Anemone Rug

Anemone is a rug inspired by a painting in which brushstrokes imitate the movements of sea anemones. Design by Francois Dumas for La Chance. The rug is handmade by artisans in Portugal who tuft and cut the wool to obtain a raised design, reproducing the anemone’s shades.

An Entire Organic Decor

The idea / inspiration for the design derives from sack filled with coffee grains. The walls of the bar are organically shaped and colored like coffee sack made up of “Plywood” type of wood, whereby the pillars in between are coated with textile coffee sacks. Tables and hanging chandeliers represent the coffee grains lined up asymmetrically in order to generate the impression of being inside a coffee sack. The separating wall has a double function; decorative and functional. Its organic shape consists the most dominant part of the premise enabling a unique feeling of sitting unlike any other one comes across in everyday life. Each of the plywood element was designed individually. This because for the creation of an entire organic shape, each of the element needs to be designed separately.

Compass Clothes Rack

Designed by Danish studio Gamfratesi for Italian furniture company Casamania, ‘Compass’, the clothes rack is based on the translation of the technical and functional aspects of the navigational instrument detail as a graphic element. Available in three finishes – natural oak, white and black – the ladder is finished in leather and metal to create an aesthetic similar to that of a compass.

Taiwan’s WCH Studio boasts a portfolio filled with refreshingly unique modern and contemporary urban spaces. These city dwellings are atypical in their architectural dialogue and decor sensibilities. The apartment reflects all of this boutique firm’s capabilities with its utilization of light and height in a multi-level format with rooms spanning out from a central dynamic staircase of steel and glass. The living room is furnished with a multi-use sofa + console and a single round coffee table which allows the room’s architecture to prevail.
