BTW...I am having big time trouble
with my neuropathy...I've had capillaries break in both eyes several times in the last few weeks. This has never happened prior to Solvadi. ....Yesterday afternoon I was lying down reading and got big lightning bolt shot in my heart followed by a hot flash down my left arm...I saw stars and even think I may have passed out for a second or two...MAJOR stabbing stuff everywhere kept me up all night...One even in my dick...Yeow!!!

I was diagnosed with "No virus detected" after 32 days on Solvadi ...I'm on day 54 and had a CBC with viral load test today. I'm thinking if I come back with the same negative results, I may discontinue with the Solvadi ...Have you ever known anyone who dropped the protocol and stayed free of the virus? I'm hoping to live over 100 years and you are one of my pallbearers...

I have some clients who drop out and several who have relapsed as soon as they stopped treatment.

Almost all of them are people who used Peg Intron or Pegasus and people who have cirrhosis.

As far as neuropathy I have two clients who have used Sovaldi with a long history of neuropathy and both of them breezed thru treatment with no problems but both of them have never used interferon and neither of them have any cirrhosis. Both of them have been using my protocol for years and are very healthy.
Some of my other clients are having extreme difficulty after being clear.
Some have developed Pancreatitis, cancers, eyesight damage, a spacey feeling, sort of like brain fog to the extreme.
So far people who report negative side effects do not seem to show any sign of recovery.

So far, I see only a small amount of published information on side effects of Sovaldi. I suspect that may change over time.

What About Harvoni?

I have observed several clients in trials with Sovaldi and ledipasvir. Gilead combined the two and call it Harvoni.

The people setting up the trials went to great lengths to include only the healthiest people and exclude anyone who was not. Even anyone who may possibly have had negative feelings about the drug or negative feelings about life in general.

When they tested Harvoni in people with cirrhosis they chose the healthiest people with the best and brightest outlook on life. I know this as I have observed this for a few years from my client base. I have their lab work, I talk with them on the phone and email with them
frequently so I have a broad picture of how this all works.

The drug works great with few side effects known at this time if one has not used Peg Intron or Pegasus or has serious cirrhosis. Vision impairment is the number one negative side effect that concerns me the most. When altering the Nucleotide in the DNA chain with an HCV nucleotide analog NS5B polymerase inhibitor (Sovaldi) some alterations can occur in the brain and DNA which potentially could change many things. People with perfect vision report that the content of what they see is diminished, when coming indoors it takes an hour or more before they adjust to difference in light and often see yellow spots on white surfaces. The reporting of this begins about 1/2 way thru treatment and continues. No one has reported to me that this condition goes away. This vision condition appears to be prevalent only in people with perfect or near perfect vision. Also driving at night after using this drug becomes a serious issue. I suspect that it occurs in others but due to their already impaired vision they perhaps miss this and most are so overjoyed with being non detected that they miss some issues that they may come to notice later. Other negative issues are pancreatitis, Gilead cites about 2.6% and can land you in intensive care for 3 months or more. I see low platelets, low WBC, RBC, Low BUN and over time these numbers do not return to normal if one is in cirrhosis or if they used the various types of interferon, alpha 2B without time release factor excluded. Many people complain about other issues that do not resolve after treatment is stopped. Serious headaches requiring drug therapy is about 15%, fatigue
and I mean serious fatigue is reported at 14%.

I had one client who paid cash, his own money for 4 months of treatment, about $ 37.000.00 for 3 months and $ 57.000.00 for the 4th month and as soon as he stopped he relapsed. He had cirrhosis. Talk about a man that is pissed off...

Conclusion:
Overall Gilead's drug is terrific at curing the hepatitis C virus. But it seems to do nothing for the underlying conditions caused by the virus,
fibrosis, cirrhosis, Chronic fatigue, compromised immune systems auto immune disease, poor digestion and the list goes on.
I do see that people who have virtually no damage from hep c appear to heal completely.

A vast improvement over interferon.

Today, I get about one email every day or so from someone who says the same thing or something similar.

Got one yesterday from a man in Florida who spent his own money, $ 31000.00 a month for 3 months and one month was 57.000.00 as it made his platelets drop dramatically and they had to put him on more drugs, also, he now has crippling headaches all the time.

