ZADUSZKI - ALL SOULS DAY

Zaduszki (All Souls Day) is a Polish tradition of lighting candles (znicze) and visiting the graves of the relatives on All Souls Day. The first day of November is a holiday in Poland. Streets are filled with silent and solemn crowds, and cemeteries glow with thousands of candles, presenting a unique and picturesque scene.

Enrolment procedures

1. Check the offer (see below).
2. Fill in the e-registration form and register to the appropriate group (In case of doubts about the level consult the teacher) ► Enrolment on-line
3. If you cannot come to classes at suggested times, provide all your availability hours in the enrolment form.
4. IMPORTANT! Registration at the Virtual Dean’s Office (or in the equivalent system) is obligatory! You must register directly to the group in the SJO system.
5. If you have no access to the Internet, come for the enrolment in person (see below).
6. After the last day of the enrolment check the final version of the timetable on the website or:
- on the room 45 door in the Main Canteen building – OJA,
- on the board opposite room 419 in the Main Building,
- on the board next to the ISO office (room 119, the Main Building).
7. Come for classes according to the final version of the timetable.
8. During the first week of classes you can change the group or join the already existing groups.
9. IMPORTANT! No individual e-mail invitations to classes are going to be sent!
10. Check the timetable ► Temporary timetable.

The official inauguration of the academic year 2012/2013 will be on 1st of October 2012 at ~10:00 am in the Main Hall of the Main Building.

Program:

National Anthem.
Welcoming ceremony.
Speech by the Rector of the PW, prof. Dr.. hab. Eng. John Schmidt.
Official speeches.
Matriculation of students.
Presentation by the President of Students Union.
Presentation by the Chairman of PhD. Council.
Inaugural Lecture by Professor Henryk Skarzynski

Most faculty inaugurations will take place after the main inauguration in the Main Aula of Main Building:

12:30 - Electrical Engineering
13:30 - Architecture
14:30 - Environmental Engineering
16:30 - Power and Aeronautical Engineering

Faculty of Mathematics will celebrate the official opening in their new building on Koszykowa 75 (Central Cempus) at 13:30 in room 107.
Official opening for Civil Engineering is on Tuesday 2nd of October at 14:30 in the Small Aula (next to ISO).

ISO RELOADED - NEW OFFICE IN ROOM 233

International Students Office have finaly moved for good from room 119 to a new room - 233! We have a new spacious office, divided into four sections. If you are around the Main Building - pay us a visit!
