This string of letters, drwxrwxrwx, represents the permissions that are set for this folder. (Note that these are often called attributes by FTP programs.) Let's explain what each of these letters means:

After Download the pgpool file copy the tar file to home location then we need to extract that as following.

tar xvf pgpoolII pgpoolII2.3.3.tar.gz

* After extracting the source tar ball, execute the configure script.

Configure

>su

> “type the root password”

>cd pgpoolII2.2.3

>./configure

>make

>make install

will install pgpoolII...

After Installation copy the pgpool.conf and pcp.conf files to

following location

/usr/local/etc/

Then create the new database like “replicatedb” in both Master and Slave servers:

#/usr/local/pgsql/bin/createdb p 9999 Ustreamline replicatedb

Restore the database backup to the replicatedb:

#/usr/local/pgsql/bin/pg_restore p 9999 Ustreamline v Fc d

replicatedb /home/erpsupport/demo.Backup

Note: Database's names and their passwords should same in both master and

slave servers.

1. Restarting Streamline Services:

When you need to restart Streamline Services you should restart pgpool also.

Follow below setup to restart steamline services and pgpool

Step-1: Stop the Streamline Services
Step-2: Stop the pgpool
-->pgpool -m fast stop

Step-3: Start the pgpool
-->pgpool -n &
Step-4: Start the Streamline Services

2. Restarting pgpool:

When you need to restart the pgpool you should follow the same procedure.

Step-1: Stop the Streamline Services
Step-2: Stop the pgpool
-->pgpool -m fast stop
Step-3: Start the pgpool
-->pgpool -n &
Step-4: Start the Streamline Services

3. Restarting Master Server:

If you need to Restart the Master server then do the following procedures
Step-1: Stop the Streamline Services
Step-2: Stop the pgpool
-->pgpool -m fast stop
Step-3: Stop the postgres service in Master server

--> su postgres

--> su postgres
--> /usr/local/pgsql/bin/pg_ctl -D /usr/local/pgsql/data/ -m fast stop
Step-4: Then Restart the Slave Server Machine
Step-5: Then start postgres services in slave and check master postgres also running
Step-6: Start the pgpool in mainserver
-->pgpool -n &
Step-7: And Start the Streamline Services

5. If Slave server connection faild due to Network problem or Slave Machine Crashed.
* Restart Streamline and Pgpool services in Mainserver. So that reports will get data from Mainserver.
* Once Slave Server ready follow below steps to enable replication.
Step-1: Stop the Streamline Services
Step-2: Stop the pgpool
-->pgpool -m fast stop
Step-3: Stop the postgres service in Slave server
--> su
-->
--> su postgres
--> /usr/local/pgsql/bin/pg_ctl -D /usr/local/pgsql/data/ -m fast stop

Step-4: Stop the postgres service in Master server
--> su
-->
--> su postgres
--> /usr/local/pgsql/bin/pg_ctl -D /usr/local/pgsql/data/ -m fast stop

Step-5: Delete the “data” folder in slave server
--> su

--> rm -rf /usr/local/pgsql/data
Step-6: Then create the “data” folder in slave server

--> mkdir /usr/local/pgsql/data
--> chown postgres /usr/local/pgsql/data

Step-7: Copy the “data” folder from Master server to Slave server “data” folder through rsync.

“While using rsync to each and every time we need to enter the root
password of Main server. “

Step-8: After Complete the “data” folder copy. Delete the folders from table-spacing drives in Slave server.

Step-9: Then Copy the each table-spacing folders from Master to Slave Machines

Sony on Saturday announced the return of games and media services to the beleaguered PlayStation Network and Sony Online Entertainment's Station.com, including relaunch of online gameplay and friends lists.

A new mandatory patch is now available for PlayStation 3 users who try to sign in to PSN. News of the new firmware is the first official update on PSN's status since about a week ago, when Sony said it would miss its goal of getting some network services back up and running during the May 7-8 weekend.

Sony Computer Entertainment CEO Kaz Hirai said in a new videothat the "first phase" of its games and media network's relaunch is now available in "most regions" of the world.

The relaunch begins in the Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Middle East, with a full restoration of all online services by the end of May, as originally planned by Sony.

PSN has been down since April 20, when Sony shut down the service after discovering a cyber attack had exploited a security hole, compromising personal information for about 77 million registered accounts.

Return Of Core Online Services

PSN users can now sign into PSN and Qriocity, play games online on PSP and PlayStation 3, access Music Unlimited (for PC and PS3 subscribers), and access third-party services including Netflix (which has been accessible during the outage), Hulu, Vudu and MLB.tv.

