I just wanted to update you what I have been doing this couple of weeks. Manual Link Building – How could it be White hat?

I think the word scale has a lot of hidden meaning when it comes to link building and SEO. People are always looking for a way to scale things up in business, and SEO is no different. Except that there is one major problem when it comes to scale and link building the right way (not even going to say “white hat”): and that is that if you want to scale link building up using a system, it’s never going to be white hat (unless you are SUPER creative). Why is this? Because link building is like meeting people.

• Manual link building is tough.
• Manual link building takes time.
• Manual link building can represent spam if not done right.
• Manual link building requires outreach that is personalized.
• Manual link building requires “15 minute long emails and grinding out 5-15 links a week.”

Where exactly is SEO heading? Nowhere. First, there is no such thing as different colored hat. Sites which ranked by doing all wrong stuff are into oblivion. Obviously, the sites, which followed the right path, rank better. Still more is to come. Penguin is only the beginning. Keyword stuffing, buying of links and other such practices will not reap any rewards.

The same content was published into several sub folders of the site. Through pingbacks, I found they totaled 12 in numbers all with the competitive keyword. All I can do for now is to dilute the links by building more.

Moral: SEO is easy but the rules are now stricter than ever.
