			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Recently, a client wondered why they got a terrible response from an e-mail broadcast&#8230; Here are some of the e-mail marketing blunders committed that you want to avoid at ANY COST. Sure some of them seem obvious, but they are worth considering if you want to get the best results possible when executing email marketing campaigns.</p>
<h1>E-mail Marketing Blunder #1</h1>
<p><span id="more-615"></span>Don&#8217;t wait until the last minute and rush what needs to be done. Everything takes longer than planned. Rushing it means you are going to risk making mistakes that will reduce your results &#8211; either a link won&#8217;t work, there will be a typo in the worst place possible or something just as annoying that is PREVENTABLE.</p>
<h1>E-mail Marketing Blunder #2</h1>
<p>Don&#8217;t send an unbranded e-mail – it needs to come from you with full logo branding. No branding = no credibility. This is critically important. If you are sending an e-mail in TEXT format, the FROM address is the branding followed by the company name that BUILDS RAPPORT and REINFORCES your brand.</p>
<h1>E-mail Marketing Blunder #3</h1>
<p>Test whether TEXT is better than HTML. SPAM e-mails are usually sent in TEXT format because they cost less to prepare. Your clients will tell you which one they prefer &#8211; the CTR and OPEN rates will tell you. Not knowing this is going to hurt your e-mail deliverability rates.</p>
<h1>E-mail Marketing Blunder #4</h1>
<p>Allowing an unsubscribe option is STANDARD procedure that is assumed. In Australia, it&#8217;s required by the Spam Act. Of course this does not apply to single e-mails sent between people, but the minute you broadcast a mass e-mail, you have to include this even if it&#8217;s just a paragraph at the end of the email that says &#8220;To unsubscribe, simple reply to this e-mail with UNSUBSCRIBE as the subject line.&#8221;</p>
<h1>E-mail Marketing Blunder #5</h1>
<p>When you send the e-mail is as important as WHO you send it to. Whatever the call to action is, you must factor this into the transmission. If you don&#8217;t give people enough time to plan to attend an event, your opt-in or registration rates are going to be dismal. Of course the million-dollar question is what is the best lead-up time? You know the answer to this by now&#8230; You MUST TEST it. Your audience will tell you. 4 weeks might be too far ahead (people will forget about it) and less than 1 week might be too short (can&#8217;t change prior commitments).</p>
<p>Of course the follow-up and follow-through of additional e-mails will influence this timing &#8211; if you have weekly reminders, that could substantially improve results &#8211; lack of confirmation messages could also destroy results.</p>
<p>As you can well understand, the more strategic you are about your e-mail marketing tactics, the better the results will be.</p>
<p>Successful strategies are ALL about deployment.</p>
<p>It’s unfortunate when a golden opportunity has been lost. This is why people who deploy properly get such OUTSTANDING results – there are too many reasons to compromise, ways to cut corners and otherwise come up short.</p>
<p>One of the foundational principles I teach people in my <a href="http://exponentialprograms.com/internet/memberships/">programs</a> is about the ‘missing 10%’&#8230;</p>
<p>The 10% that eludes most people – the 10% that makes all the difference – in this case there were so many blunders committed that the client never got close to the missing 10%, but the principle is the same. Without the missing 10% there are NO RESULTS.</p>
<p>People wrongly think 90% effort, 90% result. Not so.</p>
<p>50 , 60, 70, 80, even 90% usually produces ZERO result which is why most people get so dejected and disappointed- they fail to realise that it would have taken VERY LITTLE EXTRA EFFORT to get ALL the rewards&#8230;</p>
<p>Top careers are made, abundant wealth obtained and real success achieved by ONLY A FEW&#8230;</p>
<p>The FEW who do what others don’t.</p>
<p>The FEW who do out-of-the-ordinary things to get extra-ordinary results.</p>
<p>The FEW that have courage.</p>