Other features that are back online are PSN friends lists, chat, trophy comparison, video rental playback and PlayStation Home.

Sony Network Entertainment VP Eric Lempel explained PS3's mandatory patch 3.61, which is introducing the new layer of security: "If using a PS3, your password can only be changed on your own PS3 (or a PS3 on which your PSN account was activated), as an added layer of security."

"If you have never downloaded any content using your account on the system, an email will be sent to the registered sign-in ID (email address) associated with your account when you first attempt to sign-in to PSN."

Users will receive a confirmation email for the password change, then users can sign into the network using that new password.

Hirai said that other services like PlayStation Store and Qriocity's purchasing features will return "as soon as possible."

Security A "Full-Time Commitment"

Hirai said that Sony has "greatly updated" its security systems for its networks, including "advanced security technology, increased levels of encryption, additional firewalls and early warning systems" to warn against "any unusual activity" in its networks.

Hirai reiterated that Sony is offering customers ID theft protection programs for free, and stressed that cyber attacks are still a reality for any networked service.

"I wish I could tell you that technologies are available to completely protect any company against cyber attack," he said. "But unfortunately, the threat of cyber crime and data theft will continue to plague networks, companies, government agencies and consumers around the world for some time to come."

The executive said going forward, Sony will "make the protection of consumer data a full-time, company-wide commitment." The company created the new role of chief information security officer of SNEI following the cyber attack.

Return Of SOE Games

A few days after Sony took down PSN following the cyber attack, Sony Online Entertainment, the online gaming arm that develops and operates PC games including EverQuest, shut down its own services as Sony found an additional 24.6 million SOE accounts were compromised by the same attack.

With the restoration of PSN services also comes the return of "nearly all of SOE's portfolio of online games, the reinstatement of SOE's game forums and websites, and added functionality to require players to reset their passwords," SOE said in a statement.

Both SOE and PSN users will be receiving welcome back packages that offer gamers free content and services as part of an effort to win back consumer goodwill following the extended downtime.

"While we understand the importance of getting our services back online, we did not rush to do so at the expense of extensively and aggressively testing our enhanced security measures," Hirai said in a press release.

"Our consumers' safety remains our number one priority," Hirai added. "We want to assure our customers that their personal information is being protected with some of the best security technologies available today, so that everyone can feel comfortable enjoying all that PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have to offer."

June 23, 1982 – May 13, 2011

Derek Boogaard was one of the most well-loved players in the brief history of the Minnesota Wild. The impact he had on this community reached far outside the boards of the Xcel Energy Center ice. Sure, he was a tough guy on the ice, but Boogaard's 24 jersey was one of the best selling in the NHL, covering the backs of hockey fans young and old. In his charitable works, Boogaard reached out to those who asked, any and all. He supported kids stricken by terminal diseases at Children's Hospital, gave money ,hockey equipment, time and visibility to the families of our country's armed forces.

Beloved in the State of Hockey, Boogaard brought crowds to their feet in support of him, his teammates and each other. A tough guy on the ice, a caring and compassionate one off it. A family man, who was looking so forward to his two younger brothers coming to stay with him. A family who had the unfortunate experience of having that family gathering ending in an unforseen way.

Boogaard's role was an enforcer. He had the back of each and every one of his teammates. It's hard to think that in this situation, nobody was able to have his back. I will miss seeing his grin, his charisma, his undying love of the game of hockey, his teammates and fans.

The Minnesota Wild organization sends our deepest sympathies to the family of Derek Boogaard. Derek was a fan favorite during his five seasons with the Wild and will be greatly missed here in Minnesota and throughout the NHL. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Boogaard family during this tragic time of loss.

I don't want this thread to become an investigation into his death, filled with rumor mongering and vitriol. I will silence any of that discussion with righteous indignation. MINNEAPOLIS — It may be weeks before authorities know exactly how and why New York Rangers enforcer Derek Boogaard died, although foul play was not immediately suspected.

The 28-year-old player was found dead Friday in his Minneapolis apartment. Few details were available, but the news rippled across the NHL, where the 6-foot-7 Boogaard was a fan favorite and one of the game's most feared fighters. He missed most of last season because of a concussion and shoulder injury from a fight.

"I don't think we have any answers as to what happened or why it happened," Ron Salcer, Boogaard's agent, said Saturday.

