That is a substantial amount of time &#8211; don&#8217;t try to get longer videos, research has shown that less is more &#8211; more people will watch shorter videos. Only use longer videos for education and information to EXISTING prospects and clients.</p>
<p>To use their videos, you just need to cut and paste the embed code on the right hand side of the video on the YouTube page. It&#8217;s that simple &#8211; if you don&#8217;t know what I&#8217;m talking about &#8211; ask your webmaster, he/she will know. If not, get someone else to help you with your website.</p>

<p><strong>Radio</strong> With online sites streaming music for free they do not bother, as  services such as last.fm do this advert free and users can choose the songs  they want instead of listening to what the radio presenter/DJ chooses</p>
<p><strong>Newspapers</strong> No teenager that I know of regularly reads a newspaper, as  most do not have the time and cannot be bothered to read pages and pages of  text while they could watch the news summarised on the internet or on TV</p>
<p><strong>Internet</strong> Facebook is the most common, with nearly everyone with an  internet connection registered. On the other hand, teenagers do not use  Twitter</p>
<p><strong>Music</strong> They are very reluctant to pay for it (most having never bought a  CD) Teenagers from higher income families use iPods and those from lower  income families use mobile phones</p>
<p><strong>Directories</strong> Real directories contain listings for builders and  florists, which are services teenagers do not require. They can get the  information free on the internet</p>
<p><strong>Viral/Outdoor Marketing</strong> “Most teenagers enjoy and support viral  marketing&#8230; Teenagers see adverts on websites (pop-ups, banner ads) as  extremely annoying and pointless&#8230;they are portrayed in such a negative  light that no one follows them.”</p>
<p><strong>Cinema </strong>Teenagers visit the cinema more often when they are in the lower  end of teendom but as they approach 15 they go to the cinema a lot less.  This is because of the pricing; at 15 they have to pay the adult price. Also  it is possible to buy a pirated DVD of the film at the time of release, and  these cost much less than a cinema ticket</p>
<p><strong>Mobile phones</strong> The general view is that Sony Ericsson phones are  superior, because of their long list of features, built-in Walkman capacity  and value.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I need to say this &#8211; Social Networking sites are a mirror of who you are to the entire world. I know you think it&#8217;s private, but it&#8217;s not. I don&#8217;t have time to get into the details, other than to say that the image you project on these sites can be killing your career, business and sales. I just can&#8217;t believe the stuff people post on there. Without naming names, there are a handful of people that I have seen post stuff that has totally &#8216;turned me off&#8217; and in one case lose total respect for that person. I thought she was a professional only to have her reveal herself as an infantile, insecure and self-absorbed person that I would never want to be associated with.</p>
<p>I realise that this is an extreme case, but others are destroying what little &#8216;persona&#8217; and brand they have by offending or otherwise diluting any social equity they might have built up &#8211; then they wonder why they are unemployed or otherwise struggling in business or their careers&#8230;</p>
<p>That&#8217;s all I really have to say about it in a public forum like this &#8211; I just needed to get that off my chest &#8211; I&#8217;ve just seen too many examples in the past 2-3 weeks to stay silent.</p>

Of course using KEYWORDS in the subject line that you can search for is even better &#8211; what I mean by KEYWORD is NOT SEO KEYWORDS, but the words you&#8217;ll use to search. For example I have an event called <a href="http://exponentialprograms.com/internet/itm/">Internet Technical Mastery</a> with the acronym ITM, so I use it in the subject line so that I can quickly find messages relating to it.</p>
<p>Of course here, I am referring to &#8216;internal&#8217; e-mails &#8211; there are multiple strategies for mass e-mail broadcasts, but that&#8217;s a discussion for another day. <p>Many people ask me what implications &#8220;domain name class&#8221; have on SEO and Pay Per Click (e.g. Google AdWords) rankings and results.</p>
<p>&#8220;Domain name class&#8221; is another word for &#8220;Top Level Domain&#8221;, or the extension on the end of your domain name (e.g. .com, .net, .com.au).  In particular, you should know the implications that <strong>country code top level domains</strong> (or ccTLD for short) can have on your search engine marketing efforts.</p>
<h2><strong>ccTLDs and Organic Search Engine Optimisation</strong></h2>
<p><strong> </strong>Should your &#8220;main&#8221; website URL be a .com.au if you&#8217;re primarily targeting Australia?</p>
<p><strong><span id="more-667"></span>Yes.<br />
</strong><br />
A site with a country-specific top level domain will rank better in that country than elsewhere, although you do see other websites with other countries&#8217; ccTLDs ranking in <a href="http://google.co.uk/">google.co.uk</a> , <a href="http://google.co.nz/">google.co.nz</a> and so on.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re primarily interested in targeting Australia, you should definitely go with a .com.au domain.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re interested in targeting multiple places, the tactics get a little more involved, but for one nation, this is fine.</p>
<p>Another option suggested by <a href="http://www.marketing-results.com.au">Internet Marketing Strategist</a> <strong>Will Swayne</strong> of <a href="http://www.marketing-results.com.au">Marketing Results</a> is to go with a .com (or .net, .org, etc) but <strong>geo-target the domain</strong> to the correct country within the domain&#8217;s <a href="http://www.google.com.au/webmasters/">Google Webmaster Tools</a> account.</p>
<p>This presumably works just as well, but a .com.au is really a sure thing in terms of telling Google where your intended audience is.</p>
<h2><strong>ccTLDs and Pay Per Click (e.g. Google AdWords) Performance</strong></h2>
<p><strong>How about ccTLDs and Google AdWords performance?</strong></p>
<p>The domain name you display in your ads or &#8220;Display URL&#8221; can certainly influence the click through rates and performance of your ads, and a country-specific domain name (YourSite.com.au ) will nearly always perform better than the .com (YourSite.com) for users in the target country.</p>
<p>In some cases, the effect can be large (50% or more), which helps to increase your click through rates and decrease your average cost per click.</p>
<p>If you operate in multiple markets, then ideally you should test multiple ccTLDs in each market &#8212; and as a general rule you should avoid serving ads with the &#8220;wrong&#8221; ccTLD in foreign markets.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re targeting multiple countries and you can&#8217;t get hold of a ccTLD for certain countries for whatever reason, then a trusty old .com works best.  Bear in mind that in our tests, .com domains normally perform better than .net, .biz or other extensions &#8212; but your mileage may vary.</p>
<p>As I&#8217;ve always said &#8211; you have to test, test, test!</p>

<p>Just to hammer this point home:</p>

<ul>
<li>1 in 10 people don&#8217;t even give you 10 seconds before they switch off.</li>
<li>About half will give you a full minute before abandoning the video.</li>
<li>9 out of 10 are gone within the first 5 minutes.</li>
</ul>
<p>That basically means UNLESS your audience is SPECIFICALLY TARGETED, your videos won&#8217;t be watched for very long, hence &#8211; LESS IS MORE!</p>