<p>The FEW that have political currency and know how to trade it.</p>
<p>The FEW who are  leaders.</p>
<p>The FEW who have a vision.</p>
<p>The FEW with discipline to follow through the details.</p>
<p>The FEW with the determination to remove obstacles and fight the forces of negativity.</p>
<p>The FEW who have faith in the plan and themselves to make it a reality.</p>
<p>MOST people lack some or most of these attributes.</p>
<p>That’s WHY the REWARDS for the FEW who have these traits is so GREAT.</p>
<p>These strategies work for companies and individuals of all shapes, sizes, budgets and resources.</p>
<p>The fundamental requirement is for someone to BELIEVE and GET BEHIND IT 100% WITHOUT RESERVATION, DOUBT OR HESITATION AND MAKE IT HAPPEN.</p>
<p>It’s no different to sport – ANY hesitation and the point will be lost. You have to play with the EXPECTATION and COMMITMENT to win.</p>
<p>Otherwise don’t get on the field or court.</p>
<p>If you lose a game – LEARN THE LESSON and use that lesson for the next game, match or tournament.</p>
<p>Or retire and/or pick another sport.</p>
<p>The Internet is the easiest thing that is hard to do &#8211; primarily because people make it more complicated than it is.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Should I spend time on <a href="http://www.facebook.com">FaceBook</a>? I get this question a lot. Here&#8217;s my answer&#8230; Time is our most valuable resource&#8230; If you’re having fun, that’s cool. But realise you&#8217;re having fun &#8211; not achieving your goals by chatting, tweeting and following other peoples&#8217; lives&#8230;</p>
<p>What would happen if you invested that much time into your income generation, business-building efforts, can you imagine what you could achieve&#8230;?!?!?</p>
<p>But then again life is NOT about just working&#8230; REALLY IT&#8217;S NOT!</p>
<p><span id="more-606"></span>I just don’t have that much time to ‘socialise’ this way – it’s not something I EVER did – it’s not what drives me or interests me.</p>
<p>Plus I love doing what I do which means it’s not ‘work’ for me – but once again&#8230; I’m not like most people&#8230;</p>
<p>Does that make sense?</p>
<p>Without being accusatory – we’re reasons or results. I like to get results – make money, travel, get more people to change their lives&#8230; Etc.</p>
<p>I get up every morning with ONE OUTCOME &#8211; to create $20 to $50 million in value for my clients. Who gets what is up to them. I know if they are spending a lot of time on FaceBook or MySpace, his/her share will be smaller than someone else who uses his or her time more productively.</p>
<p>FaceBook just doesn’t do it for me. I just don&#8217;t see the point of spending hours and hours online with people I hardly know and even with people I do know &#8211; time value of money comes back into play.</p>
<p>It’s not a value judgment, different strokes for different folks – horses for courses as they say.</p>
<p>The only question you need to ask yourself is&#8230;</p>
<p>&#8220;Is this what I want and should be doing right now?&#8221;</p>
<p>If that&#8217;s looking at people&#8217;s photos and posts on FaceBook &#8211; fair dinkum.</p>
<p>Life is to be lived &#8211; but I get a LOT of people who want better results, want to make more money yet waste so much time&#8230;</p>
<p>One case which needs to remain anonymous &#8211; she was spending 1 to 1.5 hours PER DAY online with friends&#8230; That is 10 hours per week. She was practically broke, in a dead-end job. She INSTANTLY stopped cold turkey, quit her job and re-aligning her time and FOCUS, she is on track to DOUBLE her income within 12 months. She just closed a $500,000 deal with her new company and she&#8217;s now on a commission plan which means she can make as much money as she wants!</p>
<p>But that was her CHOICE &#8211; to stop hiding and start LIVING her life on her terms and get better results.</p>
<p>10 hours/week can be all you need to get to where you&#8217;d be really happy. An extra $10,000 or $20,000 per year in your bank account&#8230; to take a vacation or travel in BUSINESS class instead of ECONOMY&#8230;</p>
<p>Like I said &#8211; it&#8217;s your CHOICE!</p>