Authorities received a report of a man not breathing shortly before 6:15 p.m. Friday, Minneapolis police Sgt. William Palmer said. Minneapolis fire officials were the first to arrive and determined he was dead.

Palmer said authorities do not suspect foul play at this point, but the police department's homicide unit and the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating. Palmer said the medical examiner will decide the cause of death.

An autopsy was being conducted Saturday, but county spokeswoman Carol Allis said results probably will not be released for at least two weeks.

She said in cases with no obvious signs of physical trauma or an obvious immediate cause of death, it takes time to receive results of laboratory tests. Allis said the medical examiner's office doesn't anticipate releasing preliminary autopsy findings until all results are in.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported on its website Saturday night that Boogaard's family has agreed to donate his brain to Boston University researchers who are studying brain disease in athletes.

Findings released earlier this year by Boston University revealed that former enforcer Bob Probert suffered from the degenerative brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Probert died of a heart attack last July at age 45. Reggie Fleming, a 1960s enforcer who played before helmets became mandatory, also had CTE.

A moment of silence was observed for Boogaard in Boston before the Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Bruins 5-2 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.

"The news that we have lost someone so young and so strong leaves everyone in the National Hockey League stunned and saddened," NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said in a statement. "The NHL family sends its deepest condolences to all who knew and loved Derek Boogaard, to those who played and worked with him and to everyone who enjoyed watching him compete."

Marian Gaborik was Boogaard's teammate on both the Rangers and the Minnesota Wild, and benefited greatly by the protection the hulking forward provided for him as he fueled the offense.

"It was devastating news," Gaborik said from Slovakia. "I played with Boogey for a long time in Minny and then in New York. He was a great guy. We got along together great. We helped each other out on the ice and off the ice. We were very close. I tried to help him along in New York, and we had a very good relationship. It's just very sad."

"He was one of the very best at what he did. Every team would have loved to have him, whether on the ice or off the ice as a great teammate."

Rangers defenseman Michael Del Zotto said in an e-mail to The Associated Press that Boogaard was "always joking and having fun."

"Anytime anything happened or if you needed anything, Boogey was always there," he said. "He was always a pleasure to be around."

Added Rangers forward Brandon Prust on Twitter: "At a loss for words. I'll miss my roomy Derek Boogaard. You will be missed by everyone. Great friend and teammate."

Prust was still dealing with the shock on Saturday.

"It keeps hitting me off and on all day as I'm driving," Prust said. "Though he was a fighter on the ice, he was definitely a gentle giant off the ice. He was just a real good guy, a team guy all the way. I've been looking at some of the silly pictures I have from when we were roommates and it just hits me what a good guy he was. I still can't believe I am referring to him in the past tense."

Fans, meanwhile, flocked online to express their sadness. For years, fans have been going to YouTube to watch "The Boogeyman" do battle.

His final game was Dec. 9 at Ottawa when he fought Matt Carkner and sustained a concussion and shoulder injury. That was the 70th fight of his NHL career, and by midday Saturday more than 80,000 people had watched replays of that fight on YouTube.

Boogaard signed a four-year, $6.5 million deal with the Rangers in July and appeared in 22 games last season. He had a goal and an assist to go with 45 penalty minutes.

Boogaard was out for the last 52 games of the regular season because of his injuries and did not play in the playoffs. He didn't skate again until about three months after the concussion. He was sent home to Minnesota late in the season to work on conditioning.

Gaborik said he recently spoke to Boogaard, who had his sights set on making a full recovery and having a much better second season with the Rangers.

"We had a lot of good times together," Gaborik said. "He was a really easygoing guy, really caring. We talked pretty much about everything. He's just the type guy who would be there for you whenever you needed him.

"We were in touch a lot. He was focusing on coming back, training every day. He was really looking forward to coming back in great shape and prove that he's the best at what he does. He was really looking forward to that. He was always so positive and optimistic."

In several player polls, Boogaard was voted as the league's most intimidating player. When the Rangers signed him last summer, general manager Glen Sather said the decision was made because Boogaard was "the biggest and toughest."

He had seven fights with the Rangers. His lone goal of the season came at home against Washington on Nov. 9. That ended a drought of 234 games without a goal, dating to Jan. 7, 2006. It was the longest such streak in the league.

Boogaard began his NHL career with Minnesota and appeared in 255 games with the Wild from 2005-10. He missed four games with the Wild because of a concussion. With Minnesota and the Rangers over six seasons, he had three goals and 13 assists and 589 penalty minutes.