It seems that most people who have used Pegasus or peg intron do relapse the most and almost everyone with any stage of cirrhosis either relapse or is compromised seriously by the treatment.

They sure make it sound good in advertisements and in the media.

I am very sorry the new drug did not work.

My name is John and I'm a 61 yr old male. I contracted Hep c from a transfusion when I was 17 yrs old. About fifteen years ago the disease started attacking my liver. I'm stage 4 cirrhosis and pretty sick. I've taken the "cure" twice now and have been a non-responder. Last summer I took the Insivic cocktail and after 10 weeks into the specified twelve week period I broke out into a rash that nearly killed me. I'm just now after a year feeling more normal, except for the pain and discomfort. I'm scheduled to take the "next" new cure next spring, but, I'm not doing it. I will never again take Interferon or any other chemical. I'm really angry about American medicine and the lack of common sense and compassion.

My insurance company decided that they didn't want to pay for another round @ $20K per week for the meds so they raised my rates to the point that I had to cancel.

I believe in what you are doing and I'm very thankful for your guidance and wisdom. I want to take charge of my situation and I want your help. I'm ordering a couple of your books and I'm sure I'll have questions. I'm wanting to start on your programs asap and get to work immediately on lowering my viral load. Up till now I've listened to the docs and I've done all the wrong things, including the hep b vaccine two years ago and I took Nexium for several years. DANG!!!

I was on pegintron alfa 2b back in Jan. 2002, started post problems shortly afterwords . Became so bad could not work an 8 hour day back in 2006 . I have been watching some of the interviews you have on youtube WOW , by the interest from Attorneys on this matter I thought I was the only one having these medical problems and gave up looking years ago.now to date can't hardly walk anymore most days .

I was so amazed in the interviews you did with the gentalman in Colorado , we could be twins in this medical mess . I keep telling my wife my loss of memory is just old age when I know it's from that poison they put in me years ago . I wish that I would have never gone on that drug.

I did not have any symptoms from Hep-C . I can say I worked 50 - 84 hours a week prior to the drug to for at least 3 years forced myself to do an 8 hour day , thats with a nap at lunch . Now after all these years I am seeing that I am not the only person that had these medical issues , and all the bullshit from the doctors were more than likely told to me just so they would not be pulled into a law suite against their God Fathers the drug manufactures .

I do have a law firm in Texas that is statring some sort of suite , but then again may drop it like the others . I could be nasty and think they took some sort of finacial gain from droping the suites, but that would be just down right mean :-) . My liver function #'s are normal (AST AND ALT). My viral load number is 597,000. I received these tests from my primary doctor as I do not go the gastroenterologist. I would not do the liver biopsy the doctor wanted and so I was sent to another gastroenterologist and he actually ushered me out of his office and did not even want to accept my co-pay. I am so thankful for your book! I have not been diligent with my own treatment of Hep-C. I have been taking Milk Thistle and eating healthy and taking alot of other supplements as well. I felt reborn after I received my numbers. He says that even though my liver function numbers are normal. They were 45 and 50, that it is not a true reflection as some of the enzymes might have not shown up. At any rate, I'll take those numbers. I am totally on board with my own treatment now. Considered the drug of choice for hepatitis C and chronic liver disease, interferon may cause side effects and even death when used a second time, according to a new review.
By Alysha Reid, Everyday Health Staff Writer

WEDNESDAY, Jan. 30, 2013 — Those who have failed to respond to initial treatment for hepatitis C or chronic liver disease may not benefit from a second round of interferon therapy. Instead, they could experience a variety of side effects — including an increased risk of dying sooner, according to an updated review published in The Cochrane Library.

After analyzing results of two trials involving a total of 1,676 patients, researchers found that those who received a second infusion of interferon therapy had a 9.4 percent risk of dying compared to those who received a placebo or no treatment, whose risk of death was 6.7 percent. Patients in the treatment group were also more likely to experience complications such as cirrhosis and fluid in the belly.

"It was troubling to see that in those trials providing the most reliable estimates of treatment effects, interferon seemed to increase the risk of death," said lead researcher Ronald Koretz, MD, an emeritus professor of clinical medicine at the UCLA School of Medicine, in a press release. "Based on these results, interferon monotherapy cannot be recommended for chronic hepatitis C patients who have already failed one course of treatment and are being retreated.”

