Blogging is a great way to share your expertise and knowledge. It is also a great way to help boost your company web presence.&lt;br /&gt;

It's pretty simple maths really. The more content you have on the web, then clearly the more chance you have of being found.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
But you cannot just throw up any information. It should be relevant to what you do, and always something you know. Don't just write content for the sake of it, write it when you have something to say. That way, yes you are helping your online web presence, but also you will become more engaging for your readers who will start to look to you for the resources they need.&lt;br /&gt;

Like Facebook, Google Plus insists you have a personal page first, they want the person to engage as well as the business. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Pages appear not to be limited, you can have as many as you can handle. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
You do need to create a gmail account before you can create a personal profile, and once that is set up, it is clear where you go to create a business page (unlike Facebook who have never made that easy). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
So, please feel free to share this link and get started with your new Google Plus Business Page... because we&amp;nbsp;know this will change the way google ranks a website. &lt;br /&gt;

Now Linked In have created a "Company Status Update" that goes to your Company Followers, rather than appearing on your connections status update area.&lt;br /&gt;
I guess this means we now have to work on gaining Company Followers too. &lt;br /&gt;
Linked In are also allowing us to see stattistics about your status updates, like Facebook, showing the number of impressions a post received, and the percentage of interaction.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
All this additional information should make us all much better Social Media Marketeers, as we understand our online user visitor behaviour more and more. &lt;br /&gt;

The more property you own, the better the position you are in. Using things like Facebook, Twitter, Linked In are all great, but you should be looking to enhance this just a little more.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Claim yoru name on as many portals and properties aas you can actively cope wioth, link them together as much as possible and track the results.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Once you begin to track, you will soon start to see where your target audience is and can add more similar web properties to your portfolio.&lt;br /&gt;

I decided to look at the all time stats for keywords people are using to find my blog.&lt;br /&gt;
So, my statistic clearly showed that people are looking at my blog for free resources. The key words used all related to one thing "Free Press Release Websites"&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
What does this tell me? Well, it shows me that if I want people to look at my website for these search terms too, then I need to include the same free resources. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
What it also tells me is that despite the focus on offering hints and tips on all things &lt;a href="http://www.totalwsinetsolutions.com/"&gt;internet marketing&lt;/a&gt;, people simply want the free list of press release websites that I have previously provided. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

The main points are that most websites in the UK are now illegal.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The new law has come into place to help protect people's privacy.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
For example, if you search for "cars" in Google, they uses cookies to remember  this. Later in the day, on another website, Google may target car ads at you  because they remember who you are. This might not sound too scary until you  think how many thousands of searches you do on Google, and &lt;a href="http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/#toc-faq"&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;span style="color: #0066cc;"&gt;how  much they may&amp;nbsp; know about you&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/a&gt; as a result.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The vast majority of small websites don't do this of course, but they do track  visitors to their website, e.g. via a tool like Google Analytics, and they use  social media plugins like Facebook Like buttons.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Most EU websites will need to change, or break the law.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Over 92% of websites use cookies at the moment. They'll either have to stop  using cookies, or start asking for permission.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;

This morning we received a phone call from our customer, who also happens to be an associate business that we work very closely with. They are appearing in the Times Newspaper today, an article about how smaller comoanies can use branding and web marketing to make them look much larger than they really are, and so attract larger clients.&lt;br /&gt;

Having asked how this came about the instant reply was “Twitter!”&lt;br /&gt;
Having delivered a Social Media training course to them, and offered advice over the years, Twitter has proved to be very successful for them, and a conversation was started with the Times Newspaper as a direct result of their Social Media Networking.&lt;br /&gt;
So we started to think back to other successes we have had for our clients.&lt;br /&gt;
These included creating a website that was found by Channel 4 Television. They wanted a landscape gardener to work with them renovating the gardens of two cottages in London for their “Property Ladder” television programme with Sarah Beeny, and as a direct result of SEO on a website, a contract was signed between our client and Channel 4 Television.&lt;br /&gt;
But I guess the greatest coo of all was for a client who makes and sells maps in all sorts of medium. As a direct result on a Press Release that was pushed online, a company asked our client to work with them to develop the largest (and most beautiful) Atlas ever made – Earth&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Another press release was created and pushed out online, and it was picked up by the National Newspapers, Local Televison and Local Radio too. This was followed by a call from David Bellamy who worked with our client to promote the Atlas.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Another Press release with more offline PR of course and eventually our client appeared on Blue Peter! It is great to know that our efforts played a part in our client receiving a Blue Peter Badge!&lt;br /&gt;

So much so that it really stands out from the crowd is  being the very best pof the lot. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;So what platform I hear you ask? &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As a Google Girl, i am very happy to say it was the free Google Blog found at Blogger.com &lt;/p&gt;Give  it a try, and let me know your own thoughts.