"I received a phone call last night at 1:00 a.m. from my son, Connor, who is a freshman in college," Wild owner Craig Leipold said in a statement. "Connor interned for the Wild last year, and his favorite person (not just player) was Derek. You could hear in his voice just how affected he was, since he had just learned of Derek's passing.

"He had a lot of questions, and I had no answers."

That feeling was shared by many, including Minnesota center Pierre-Marc Bouchard, who played with Boogaard for five years.

"Every player on our team felt a little bit more safe with him on the ice with us," Bouchard said in a phone interview. "He was really tough on the ice, but outside the ice he was a great guy."

Wild media relations coordinator Ryan Stanzel first met Boogaard when he was working the ECHL and Boogaard was assigned to Lafayette, La., in 2002.

"I remember the first day he was on the ice, he was larger than life," Stanzel said. "He was so much bigger than everybody in that league. He certainly wasn't the best skater in the world, but he worked 45 minutes to an hour every day after practice with the coaches on his footwork."

San Jose Sharks coach Todd McLellan coached Boogaard for two years in the minors in Houston.

"He was a lovable guy that everybody liked," McLellan said. "Obviously mean and nasty on the ice. He'll be sorely missed."

Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Boogaard was drafted by Minnesota in 2001 in the seventh round, the 202nd choice. He drew notice in 2007 when he and brother Aaron ran a hockey-fighting class in Saskatchewan. Some voiced concern about such a camp. Boogaard insisted he wasn't teaching kids how to hurt each other, but rather how to protect themselves so they don't get hurt on the ice.

This is the second death of a player in the Rangers organization in the past three years. Alexei Cherepanov, drafted in 2007 but never signed by New York, died at 19 in Chekhov, Russia, in 2008, after collapsing on the bench during a game.

Roman Lyashenko, who briefly played with the Rangers several years ago, was found dead in a hotel in Turkey in 2003. His death was believed to be a suicide.

While with the Rangers, he created “Boogaard’s Booguardians,” hosting military members and their families at all New York Ranger home games. In addition, he made multiple appearances with partner organizations of the Garden of Dreams Foundation, the non-profit charity that works closely with all areas of Madison Square Garden, including the New York Knicks, Rangers, Liberty, MSG Media, MSG Entertainment and Fuse “to make dreams come true for kids facing obstacles”.

How to Create a System Image in Windows 7

The new backup utilities in Windows 7 are actually pretty impressive and creating an image will be possible in all versions. Today we take a look at creating a backup image of your machine without the need for a third party utility like Ghost or True Image.

You just just finished installing a fresh copy of Windows 7 on your computer and have it set up to your liking. One of the first things you should do now is create an image of the disc so in the event of a crash you will be able to restore it to its current state. An image is an exact copy of everything on the drive and will restore it back to its current state. It’s probably best to create an image when everything is clean and organized on your system. This will make the image file smaller and allows you to restore the system with a smooth running set up.

Creating an Image in Windows 7

Click on Start go to Getting Started and then select Back up your files.

Next click on the Create a system image hyperlink.

Decide where you want to save the image. You can choose an external drive, burn to multiple DVD’s, or store it on a network location.

You can include other drives if you want as well but remember that will add to the size of the final image.

At the confirmation screen notice the amount of space the image may take. If something doesn’t look right you can still go back from this point and make adjustments.

A progress meter is displayed while the images is created and backed up. In this example a disk of about 15GB in size took under 20 minutes backed up to an external drive. Times will vary depending on your system and where you’re backing it up to.

After the process is complete you get the option to create a system repair disc which you should do and make sure to save it in a secure location.

When it comes time to restore the image, you will be able to use the System Recovery Options to get the system back.

Image in Windows Vista

Vista Ultimate, Business, and Enterprise allow you to create an image, but Vista Home and Home Premium users do not have the option. The process is similar in Vista, type backup into the search bar and click on Backup and Restore Center.

Then click on Back up computer and the wizard will guide you through the process.

Conclusion

This is a extremely handy feature and it actually works well. It is also nice that the feature will be available in each edition of Windows 7 instead of just the higher end versions. This will save you some money in not having to spend $50-80 on a third party utility. You should create an image when everything is fresh on your system so the image is not too large and the essentials of you machine can quickly be restored. For instance I created an image after a fresh install and putting Office 2007 and a few of my most commonly used programs. The entire image came in around 10 GB which is easily stored on an external drive or a few DVD’s.

