I spent time each night listing all the people who had touched my life. Significant milestones and all the sweet and bitter memories through the years were recalled as I wrote down the names that flooded my thoughts. The experience of this remembering had a profound effect on me.
A year later, I was inspired to make my experience of December 2004 available to everyone, to create a tangible way for us to draw deeper within ourselves to remember each person who has had significance in our lives and send those souls love, light, healing and wholeness. The journals are meant to teach us that our thoughts and intentions have great power, and do indeed, as leading physicists confirm, positively impact the lives of others."
~ Jennifer Bachman ~

A socially conscious and earth-friendly company in Nepal handcrafts the Intent Heals Journal™. Being intimate with another human being's suffering and pain has engendered compassion, being witness to the indomitable strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity has engendered humility, and learning to listen to my heart and inner voice has ignited the passion and faith to walk a path of personal, interpersonal and global healing. The Intent Heals Journal™ began with my journey of being guided by Spirit to create a written record and pray for every person I had known.

In the past three years, the Intent Heals Journal™l has reached thousands through workshops, website sales, and working with non-profit organizations like Hospice to provide healing and forgiveness at the end-of-life. To expand the reach of the Intent Heals Journal and Intentional Healing, we have formed the Intent Heals Foundation and applied for tax exempt status so that we may raise funds to distribute the journals in prisons and to our soldiers and their families. The Foundation will also raise funds to complete the development of a Children's Educational Kit and program to teach students the value of community service and of our global interconnectedness.

Please check back for updates on the Foundation's activites.

About Us

In November of 2005, my friends Lisa Arick, Sally Atkins and I, created Indigo ~ Healing Community and launched the Intent Heals journal project. Our vision is for these beautiful hand-made journals to find their way into the hands of millions of people around the world. We know that with increased awareness of our global inter-connectedness through the use of this journal, combined with prayer and intentional healing, a dramatic shift in consciousness will occur.

For the past four years, I have been blessed to work with two of the most amazing, gifted, and loving woman. Their talents are reflected in every aspect of the journal project. As in any adventure, there is a time of parting and both Lisa and Sally are moving forward to pursue their own dreams and aspirations. With my blessing and sincere gratitude, I wish you the best and thank you for helping me birth the Intent Heals Journal.

Jennifer Bachman graduated with a Masters in Organizational Development and has devoted the last 28 years to the non-profit sector developing and managing programs, training, and consulting with grassroots leaders and small non-profits. Currently, Jennifer is devoting her time to growing Intent Heals. A gifted clairaudient, intuitive energy healer, and Reiki Master, Jennifer also works privately with individuals to assist them in their own healing journey. Jennifer is a graduate of the Stillpoint School of Integrative Life Healing and currently provides workshops and trainings on how to use the Intent Heals journal.

Gratitude

In gratitude and with heartfelt thanks to each who has contributed to the journey of the Intent Heals Journal™...

Meredith Young-Sowers, Liese Hilgeman, Rhonda Arick, Robin Lasek, Annie Fain, Marica Ghidina, Ed Warner, Carole Angermeir, Wilford Welch, Sandra Clark, Lynn Jackson, St. Luke's UMC Healing Ministries, Bill Jackson, Andy Johnston, Amy Hern, Jim Cota and Rare Bird, Leslie Moed, Elaine Voci, Ann Croce, Rose Van der Berg, Emily Connally, Joan Keddell, Angela Herrmann, Cecile Locke, Robert Locke, Judith Whitson, Susan Urquhart-Brown, Christopher Brown, Dana Cooper, Heather Hershberger, Vicki Mack, Mary Roth, Nima , Jeannie Jackson, Jeremy, Tim Rolfson, Sally Mahrdt, Daya Hamwi, Mary Titus, Louise Dunn, Barbara George, Michelle Verduzco, Karen Clothier, Diane Harmony, Amy Magan, Beverly Amado, Dave the photographer, Nikolas Atkins, S.B. The experience was very moving for all who participated. These are men who have often been marginalized by society, and even by their family members and friends. They have experienced rejection, prejudice, and hate. So particular emphasis was put upon the need to use the journal to bless and forgive those individuals who had hurt them in any way through the years.

Following the directions found on the insert of their journals, the retreatants began to write the names of all the people who have touched their lives. I noticed that several retreatants were becoming emotional; some cried while others looked amazed as they kept on entering names in their books. After some time had passes, everyone closed their journals and we spoke about the effect of this simple exercise. Most were surprised at how quickly names and faces of people long forgotten came to mind. Knowing that their intention was to bless and forgive as they wrote down each name and repeated the prayer"May you receive this blessing of love, light, healing and wholeness", many reported feeling a wave of healing grace and a lightness of heart come over them that was not anticipated.

Truly the Intent Heals Journals are just little books of beautiful paper. But when they are used with the intention to forgive, they can become a powerful tool of healing and release."

Louise Dunn, Professional Life Coach

Hi Jennifer, Sally and Lisa,
I spoke with Ann earlier today and she thought you might be interested in an update on our group experience. I had purchased a journal for the one member of our group who was not able to attend your workshop. Two weeks ago we met for our weekly class. In front of a roaring fire, we said some prayers, went into silent meditation and repeated the process of adding people to our journals. Again it was a very, very powerful experience. Our group has been together for more than 3 years and our energies are very compatible and complimentary. The sacredness of the experience was very strong and we have all been impacted by the journal in profound ways. Emotions flowed freely..smiles, tears and an occasional giggle.

I hope that your travels have taken you to some exciting places and as word spreads, I have no doubt that you will receive many stories that repeat our wonderful experiences.
Peace, gratitude, and light, Jeanne

Comments From Workshop participants - Deland, Florida 1/27/07

" Everyone I've ever met contributes to our healing and clarity, adding to the distilling purity of our essence"

" I was flooded with names - transcending time and situations"

" These journals are made with love"

" It's a total honoring of everyone's life, and our own lives"

" I was astonished that I wrote my own name down first. I wrote my childhood name, and then my father's last name and then my other last names - I've had several, so it became about embracing all the people I have been."

Testimonials

"Indigo's Intent Heals Journals bring the power of prayer to a wonderful new level. Each day I write in this small book the names of loved ones I want to remember as well as the places and people in the world where I want to direct special attention.

"It is meaningful to me that once having written with intention in my prayer book, I hold it between my hands each morning and know that my love is being directed to each and every person that I've named. I also know that because all prayer heals, the energy of my prayers move beyond the special people I'm praying for and adds to the powerful global energy of peace. We purchased prayer books for a Stillpoint fundraiser to support our women's healing programs, and every last book was sold. I'm certainly going to continue to buy them and share them. I urge every organization to use these special prayer books for their own fundraisers surely we need all of our prayers as we move from the old forms to the new forms in this world. A beautiful and meaningful way to share our prayers."

- Meredith Young-Sowers, D.Div
Director, Stillpoint Foundation and School
Author of: Wisdom Bowls, Angelic Messenger Cards and Agartha: A Journey to the Stars

"For years, I've been keeping a list of people I pray for on my altar. When I saw one of the Intent Heals Journals last spring, I knew it was perfect for this. Small, simple, easily rests on my altar, I can cup it within my hands for prayer and it travels well. I am part of a healing prayer group. When I get the monthly list of those asking for prayers, I tuck it into my journal so it is included in my daily prayers. I can continue to add people and situations to it as the need arises. I've also given it as a special gift to friends. Thank you for bringing this beautiful, meaningful simplicity into my life."

- With Appreciation, Cheryl C.