Interferon is a powerful medication used to treat chronic forms of viral hepatitis B, C, and D. When the body detects a virus like hepatitis C, certain cells naturally create interferon proteins to alert nearby cells of the imminent threat. This triggers a mass production of additional anti-virus proteins that keep the virus from replicating and spreading. Interferon also stops the body from producing proteins that the virus needs to thrive. With interferon therapy, doctors inject genetically engineered interferon to boost that produced by the immune system and help stop the replication of the hepatitis virus quickly. While interferon is often used to prevent potentially fatal liver damage, it can come with serious side effects, such as damage to the heart and psychological changes.

Interferon therapy is usually administered in combination with other anti-viral medication, such as Ribavirin. When the initial treatment fails to eradicate the hepatitis C virus, doctors usually increase the frequency or dosage of the interferon.

Generally, interferon therapy is considered to have been successful when the hepatitis C virus is no longer detectable through blood tests. But according to Dr. Koretz, his analysis of past clinical trials, which included rates of liver failure and death rates, proved that this isn’t enough. “We looked at whether patients got better,” he said. “The blood tests did not predict the outcome.” And while other studies have examined the drawbacks of interferon therapy, Koretz believes that doctors need to do a better job at informing patients of the risks.

“People in the future who are going to be offered a combination therapy that includes interferon need to be told that there may be an increased risk of death,” he said.

You're welcome. I have participated on some forums wherein you are variously referred to as "dead on" or "whacko trying to sell something." :-) It is amazing the degree of fear that is raised about true disease, and how trusting and accepting people are of the drugs.

I ended interferon in 12/08. My thyroid is still fried, I have psoriasis still and I have arthritis and some degree of cognitive impairment, my liver damage rapidly accelerated to cirrhosis during and immediately after treatment. I am, however, feeling far far better than I was. I cannot tell you what a horrible, lonely terrifying experience it was. Somebody needs to be in jail.

You have a number of times responded kindly to my inquiries. I thank you very much for doing so. I occasionally have sent you stuff like the below and will likely continue to do so.

The long-term consequences of failed interferon-alpha based hepatitis C treatment on liver morbidity and survival have not been fully explored. We performed retrospective analyses to assess long-term clinical outcomes among treated and untreated patients with hepatitis C virus in two independent cohorts from a United States Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a University Teaching Hospital. Eligible patients underwent liver biopsy during consideration for interferon-alpha based treatment between 1992 and 2007. They were assessed for the probability of developing cirrhosis during follow-up using Cox proportional hazards models, stratified by pretreatment liver fibrosis stage and adjusted for known risk factors for cirrhosis and characteristics affecting treatment selection. The major predictor was a time-dependent covariate for treatment outcome among four patient groups: 1) patients with sustained viral response to treatment; 2) treatment relapsers; 3) treatment nonresponders; and 4) never treated patients. Treatment nonresponders in the Veterans cohort had a statistically significantly increased hazard of cirrhosis (HR = 2.35, CI 1.18-4.69) compared to never treated patients during a mean follow-up period of 10 years. In a replication cohort from the University Hospital, nonresponders also had a significantly increased hazard of cirrhosis (HR = 5.90, CI 1.50-23.24) during a mean follow-up period of 7.7 years. Conclusion: These unexpected findings suggest that hepatic inflammation and fibrosis may be accelerated by interferon-alpha based antiviral therapies in patients who fail to clear the hepatitis C virus.

I was diagnosed with Hep C in 2006, did the treatment of Ribavirin and strongest dose of Interferon, I have cleared the virus, although since the treatment I have extreme muscle pain and some joint pain, I tried for a few years to continue to work, but am unable to, due to pain, my memory is terrible, I take my pain meds and fall asleep in the office. I have been denied Long term disability because they cannot prove that I have pain, xrays, blood work cannot show my pain level. Do you know of anyone that has been able to get disability from this most horrible problem. I am not the person I used to be.... I was always the most active person, and now my life is completely different.

I know what you are going thru. I get emails from people every day who have the same complaints. Interferon damages the Brain, Nerve Damage and Bone Marrow damage. This is what causes most of the long term side effects.