1. Set up a password - or even better - an encryption key

Adding some kind of password to your network is a way to immediately discourage probably 99 percent of the people who could jack into your Wi-Fi connection remotely, and it really is just about the easiest thing ever to do to protect yourself. All you need is the Ethernet cable that comes with a router when you pull it out of the box or installed by a cable company, and the manual that comes with the router. By using the cable to plug directly into the router, a computer can access the router’s internal settings using an Internet browser. The address (usually in the form of what’s called an IP address, generally 192.168.1.1 or something similar) gets you into the router’s inner workings, but you need the cable to access it, so it can’t be altered remotely. The router’s manufacturer password is also included in the manual (usually it’s “admin” or “password”), and you should change that too from the settings menu for added internal security to keep prying eyes out.

From there, it’s usually as simple as going to the security settings for your router and activating an encrypted password called a WEP or WPA key. This is presented in the form of a long chain of letters and numbers that the router can generate for you. You can specify a password of your own, but the router’s generated key is a much stronger encryption than using a password someone might be able to guess. Most modern computers will save passwords when you connect to your home Wi-Fi network, so you shouldn’t need to specify the network password again when signing onto the Internet, unless something gets reset.

2. Turn on MAC address filtering and router firewalls

While it is absolutely essential to use a password or encryption key to keep your Wi-Fi network secure, there are a number of other easy steps to make it even more protected.

Each computer that uses your network has a specific number attached to it called a “MAC (Media Access Control) address.” This is actually a physical number assigned to the actual Wi-Fi adapter hardware in your computer or mobile device. From the internal settings of your router, you can determine the MAC addresses of the computers that you want to be able to access your network and specify them to the router. Any device that doesn’t have the right MAC address will be denied access.

In order to set MAC addresses, you’ll need to have the devices you want to be able to use on your network connected so you can see their addresses in the router’s “MAC Address” section. There, you can usually just click a button that turns on the router’s MAC limiting setting, and then select which addresses are allowed access to the network.

Most routers also have an internal firewall program you can enable from the settings menu. This is anti-hacking software that makes a network more difficult to access from the outside, and turning it on is generally really easy. It’s also a good idea to protect your computers and devices with firewall software (Windows has one built in, but it’s not a bad idea to invest in better ones) that you can buy commercially to protect your data even further.

There is a slight inconvenience with MAC address filters, as they can complicate things whenever you want to add a new device to your network. So if your wife's cousin wants to connect to the network, for instance, you'll need to go back and add his MAC address to the router's list. Of course, this is a small price to pay for added security.

3. Change your network’s SSID and make it invisible

From within the same settings menus that you adjusted the MAC settings and turned on your encryption key, you can also set whether your Wi-Fi network is “discoverable.” This means that the router won’t broadcast its ID information (called the SSID) over the air for other devices to lock onto. Only devices that know to look for the router, like the ones you’ve already authorized to connect to it, will be able to use your connection.

Generally, you’ll find the ability to alter discoverability in the security tab of your router’s settings browser window. It’s usually a button that discusses making your network discoverable or disabling SSID broadcast. This is also a good opportunity to change your router’s SSID to something other than the manufacturer preset. There’s a reason you see so many networks named "Linksys" or "D-Link" -- those are routers that have their manufacturer defaults still activated, and they suggest to hackers that the passwords are still set to defaults as well. Either way, it’s easier for someone to get into your network when they have more information, and a manufacturer SSID doesn’t help. Change it, then make it invisible. Just remember: You don’t want your network discoverable, and you don’t want your router to broadcast its SSID. Turn those things off.

4. Assign IP addresses to your devices

This gets a bit technical, but like the MAC address filtering, it’s not nearly as complex as it at first seems. Each device that connects to the Internet does so using what’s called an IP address. Most networks use a system called “dynamic IP addresses,” which means that every time you connect to your network, the system assigns a temporary IP address to your system. That’s easy, but it also means anyone jacking into your network can get a temporary address just as easily as you can.

Instead, look for a tab in your router’s setup menu that lets you set “static IP addresses.” Like MAC filtering, you should be able to see the addresses of your devices at the moment; write them down, or specify a series of numbers to the router when you’re prompted to. These look complex (they’re usually long, like the 192.168.1.1 address), but that doesn’t mean they have to be complicated. You can actually set addresses with the same sets of numbers up front, but alter the numbers at the end to keep them consistent and easy to remember for you, but more difficult for intruders to access.

