Sitting here thinking I should be productive but I just don't wanna, so I figured I would swing by and share some layouts with great kits that have been released this week.

This one is done using 100% me by Val C. Designs at Zig Zag Scraps

DH would so hate this one with his photos and flowers, but it's my page, right? LOL It's done with the gorgeous new kit, Cherish by ViVa Artistry at The DigiChick.

Some of Chance's artwork..This was done with Art is Freedom by Litabells Designs at Scrap Orchard and Gimme Layers Lite Vol 12 by Cluster Queen Creations.

This is such a fabulous fabulous kit...Brand new from Etc by Danyale - Game Night - at The DigiChick

This kit is so pretty and it was a freebie from Secret Stash on her FB page a while back. I also used Gimme Layers Vol 23 by Cluster Queen Creations at The DigiChick.

Hey, hey!!

Well, two weeks back at work and I am wiped out! Not sure what a whole week will be like hahaha. We've had the wildest winter here this year..not that I'm complaining one little bit! Today it was 65 degrees! That is the kind of winter I can handle. Two days ago it was like 20 and had snowed...strange indeed. I wouldn't mind if it would do this all winter. Little snow here and there and then go right back to warm haha.

Anyway, thought I'd pop in today and share some layouts that I've done in the last week or so. There is surely some gorgeous stuff that has been released this week!! Click the images for full credits and where to find these great kits!!

These two were done with a great new kit by Dawn by Design at The Digichick...love these colors!!

This one uses a template by Queen of Hearts called Peppermint Patti

This one is using a fabulous new set of templates from Cluster Queen Creations - Stacked N Clustered. I just love love all her templates!

This layout is done using a gorgeous new kit from Etc by Danyale called myHeart...available at TDC!

This one is done using the new Boutique Collab at TDC called The Daily Details. I'm hoping it will be the cover for a 2012 album :)

And last but certainly not least is the awesome new kit from Litabells Designs at Scrap Orchard called Handmade Home...wonderful elements :)

This one also uses Stacked N Clustered templates by Cluster Queen Creations at TDC.

Back again today because I wanted to share the deep love I have for Pinterest!! I could literally lose hours there browsing, pinning, being inspired. Now mind you, I am not the least bit crafty...not one little bit! As a matter of fact, the thoughts of it usually make me twitchy and give me little anxiety attacks. BUT since I joined Pinterest, I am finding that maybe there is a little craftiness buried in there somewhere. I have tried a few things I have found on there and actually enjoyed doing it!

I did these sugar scrub jars for Christmas gifts for coworkers because of something I saw there (and I actually did a larger version for some family members):

My latest project is a scarf idea made from a couple of t-shirts I found one day for $1 each. The original pin was done in all one color, but I thought it would be fun to try it in my fav colors...WVU blue and gold...since they are playing in the Orange Bowl tomorrow night. I will be proudly sporting my scarf for the day tomorrow!!

If you haven't checked out Pinterest, I can't recommend it highly enough. I even have the app on my phone so that when I shut it down for the night on the PC, I can go lay in bed and browse a little more :) Looking forward to seeing what other craftiness just might be inside me! I'm baaaaack!! Here's my first attempt at keeping up with this blog! Just a couple of things I wanted to share today! Is anyone out there attempting a P365/52, Project Life, anything of the sort? I am going to attempt P365 again this year, we'll see how it goes LOL I have tried for the last 3 years and haven't made it all the way through yet. But I do have some great photos from those years, so not a total failure :) I'll try to add a link to where I'm posting my pictures the next time I come by here. I'm also going to have a go at a great project called Tell Your Story Every Day. It seems to be the best fit for me and sounds like it's going to be so much fun!! I hope it will help me with my journaling. That's the one area I really struggle with...I know what I'm thinking when I create a layout, but no one else does...or the story behind it. I used it to create an album cover...let's hope I make it past the cover hahaha

Bad, bad blogger I am!! Here we are, January 1st...well, actually 2nd now since it's after midnight...and I am really hoping to get back on track with my blogging. We'll see how it goes, I guess. You know what they say about the road being paved with good intentions!!

We had a really great holiday around here and as it winds down and work is summoning me again, it's time to get it in gear, get organized, and get sh** done!

Oh me, oh my!! Still not back in to any kind of a great routine like I had planned, but I'm thinking about it! That counts, right? :) Finding time for my scrappy life, which is my "me" time and I am so thankful to work with some of the best people in digi-land! I decided to not miss the chance this week to come along and show you some of the fabulous goodies arriving this week!!