Almost all victims of this inhumane treatment who write me go to numerous doctors trying to get some evidence to prove they have been damaged by interferon. I know of none who attend normal MDs who get any satisfaction regarding their disabled condition.

If you tell the disability people that you are an alcoholic or drug addict you can easily get disability.

Telling them the truth about damage from an FDA approved drug that brings in Billions of Dollars annually usually does not achieve the goal.

First I had west nile then they discovered hep c. I took interferon for only two maybe three months an my hep c is gone that\'s been 2 years.

But since that time, my hypothyroidism is giving me fits, constipation, miagraines and fatigue to mention a few.

Hypothyroidism is a common side effect of interferon. You can try some TG100 for this. It may help, it may not. You can view it here:

Constipation is also a common problem caused by interferon use. Often getting your intestinal flora back in order will help. First take HLC symbiotic intensive for 7 days then HLC intensive for at least 2 months. Usually this will help this condition.

Dear Lloyd, I had two rounds of interferon and the second one had ribaviron added and I have had three years `clear` of hep c showing on test, but my quality of life is impaired and I have problems which I thought were caused by two very dramatic bereavements in my life. Now I think my mental health problems inc cognitive and memory problems are from interferon. I am pretty scared and also disability don`t wish to pay me anymore because I don`t test positive to hep C anymore. Could you let me have some info I could use about my symptoms. The local doctor is being very helpful but the Hepatitis C clinic is not, they say I should go back to work after 20 years of hep c and 14 being so ill I could scarcely get out of bed.

Hello Marian,
I am aware of the problems with interferon. Almost all doctors you go to will deny most everything associated with interferon side effects. Often their statements will be, "I never heard of this".

Most all doctors are paid generously by makers of interferon and they do not honor their Hippocratic Oath, Do NO HARM.

I have met a lot of people who cannot work after interferon and it has nothing to do with hep c.

It has been 15 years since treatment. It started with really bad fatigue . a few years into that memory started to worsen.. then I started to get really sick with "colds" that lasted forever after exercise.. I actually used to be able to do a lot prior to treatment..

The past 5 years has been pretty severe immune crash and very low stamina.. easily sick and body seems to struggle with fighting off basic colds..they linger forever..and or turn into fevers and lung infections. My life is being diminished. I can't get any medical explanation for what is going on either...no stamina.. I am 45 and feel like I am in the 90s sometimes.

I had to have Interferon Injections in 2003 for aprox. 6 months for treatment of Hep "C". Where I came in contact with this virus I guess I will never figure out. All I know for sure is the Doctor said the Virus was gone and it was very doubtful it would ever return. So far, So good. It's 2012 and still no sign of it.

However, I am qiite miserable with my lack of health. My lower back and hips as well as my legs stay feeling extreemly painful. Kind of like a severly pulled hamsring and horrable cramps in the back and legs. I also have days when I fel like I have bad fever and have horrable flushing feelings. headacchs and feeling like my skin is on fire are all rolled into to one horrable existance most every day of my life and I spend most of my time praying to die to relive myself from all of this pain.

The more I read about it the more I am convinced that all this is due to Post Interferon Syndrome. Please...If anyone knows a doctor or Doctors that treat this horrable desice, Please let me know how to contact them as I am really getting desperate. Oh yea, I also am getting more and more forgetful on a daily basis.

6 weeks back I finished a clinical trial being conducted thru the Alfred hospital in aus. weekly Interferon injections with Ribavirin + two other tablets unknown. result was after two weeks on the drugs I had a zero count all way thru to end of the six months.

now I have some bad issues that I want to know if you can advise on.

Hello Stephan,
What you describe is the same type of things thousands of people who used interferon describe, as well as myself.
Interferon causes brain damage. This damage results in different symptoms in the body and mind.
Many people have spent a lot of time going to doctors trying to find out what is wrong with them and they all say, I have never heard of this before. They all play dumb.

There are some things that can help.
NADH
Krill Oil
Hypothalamus
NatCell CNS.

Those are the 4 items I have seen help, each of these increases brain function in a different area.
I am very sorry this has happened to you. Sometimes time helps with some decrease in symptoms and after a lot of time it just seems like something you have to deal with.
I used interferon back in 1995 and I still have some of the symptoms you mention, I did not have them prior to interferon.