Once you set static IP addresses, you’ll have to use the numbers you wrote down on your computers when they try to connect to the network. In your Network Settings, you can specify a device’s IP address so that it always uses the same number, then you can tell your router to only allow device’s using those specified addresses to connect. While the MAC filtering will keep out some less in-the-know network jumpers, more complex hackers can get around that technology; they’ll have more trouble with your static, filtered IP addresses.

5. Avoid open, unprotected Wi-Fi networks

This is more for when you’re out in the world than at home, using your computer or smartphone to try to access the Internet when you’re at the airport or in other places. Beware of open, access-free networks. If they’re open to you, that means they’re open to other people, too, and your sensitive information can be plucked out of the air by people who have a little bit of expertise in this area.

“Free Public Wi-Fi,” for example, is a network that will often pop up in public places when you’re searching for a network. Don’t connect to it, though, as it isn’t really a free public network, and could very well be a quick and easy way for someone with ill intentions to get access to your computer.

For the most part, the best thing you can do is avoid open networks you don’t trust whenever possible. If you do decide to access an open network, limit what you do on it. Don’t access sensitive websites or use important data like your bank passwords while attached to the network. You should also take steps to keep your computer from saving sensitive Internet information that could be accessed later, like a history or cookies cache. These are bits of data your web browser saves from websites to make accessing them easier later. When you tell a website to save your password, for example, it leaves a “cookie,” or small program, on your browser for use later. You can easily clear these from your browser’s settings menu.

These are simple steps you can take to protect your network, your data and your privacy, but the technical aspect often frightens off people who aren’t familiar with their Internet hardware. Trust us when we say that it’s usually less complicated than it appears. Consult your router’s manual if you need to, and look for the keywords in your router’s settings menu: things like “encryption key,” “firewall,” “disabling broadcasting and IP” and “MAC address filters” are good. Once you set them up and write the numbers down, you should be able to breathe a little easier knowing your access to the Internet is protected.

Right-click profile name.nk2, and then click Copy.

TIP You can copy the file to removable media, such as a floppy disk or a CD, and then copy the file to the correct location on the other computer. Or you can attach the file to an e-mail message and send the message to yourself. On the new computer, open the attachment in Outlook, and then save it to the correct location.

On the computer where you want to populate the AutoComplete feature, copy the file to drive:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.
If the Outlook user profile name is different on the computer where you are moving the .nk2 file, you must rename the file with the same Outlook user profile name after you copy it to the correct folder. For example, if you move Kim Akers.nk2 from the original computer with an Outlook user profile name of Kim Akers, and you copy the Kim Akers.nk2 file to the new computer, you must rename it with the Outlook profile name being used on the new computer.
When prompted about replacing the existing file, click Yes.
Open Outlook to view changes.

The new trailer for Marvel Studios’ Thor (out May 6) starts not with booming explosions, but some laughs. It seems Thor (Star Trek‘s Chris Hemsworth) is swinging his hammer toward our funny bone.

This involves the god-hero getting tazed, Natalie Portman raising her eyebrows doubtfully as she tells the hospital his “name,” and Kat Dennings Facebooking the Marvel character’s voracious appetite for PopTarts.

Then things get heavy. Check it out below:

As you can see, the new trailer also giving us the first sustained look at the trio of villains he will face on his humbling mission to protect Earth (thanks for turning on the charm, Natalie Portman). First: Thor’s brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston, whom we’ll see more of in Steven Spielberg’s War Horse), a bitter sibling out to undercut Thor and usurp their father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins). “A brother who is unhappy is a dangerous relative to have,” director Kenneth Branagh tells EW. (Yes, that Kenneth Branagh.)

Villain No. 2 is a bit frostier. “The story involves a clash with an ice planet,” says Branagh, “and the frost giants who live therein. They — as might be suggested by the name — are enormous creatures of incredible power who have been robbed of their power and glory by Odin, Thor’s father. What fuels a lot of this intense battle is revenge. This is an angry race, trying to get back at Thor and the Asgardians, the self-proclaimed guardians of the universe.”

The final villain is “an incredible war machine known as The Destroyer,” Branagh says. That’s the massive, metal giant whose face opens up to reveal projectile hellfire. “This series of metal bands form a giant, walking beast and open to reveal terrifying firepower,” he says, and the ruler of Asgard controls it. (Although maybe it responds to “Klaatu Barada Nikto“?)

“In the right hands, this incredibly powerful device — awesome in its killing quality — is potentially a creature of extraordinary protective powers,” says the director. “In the wrong hands, it is a nightmare.”