<p>Yes I have a FaceBook page, but I spend at most 5 to 10 minutes PER WEEK updating it&#8230;</p>

Below are a few suggestions to solve some common website problems that are both quick and easy to implement.</p>

<p><strong>Problem:</strong> <em>Do you make it hard for prospects to find what they&#8217;re looking for?</em><span id="more-567"></span></p>
<p><strong>Solution:</strong> <em>Step inside your prospect&#8217;s shoes and walk around the website in their frame of mind. Are you finding what you want? Or are your frustrated beyond belief? Then make the appropriate changes.</em></p>
<p><strong>What You Can Do About It:</strong> This problem is like the black plague for internet businesses. So many online businesses fail because people can&#8217;t find what they REALLY want on their website.</p>
<p>The key here is to make it as easy as possible. Have all of your &#8220;hottest buttons&#8221; front and center. Make your best offers in plain sight. Don&#8217;t make your prospect work for it, because they won&#8217;t. They&#8217;ll just go to your competitor&#8217;s website, which if easier to navigate will make the sales you should and could have made!</p>

<p><strong>What You Can Do About It:</strong> This is CRUCIAL to any service provider. In order to highlight your skills, you must show your prospects what you&#8217;ve done in the past. That&#8217;s why testimonials are so important to your business.</p>
<p>And don&#8217;t just throw anything testimonial up there. Make sure they&#8217;re GOOD. Get your clients to talk about how you&#8217;ve changed their lives, made them more money, gave them a better future, etc.</p>
<p>And here&#8217;s an exponential idea: Write the testimonial FOR them. Word it exactly the way you want, then simply ask for an approval to use it. It&#8217;s fast, easy, and most of the time you&#8217;ll get exactly what you want.</p>
<p>There is a craft to asking and getting the testimonials you need &#8211; it of course depends on what you come up with once you&#8217;ve done <strong>Dr Dussault&#8217;s Demographic Descriptors</strong> so that you MATCH the testimonial to its target audience.</p>

<p><strong>Solution:</strong> <em>Put your strongest selling points front and center on the top of the page or even on the main page.</em></p>
<p><strong>What You Can Do About It:</strong> If you have something that offers value and separates your product or service from the rest, make sure your visitors know about it by putting it on your home page or &#8216;above the fold&#8217; on your landing page. Don&#8217;t just mention it in passing.</p>
<p>Go give your website the facelift it needs this week. Take a closer look at the offers&#8230;the copy&#8230;the design&#8230;the meta tags&#8230;anything that could be improved. I promise you you&#8217;ll be surprised at the money you&#8217;re leaving on the table&#8230;money that can easily be yours instead of your competitors!</p>

The VALUE comes from &#8211; you guessed it&#8230; &#8220;Everyone having a fax&#8221; NOT the fax itself. I&#8217;ll prove it to you &#8211; what is the world&#8217;s #1 selling fax?</p>
<p>WHO CARES?</p>
<p>That&#8217;s my point &#8211; NO ONE cares. It&#8217;s NOT about the fax, never was, never will be.</p>
<p><strong>It&#8217;s not about the Internet either. Never was, never will be.</strong></p>
<p>Therein lies the dilemma with Internet Marketers who have been duped into thinking it&#8217;s about the Internet&#8230; Internet Marketers are programmed to keep buying $27 and $47 products that reinforce the &#8216;FAX&#8217; mentality&#8230;</p>

<p class="TTP_textindent">By now, you already know how powerful links can be when it comes to your search engine optimization (SEO) efforts. Simply put, a link is a shortcut to quickly get you from one website to another. If you can harness the power of the link, you can make your website or blog a force to be reckoned with. That means higher search engine rankings, more traffic to your site, and, eventually, more customers and more money in your pocket.</p>
<p class="TTP_textindent">Ka-Ching!</p>
<h1 class="TTP_textindent"><span style="font-size: medium;">Link Juice Defined</span></h1>
<p class="TTP_textindent">So you ask, what is link juice? In short, it&#8217;s the key to your popularity with the search engines. The more you have, the higher you can rank in the search engines’ results.</p>
<p class="TTP_textindent">To understand link juice, you first need to understand another SEO term: <strong> Link Popularity</strong>.<span id="more-582"></span></p>
<h1 class="TTP_textindent"><span style="font-size: medium;">Link Popularity Defined</span></h1>
<p class="TTP_textindent"><strong>Link Popularity</strong> is a metric that most search engines use to gauge the “popularity” of a webpage based on how many other webpages link to it. You could think of it this way: Each link to a webpage that a search engine finds on the Internet counts as a vote for the page it’s linking to. The more links that are pointing to one of your webpages, the more “popular” a search engine will consider that page to be. Sounds simple enough right?</p>
<p class="TTP_textindent">Search engines consider popular pages to be highly <strong>relevant</strong>. Since they are interested in presenting the most <strong>relevant</strong> search results to their users, they’ll give popular pages a high ranking. And this will improve your SEO, put your website or blog in front of more search engine users, and ultimately result in more traffic and more potential sales.</p>
<p class="TTP_textindent">But that doesn’t mean you should ask all your friends to link to your site. You don’t want a link from just anybody. <strong>You want links from sites with lots of link juice</strong>.</p>
<p class="TTP_textindent"><strong>Link juice is a way to describe the “weight” a specific link might carry. A link with more weight is going to be more important to the search engines.</strong></p>
<p class="TTP_textindent">Here’s a metaphor of what link juice means.</p>
<p class="TTP_textindent">Let’s say you’re trying to get a job. You&#8217;ll agree that your potential employer is going to be more impressed by recommendations from your boss at your previous company than he will by recommendations from your mailman or your dentist. You could have 100 letters of recommendation from your college buddies, but one powerful letter from the CEO of a business you used to work for will do a lot more to convince him to hire you.</p>
<p class="TTP_textindent">It’s the same with the search engines.</p>
<p class="TTP_textindent">Each webpage has a certain amount of clout &#8211; or <strong>link juice</strong> &#8211; that it can pass to another page. How much is not really something you can accurately measure, but you can get an idea of how good a link is (how much link juice it has) by looking at a few variables:</p>
<h1 class="TTP_textindent"><span style="font-size: medium;">How To Assess Link Juice Step #1</span></h1>
<p><strong>How many links are pointing to the page?</strong> If a page has hundreds or thousands of links pointing to it, chances are the links on that page have good link juice that can be passed on to outside pages (like your page).</p>
<p>Let’s say <a href="http://australianblogs.com.au/add-your-blog">www.AustralianBlogs.com.au </a>has a ton of link juice. If you have an Australian blog and get this site to link to you, it could pass on a lot of link juice. (It’s like getting a job recommendation from the top dog in your industry.)</p>

