Yet despite the dry conditions, above-average inflows from Lake Erie and continued below-average outflows from Lake Ontario resulted in the lake rising 10 cm last month, more than the average May rise of 8 cm. For forecasts see: http://www.ijc.org/en_/islrbc/Forecasts, where the forecast plots show a wide range of possible levels based on the possible range of supplies, from a 5% chance of being so wet to a 5% chance of being so dry. If average supplies occur, the levels will reach average for the time of year by August.