I was wondering how I get involved in the class action against interferon. While taking the drug, I dropped down to 79 lbs, and now have Gastroparesis and Crohns disease as a result.

The interferon paralyzed my stomach, and I am considering having a pacemaker put in because I am constantly vomitting and nausea us, and dropping dramatic weight. I am on disability because of this, and its caused me immense mental distress, as well as my daughters.

Please tell me what I need to do to get involved. I can not work and there for am unable to provide the life I wanted. I was better off with the hepatitis C! :)

I have just finished taking Interferon and Ribavirin for Hep C. I took it for 6 months and was cured of HEP C; however, no my liver and kidneys are suffering. Two months ago I had a perfect liver besides some fat. Now, I have Cirrhosis spots and the dr. said it has acquired 2 YEARS of damage in 30 days.

I was wondering if there was any lawsuit I could join or any other programs? I now am facing cancer most likely and have 4 children and nothing to leave behind to help them.

Dear Lloyd,

I have Hepatitis C type 1a. I was diagnosed last year and immediately got the Hep A&B vacine. I then went on the triple Interferon, ribaviran and Telapavir treatment. 8 weeks in I became very tired with rash. I was put on Thyroid medication. I fainted one night and hit my head - spend overnight in the hospital. Over the next two weeks my blood counts dropped and I was running a low fever. Was put on procrit for blood count as my fever and rash increased. By the end of that two week period my fever was 104.5 and i was told to go the hospital where I was diagnosed with DRESS syndrom - a severe reaction to the drugs. Spent four days in hospital trying to control the fever, which came down finally with steriods. I had receveived an Undetectable test result, however I was taken off all 3 drugs at week 10 due to the reactions. After my fever came down the dr. tried to restart the interferon and ribaviran to complete the next 12 week phase, however the rash came back right away.Long story short...it took me 3 months to recover from that (energy, hair growing back, skin clearing up, fog going away..etc). I am now 5 months since that ordeal and am searching for alternative treatments. I just got your book "Hepatitis C a do-it-yourself guide to Health" and was very incouraged (wish I had read this first). My question is: Where do I start? I have been changing my diet with organic health foods and juicing quite a bit, but saw your various programs and am overwelmed by all of the herbs and supplements. I haven't finished your book, but am hoping this will tell where to start. Should I also read your earlier books? and does the website have step by step information on getting started.

I want to thank you for being so open about this experience with interferon.

I am a daughter of a person who went on interferon. My father was swimming labs, active in the community, and always had tons of energy. His doctor put him on what she said was more interferon known to man. He was on ALOT of interferon at Hershey Med Center in Pa. My Dad became very sick. He had personality changes, his hair went straight, sick as a dog, and started doing things he would never do. Lloyd a couple years after he went off the Interferon he developed waldenstromes macroglogulanemia, which is a Nonhodgkins lymphoma. The doctors say that its from his Hep C but I think its from all the interferon he was on. Do you know of any relations between Interferon and lymphoma? Have you ever heard of any corrolation.

Lymphoma is a side effect of interferon. It is clearly written in the interferon warnings. Interferon lowers immunity and causes auto immune disease, many cancers, all kinds of things.

Lloyd, hope you are well and having a great day.I got my supplement package yesterday and I started my treatment today. I took the thymus and mesenchyme this morning. So far no adverse effects and I feel good. I am looking forward to doing the treatments and I'm hoping to have good results from using the supplements. I have read your books even went as far as studying them and I have watched all of your videos and I believe you are someone that know what you are talking about.

I have lost faith in the medical community as far as hepatitis c goes and I'm totally against the interferon pegasys treatments because I almost lost my life because of interferon. In my 45th week of the interferon treatment my immune system was in such bad shape I developed pneumonia in my right lung which I hadn't realized yet and one terrible night I was not able to catch my breath so I went to hospital not knowing if I was going to make it and when I got there I found out I was having a heart attach. I was rushed to nashville to a better hospital where I spent 10 days fighting for my life.Only by the grace of God did I pull through and I'm still breathing today. I was taken off the interferon treatment and told not to go back on it if I wanted to live. So I have a very bad opinion of the interferon treatment and after reading your books I agree with everything you said. I'm getting my last blood tests tomorrow and I'll be sending a copy to you as soon as I can. I have also quit taking any narcotics something I've been planning on doing anyway.