<h1 class="TTP_textindent"><span style="font-size: medium;">How To Assess Link Juice Step #2</span></h1>
<p><strong>How many outgoing links does that page have?</strong> Pages with too many outgoing links (20 or more) usually have less link juice than pages with 10 or fewer outgoing links. That’s because sites with too many links to outside sites aren’t as choosy.</p>
<p>Think about it this way: If a food critic rates every restaurant she visits as “5-star,” you might not believe she’s got a very discerning palate. But if she gives her top recommendation only to a few restaurants, you would be more inclined to try them out. After all, they are the only restaurants she likes out of thousands.</p>
<p>If a page has lots of links pointing to it and a small number of links pointing out, it’s probably a good page with plenty of link juice. A link on that site pointing to your site would be beneficial to you.</p>
<h1 class="TTP_textindent"><span style="font-size: medium;">How To Assess Link Juice Step #3</span></h1>
<p><strong>Is the page that links to you in a similar niche?</strong> It’s important to build up links to your site, but you must make sure those links come from sites that complement yours. In other words, don’t request links from sites that are about scrapbooking if your business is about financial services.</p>
<p>Search engines call this relevance- the more relevant the links, the more juice you get!</p>
<p>Of course when you&#8217;re starting out, even a few drops of link juice can have HUGE benefits&#8230; So link as much as you can and THEN become more choosy as your rankings improve. After all, beggars can&#8217;t be choosers!</p>
<h1 class="TTP_textindent"><span><span style="font-size: medium;">How To Assess Link Juice Step #4</span></span></h1>
<p><strong>How much &#8216;real&#8217; content does the page have? </strong>Pages that have very little content and are mostly made up of outgoing links have less link juice to offer. The best links are usually from pages that have lots of “real” content and a small number of incoming links.</p>
<p>Content is valuable when considering BOTH quantity and quality. When both are present, you get the MULTIPLIER EFFECT working for you. Lots of <a href="http://www.marcdussault.com/videos#10"><strong>Long Tail Keywords </strong></a>AND high quality traffic.</p>
<p>Once you’ve found a site that has a lot of link juice, request a link from it. Remember, the more link juice you can get, the higher you will rank with the search engines. That will start the process &#8211; give it time to &#8216;percolate&#8217; down to you. It&#8217;s not necessarily &#8216;instant&#8217;. It can take up to 2-3 weeks for it to become noticeable.</p>
<p>In some extreme cases of POORLY SEO optimised sites, the effect can be IMMEDIATE and SIGNIFICANT, but that just really means you&#8217;re starting from a lower datum or reference point.</p>
<p>Whatever you do, make sure you drink your link juice regularly!</p>

The first thing I did was ask him to translate the sales page which has been uploaded to the site.</p>
<p>With this text, I was able to run it through Rapid Reader and create a YouTube Video. I sent the URL to Cristian who then edited the Title and Tags.</p>

<p>I have no idea if she is any of these things, but I&#8217;m not going to meet with her just because she&#8217;s in Sydney &#8211; it doesn&#8217;t work that way &#8211; not in my world.</p>
<p>Your time is valuable &#8211; if you give it away to anyone who asks for it, no wonder you&#8217;re stressed out and overwhelmed&#8230;</p>
<p>Without getting on my soap box about value of time, this is about how NOT to ask for an invitation to meet on Linked In, if you want to meet people who are WORTH MEETING.</p>
<p>Anyone who answers this request is doing it for social reasons &#8211; not business, to think otherwise is fooling yourself. It&#8217;s no different than all those &#8216;meet and greet&#8217; cocktails, breakfasts and lunches &#8211; the TIME spent going, attending and returning rarely, if ever, justifies it &#8211; UNLESS the presentation on its own is that good.</p>