Ohhh I guess I haven't mentioned that my guest spot at The Digi Chick ended as September started BUT I was asked to stay on as a permanent chick!! Yay!! The designers there are so amazing...it's a thrill to be able to work with all their gorgeous stuffs. This week is no exception. I didn't have a lot of time, but I did get to work with a fabulous Guest Designer this week: Dawn by Design and her latest Sunny School Year and Multitaskers templates! Here's my layout:

Back to work this week for me. I guess I can start the 180 day countdown to next summer vacation now haha. It was good, but wayyy too short as always. Chance starts 1st grade this year and is really excited. Morgan started school today and my baby girl is a Junior in HS *sigh*. We have only had work days so far, kids on Monday...but I am wiped out. I really need to get myself back in a schedule and routine!!

I did find some time this week to play with new goodies!!
The exciting news for this week is that Litabells is now exclusively at Scrap Orchard!! Weeee! Make sure you go and check out all that she is up to!! She has released Art is My Comfort in her shop there and I got to play with it again. This is my newest tattoo. It's on the inside of my left wrist and I got it at the beach as just a little reminder to myself :)

Etc by Danyale has an absolutely gorgeous new release today at The Digi Chick...oh my...what a wonderful kit. It is called Weathering the Blues and a must see!! Here's the layout I came up with

Also out today at The Digi Chick is Fleury by Wendy Page...I absolutely love the colors in this kit. I used it with a template from No Boys Allowed by Cluster Queen Creations...also out today at TDC!

And last but certainly not least...Are you ready? For some football that is!! It's what I love most about this time of year and Chelle's Creations at Scrap Orchard has a fabulous new kit out called Play the Game. Here's my layout with that one :)

Been a few weeks again...but I do have good intentions haha. We've been on vacation and now I am on crunch time before going back to work. I don't feel like I have accomplished 1/2 what I set out to accomplish...but I guess there's not much I can do about it now. Back to the grind on Monday!! And the 180 countdown begins again!!

Anyway, the main reason I am here is to show off something new that I'm trying. One of my fav designers - Litabells - has teamed up with Samara to bring Art Squared to life. Art journaling is something I've really admired for awhile...I've seen such talent. But it's never been something I thought I could do myself. My lack of patience and my ADD would cause me to have mini anxiety attacks at the thoughts of paints and stuff *shiver* but I looked around some and thought, well, I can give it a try digitally...see if I can make it work that way...THAT I can do :) So, I visited Art Squared, read the prompt, and off I went to create. Not sure it's all that great...but hey, I tried :)

Hey hey everyone! Still enjoying the summer and trying to squeeze as much fun in to it as I possibly can. I'm trying not to think about how many days are left...just gets me down. I so hate seeing summer come to an end. Got the grass mowed today before the worst of the heat wave moves in, so tomorrow and Friday can be pool days!!! I have scrapped my little heart out this summer and enjoyed every minute of it! I've got some awesome stuff to show you this week and I had so much fun playing with all of it. So here it comes, in no particular order LOL

First up....Etc by Danyale is releasing some awesome stuff at TDC today...You must check it out!

I worked with Old Garden and did this layout that I plan to submit for the Digi Dares this week. I love how it turned out. I am really working on my journaling!

Next up is a gorgeous collab from Litabells Designs and Sugarplum Paperie at The Digi Chick called Sunkissed

Here's my layout with this one :) I'm also working hard on scrapping some older photos of Aaron and Morgan. This was Morgan at a family reunion when she was about 4.

Next is an absolutely beautiful page by Wendy Page at TDC called Dreamy and it is indeed dreamy!!!

For this layout, I wrote a letter to my 16 year old daughter, Morgan...working on that journaling :)

For this layout, I also used a fabulous new template from Cluster Queen Creations called Gimme Words Vol 2:

Wow...ok, so I have so much new goodness to share with you today, I'm not going to bother with the small talk and get right to it!

Brand new today from the incredibly talented Danyale (Etc by Danyale) are two gorgeous new kits at TDC!

I used Russell's yard to scrap a photo of my DH when he was only about 3 years old :)

and I used Emilee's Room to scrap a photo of DD when she was about 4 :)

Still guesting at TDC this month and I absolutely love it there...everyone is so fabulous and the designs are just amazing. I worked with 2 kits and a template set this month and wowzers is all I can say. I have swooned over Cluster Creations templates for awhile now and this week she has her first digital kit in the store at TDC and it is gorgeous! Take a peek at A Whisper of the Ocean

Cluster Queen Creations also has a new template grab bag collaboration with Nikki Epperson out today at TDC as well!