I am 3 months off Ribavirin and Interferon. The virus was undetectable 1 month into treatment and I stopped treatment 3 weeks early. I wish I had stopped earlier as I feel brain damaged and Nervous System Damaged. Cognitive Motor skills damaged...Eye sensitivity, emotonal and mental problems, depressed & fatigued. Will I recover? My boyfriend is still with me and I sometimes feel he thinks I use it as an excuse...and I question myself so I would like to hear some truth about recovery from this treatment. I took the treatment for almost 6 months and I am a 40 year old woman with no other health problems.

I came across your link for your web site when I googled alternative and natural cures for Hep C. This gal I know contracted hep c they believe thru a dental procedure about 2 years ago. She wasn't really sick but the Drs. put her on the now infamous Interferon chemo toxin and while her tests are now negative for the virus, her health has since spiraled out of control. She suffers from debilitating migraines, Chronic fatigue, fibromyalga, Epstein Barr, explosive diarrhea...etc....She has quit her career and is on disability. She is also divorced with 2 children. I have her on Milk thistle and a Shittake mushroom extract. Unfortunately, she is on a boat load of meds, compliments of the many "specialists" she gets bounced around too.

Dear Mr. Wright:

Firstly, I am a 60 year old male who can truly relate to your life/lifestyle back "in the day", perverse humor (compliment), and your brave journey to save your own life when all the "experts" said you were nuts and just accept death. The difference being that I had you as my personal guide, along with a few doctors who told me about you and provided additional guidance. I sincerely thank you for the insight and information provided over two (2) years ago, when my Hep C reared its ugly head again, after over 30 years of remaining "dormant". Don't know weather the overdose of acetaminophen (60 Tylenol ES) while carrying my mother to various hospitals, with a shattered hip or from my then heroin addicted girlfriend, who had Hep C (was ignorant of both addiction and virus), with sores/cysts over her body, which, at times, I assisted and got covered with her infected blood.

Upon learning of the virus again active, I immediately freaked and found one of the supposedly best liver doctors in the New Orleans area. Began the interferon/ribavirun treatments. As these meds were taking a devastating toll on my body and wiping out my red blood cells 3 month into treatment, Procrit was added to attempt to increase my red blood count. This was an 11 month program, which was costing a minimum of 5 Gs a month, as my insurance excluded all having to do with Hep C. However, after month 10, my viral load level increased and my red blood cell count was 13,000. I was then told to wait for a newer generation of meds or get in line for a liver transplant. That's when I began searching and found a physician who introduced me to you and your books. As a side note, I'm in the Natural Gas Exploration business and from 2007 thru 2010 the largest natural gas field (Haynesville Shale) in the US was discovered in N.W. LA. and E. TX. and money was no problem - that is just the opposite now as numerous other "shale" fields were discovered and the price of NG is the lowest it's been in over 7-8 years.

I followed the path of the majority of your book, while adding two (2) supplements manufactured by Liv on Labs, being Vitamin C and GSH, all recommended by my doctor, now friend. Not promoting company, but I think, after reading your book, that you have a open mind willing to expand with any product that could add to the success rate.

After eating well (organically) and taking supplements recommended by you and others, I had blood work performed about only 6 months after my last doctor's visit and results were I was Hepatitis C FREE! Was extremely excited and, as I became friends with nurses and office manager of my former liver doctor, I thought to share the news, so they could provide others, who were told they had no hope, that there was indeed an alternative remedy. The girls passed the info to the doctor, who stated that the test was flawed! I then had blood work performed a year later and called again with the amazing (good) results and still a negative response from the doctor, who still was not interested in speaking with me nor even seeing me again as a patient. THIS BLEW ME AWAY! However, the office manager did state that the tests were the exact test they would have ordered and, according to the results, I was indeed, Hep C FREE.

I now have a situation where a dear friend of mine has the Hep C marker, but is afraid of doing blood work for viral load levels. I suggested that, if she is too emotionally fragile to do the blood work, which both you and I can relate, to please try your remedies prior to pursuing this through standard MD methods of interferon, et al. If you can provide any additional recommendations, it will be greatly appreciated. I shall now go to your website and order as much as I can afford for my friend.
