Do you like to geocache? I have never done it, but think it would be fun, especially if there was a challenge!

This year Kia has sent two pairs of best friends on a challenge. These pairs of friends where to participate in the Zip and Dash to Los Angeles geocache challenge in one of the new cool 2012 Kia Rio 5-door vehicles. Both of these teams have been able to utilize the features of the Kia Rio and make there debut through Los Angeles in search of celebrity Christina Milian.

While on their search, these contestents got to stop at the following spots:

One thing I know about Pink's Hot Dogs is sometimes you might just see a celebrity while standing in line. I don't know about you but I would LOVE to have a rear camera display in my vehicles to help me back up.

Most people that use the internet have their own collection of website bookmarks. I have quite the collection of bookmarks and have them on a couple different computers just so I don’t ever lose them.

When it comes to bookmarking recipes, I have found an alternative way to bookmark then just your old fashioned text description. The site clipix offers a free way to bookmark links, that have an image in addition to the text description. For me, this is a HUGE plus. I LOVE to bookmark recipes, but it is so much easier to find what I am looking for when I have a visual picture of the food at my fingertips.

Not only do I bookmark recipes that I want to try, I also bookmark my own recipes that I make. Take a peek at a screenshot of one of my clipboards on Clipix for my recipes that I have bookmarked.

I am just learning how to use this site, but I think it is a great way to bookmark those links that you want a picture of too! Here are some other ideas on links to click:

• Hair and nail tutorials
• Family activities
• Stuff you want to buy

How you save your bookmarks?

I was VERY sad when I read earlier this month that Picnik is closing on April 19, 2012. With such a wonderful service, I still cannot believe that I won’t be able to use it for that much longer. Since I heard the news, I have been looking for a replacement. I have been looking for programs that are FREE, easy to use and offer the features that I have been using.

I have found a few alternatives to Picnik that you might want to try:

• Be Funky – This is online graphics editor similar to Picnik that has both a free and paid version.
• PhotoScape – A free graphics program that needs to be downloaded, but easy to use.
• PIXLR Express – Another online graphics program that is free and easy to use.

Now these are just a few graphics programs out there that are free and easy to use. These are programs that I am currently using and trying to figure out before I won’t be able to use my favorite features on Picnik. I figure I better try and get prepared now before I am scrambling at the last minute for another program to use.

While I like the online photo editors, I have had some fun with PhotoScape which requires you to download their program. Check out my post I did last week using a picture of the sky and using PhotoScape to make edits. I am also really liking Be Funky, but it doesn’t do the photo collages like Picnik does.

For those that don’t have medical insurance and pay for prescriptions, the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club might be able to help save some money. I know that prescriptions are NOT cheap, so this club help families save quite a bit of money each month.

This week I read that many of Walgreen’s customers are going to have to look for a new pharmacist to refill their medications. Last year, Walgreens and Express Script tried to negotiate a new contract and were unsuccessful. The contract expired on December 31, 2011 which has left many of Walgreen’s regular customers scrambling to find a new place to fill their prescriptions. This change has effected all of the Walgreens nationwide as well as Duane Reade pharmacies in New York Area.

My family has used the same pharmacy for years. The pharmacist even know my husband by name since he is one of their regular customers. I know my husband would be upset if he had to switch his pharmacy because of a contract. For some of the customers, having to go find a new pharmacist is not only aggravating, but can also be costly. For some customers, they may now have to drive a further distance for a refill, which could mean extra money spent on gas to get there. If you refill your prescriptions with Walgreens, you can call your pharmacist to see if your prescriptions have been affected.

Walgreens has a way to help those that might be struggling with this disruption or those without insurance that want a way to save money on their prescriptions that they pay out of pocket for. When it comes to Puppies vs. Babies who do you think is cuter? Do you think babies are cuter or are you more of a puppy fan? I am a mom to four children, so I am going to have to go with the babies, but there are some really cute pictures of puppies I have seen. I happen to think that I have a super cute dog and cat that might have just won the contest if I would have submitted a picture or video!