I used one of these templates for another page for my parents...their 50th anniversary is Friday

My newest exciting news is that I am now a CTM for one of my all time favs - Litabells Designs...I so love her stuffs :)

That time of year when work is getting crazier, yard work has begun, and I am behind on all of it :) Not that I'm counting, but we only have 34 more school days and then it's summer vacation! WoooHooo!! I really just came here today to share some layouts. I am actually doing ADSR this year!! For those who don't know, that is the Amazing Digi Scrap Race...and it's been so much fun...well except for finding a chipmunk hahaha My fabulous partner is Danyale of Etc by Danyale...she is so uber talented!! We are team 95, Mimosa Mommas!! We weren't sure they'd let us get away with Hooker Hotties or something like that. Has it really been that long since I posted hahaha. So much for the doing better thing again! Funny how real life gets in the way of blogging sometimes. Not a whole lot going on, but it's getting to be crazy time at work and we've had a few nice days sprinkled in where we could get outside some. BUT I'm on the count down now to summer vacation WHEEEEEE!! I think we are just under 50 school days left...somewhere around 46 or 47 :)

In scrappy news...I didn't get here to announce this the other day, but Etc by Danyale is now at (drum roll please).......The Digi Chick!! Here to play catch up on some of the prompts I have missed :) I'm going to use the video I posted yesterday for Day 14 - A picture I love. It's too hard to choose one photo and right now that video sums up my little guy!

Day 15 - Bible Verse
One of my favorites is this one:

Day 16 - Dream House
I don't need a huge home...that's just more I have to clean LOL Give me a cute little house on the beach with a big porch and I'll be happy :) Here's an example

Day 17 - Something I am looking forward to
Ohhhhh that's easy - Summer Vacation!! Woot! One of the best reasons for being a teacher. I'm so ready for sun, fun, being outside!! Something that's coming a little sooner is the switch to Daylight Savings Time. I sooo love having the extra day light. Once the sun goes down, so does my energy...I get so much more done when the days are longer :)

Day 18 - Something I regret
Nothing. Without being too philosophical, I just believe that everything I have done, been, had happen to me has made me who I am today and led me where I am...and I like this place :) Are there things I might have done differently, sure...but I don't regret!

Day 19 - Something I miss
I miss my dog Jake. He was the best dog ever! When my daughter was about a year old and really starting to run around I had some back issues and couldn't chase her like I needed to, but Jake was always there when we played outside to put himself between her and harms way. If she started to take off, he would run and get in front of her and just sit down to stop her. He let the kids climb all over him but was always looking out for them. He would climb on my lap on the couch and snuggle with me (he was a lab/irish setter mix, but thought he was a lap dog) He was always close by and one of my closest companions. He just disappeared one day. I came home from work and he wasn't in his usual spot waiting for me. I never knew what happened to him :(

Day 20 - Nicknames
Well, this is a short post LOL Never really had any except Jan, short for Janice. My dad used to call me Pebbles when I was little, because mom would fix my hair in a little spout on top of my head like Pebbles from the Flintstones cartoon.

This was taken last summer at the beach :)

Day 13 - Goals

Ahhhh I've had quite a few goals in my life...some I've reached, some I haven't...some I probably never will, but I'm ok with that :) Here's a few that I have right now:

Move to the beach...been working on this one for a few years!
Get in fabulous shape before warmer weather
Blog regularly and document more of my kids lives, for myself and them
Make more money hahahaha...school budget cuts are NOT helping
Save more, spend less

There are more but those were the first few that came to mind :)

Yeah, yeah...I'm behind

Yep, I did it...let myself get behind. What can I say? Busy week, lots going on, and maybe a little laziness thrown in haha. I'm going to try to cram a few days in to this one post and catch myself up a little :)

Day 8 - A Place I've Traveled to
I've traveled quite a bit through the years...I love traveling and seeing new places. I've been to most states in the south east many many times. I took a trip to Sacramento, CA a few years back and make a few trips to IN every year. But I would say one of the most beautiful places I've been in the last few years has to be San Antonio, TX. My daughter and I went there about this time last year to see my oldest graduate from AIT at Fort Sam Houston. What a gorgeous place!! I loved it there and hope we get to visit there again soon!!

Another place I will never forget visiting is Mexico City and Acapulco. I made that trip as a senior in high school. We got to climb the pyramids outside Mexico City and visit Taxaco. which is known for its beautiful silver jewelry. But the best part was the 3 days in Acapulco on the beach, taking a glass bottom boat ride and going parasailing over Acapulco Bay. It was beautiful.

Day 9 - A Picture of My Friends
I don't have very many of my good friends, mostly because no one ever wants there picture taken LOL but here's a couple :)

Day 10 - Something I'm Afraid of
Ummmm Spiders!! Pictures of spiders, movies about spiders, the spiders themselves, anything spider-ish! I don't even like typing about them LOL so that's all I have to say about that! :)

Day 11 - Favorite TV shows
This one will be a short one, too because I really just don't watch tv at all. The only show I'm watching right now is American Idol. I watched it for a few seasons but didn't watch at all last year. The only reason I tuned in this year was..........

