

Our other suppliers such as transport companies, shipping companies, Japan-side customs brokers etc will all be having all or most of the business week April 30 to May 4 off and their offices will be closed as a result.

So, please bear in mind that, even if our offices are open and we are responsive, that does not mean that our suppliers are available and working, so you may need to wait until after they come back after Golden Week before we can get a response from them.

Also, the fact that transport companies take a break could result in a short extra delay in your vehicle bought just before or during Golden Week getting to the port. These things are outside our control, so thank you for your patience.

Japan Car Auction New Year 2017 / 2018 Schedule

As you know, we are approaching the end of the year, which means that things will start winding down soon. So, without further ado, here are the details of the Japanese car auction schedule for the end of 2017 and start of 2018:

The rest of this week the auctions will be running as usual, right the way through the end of Saturday.

December 25 -- all auctions running as usual.
December 26 -- 60 percent of the auctions running, 40 percent closed.
December 27 -- 50 percent of the auctions running, 50 percent closed.
December 28 -- 80 percent of the auctions are closed but major auction USS Tokyo is running.
December 29 to January 4 -- all auctions closed, and many of our suppliers closed (including shipping companies). We will not be available via email, Skype, or phone at this time.
January 5 -- 1 auction running, all the other auctions closed.
January 6 -- 60 percent of the auctions closed, but major auction HAA Kobe is running.

From January 8, 2018 all the auctions will be running as normal.

We find that we sometimes pick up some great deals for customers at this time of year when other people are taking a break, or importers overseas are too caught up with Christmas and New Year celebrations to pay attention. It's always worth keeping your eye on what is coming up in the auctions -- you never know what you may find!

It has been great serving you in 2017. We are looking forward to serving you in 2018 as well.

Japan Car Auctions Obon Vacation Schedule 2017

Japan is heating up as we approach the middle of summer. The cicadas are making their voices heard ... and the mosquitoes making their bites felt. All of which means we must be approaching the Obon summer vacation.

The final auctions before the summer break will be on August 12.

Then the first auctions after the break will be held on August 17.

Please note that our suppliers will also be closing down at this time as well, so if you need assistance, bear in mind that we will not be able to help you until August 17.

Honda S660 Alpha In The Japanese Car Auctions

This has to be one of my favorite modern Hondas -- the S660. The only problem is that it's too small for me to get in comfortably! Check out this very clean grade 4.5 example at auction in Japan this week.

Japan Car Auction Schedule For Golden Week 2017

We are almost at the Japanese holiday period called Golden Week, so how is this going to affect the car auctions in Japan?

Here is the schedule for Golden Week 2017:

May 1 = all auctions are closed
May 2 = all auctions are running
May 3 = only IAA is running, all other auctions are closed.
May 4 = only HAA Osaka (Hanaten Osaka) is running, all other auctions are closed.
May 5 = all auctions are closed
May 6 = all auctions are closed
May 8 = auction schedule is back to normal