And I am loving the breath of fresh air he has added to the show...so great! I wasn't sure how he'd do, but I think he's fabulous!!

Day 12 - What I Believe
Oh my...what a long post this could be but I think I'll keep it basic.
I believe in respect
I believe in compassion
I believe in not judging others, you never know what they may be dealing with
I believe in living life to the fullest, being happy and positive
I believe in my children
I believe in myself

Okie Dokie...that catches me up on a few days anyway :) I'll try to get back on track tomorrow!

Happy Valentine's Day!! Here we go with Day 7 - Favorite Movies!

There are so many movies that I love...classics and current movies. But every time I get asked what my favorite movie is I have to say "Message in a Bottle".

What a great movie. I really didn't like Kevin Costner prior to this movie and made myself watch it when I saw that he was in it, but I have never had a movie just stay with me for days after I watched it like this one! Not to give away the ending if you haven't seen it, but omgosh, I just walked around for days saying "that was so wrong". But it really makes you think about love, and taking the opportunity to tell someone you love them while you have it!

Another couple of movies that just make me blubber like a baby....

Like I said, there are so many movies that I love...sometimes a great comedy is just what I need, sometimes sappy, sometimes there's nothing like a great horror movie (some of the old classics are the best). I don't think I could narrow it down to just a few. I keep reading others lists and think...oh yeah, I love that one LOL

Hope everyone has had a great Valentine's Day...I think it's time to head to bed with a sappy love story to fall asleep to :)

Day 5 & 6 - Recipes and Love

Hey, hey, hey! I'm going to combine days 5 and 6 since I got behind.

Day 5 - Recipes I love - oh wow...there are so many! I love to cook. I don't have a lot of time for it during the school year, at least not to do it the way I would like, so I have a few quick easy recipes that I use a lot! I think I will share a couple of those. I'm a huge fan of the crock pot and am always on the lookout for great crock pot recipes. Here's a couple that I use often:

Cube Steak Crock Pot:
1 lb Cube Steak
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1 envelope mushroom gravy mix
1 envelope onion gravy mix
1 onion (sliced)
3 C water

Flour and brown the cube steaks and lay them in the bottom of the crock pot. Add the sliced onions on top. Then add 2 C of the water. Cook on low for 8 hours. Mix the remaining cup of water with the gravy mixes and pour in for the last half hour of cooking.

Easy peasy, huh! And it is sooo yummy. The cube steak comes out so tender!

Chicken Crock Pot:
4 Chicken breasts
1 lg can Cream of Chicken or Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 sm can chicken broth

All I do is lay the chicken breasts on the bottom of the crock pot. Pour in the soup and chicken broth and let it cook on low for 6 hours or so. When it's done, shred the chicken in the soup. You can serve this over rice, noodles, or biscuits.

Another easy one, huh! My family loves both of these. I fix them both in the crock pot the night before and then just plug them in when I leave in the morning...done when I get home from work!

Day 6 - A picture of something that makes you happy - there are lots of things that make me happy...my children, sunshine, warmth...but since I post pictures of my kids and such all the time I'm going to go with something that makes me happy daily no matter what else is going on.....

Ahhhhhhh Mr. Keurig and I are having a torrid affair. He knows just how I like it and is always warm and inviting and never lacking in flavor!! :) I LOVE him!! I even have a smaller version that I take on vacation with me. I have decided that I could live without many things in my life, but not my Keurig! LOL

K..that's it from me for today. I'm going to shower and head out to wonderful WalMart (ugh) and try to get some relax time in today! Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend! We are supposed to hit 50 today, I'm so excited!

Day 4 - Your Parents

Oh wow...I could go on about this topic for days LOL!! My parents are so incredible! Just to start, my sister and I are both adopted...my parents didn't have any biological children. They told us from day 1 that we were adopted and that we were special because we were chosen :) They have both been there for me and my sister through everything from financial crisis to depression to divorce...always ready and willing to support us and help us in any way that they could! There are no 2 different people...it's so funny...they are the epitome of "opposites attract". My mom is very proper, an ettiquette queen, and grammar nazi. She has never been one to enjoy outdoorsy or risky adventures. She very seldom swears and is the kindest, sweetest person you will ever want to meet. She is so good to everyone she meets. My dad is a free spirit. He loves riding motorcycles, canoeing, hiking...anything adventurous and outdoorsy. He cannot sit still and is constantly on the move. He's the one that will sit at the dinner table and crack dirty jokes (just to make my mom cringe, I think LOL) or belch the alphabet. At 74 years old he is still running his own construction company and doing pharmacy work part time on weekends. He has more energy than I do at 45. Who am I most like? Without a doubt, my dad!! But with a little grammar nazi mixed in!

There are just not enough words to describe my parents. They are amazing people and I am so fortunate that they chose me!!!!
