My husband and I are hoping to move to the Moraira or Benissa area next year. We used to live in Mallorca but had to return to the UK for a while. We have spent long enough in the UK now though and it time to move back to Spain!

We want to move to the Moraira or Benissa area and will come over within the next few months to explore. We have looked at web sites and have seen some great properties. Does anyone know what it is like on the Coma de los Frailes area? Is it easy to get to Moraira from there and is it within walking distance. (We don't mind if its a long walk!)

Also, does anyone know what it is like to live in the Benissa Costa area? Hope you don't mind me asking, but it is great to get advice from people in the know-it will be a great help when we start to explore if we know what the areas are like in advance.

Basically, we want to find a villa with a great sea view and to be not too far from Moraira and the marina area. The only definite requirement is that we will need a good internet connection to do work from home.

I am in the process of planning a trip to alicante with some family and friends for next spring/summer. I have never been to this area. What can people recommend in terms of things to do, restaurants, cultural life, etc? Also we still don't know where we will be staying. We are thinking of renting an apartment or house, since we will be staying 2 weeks or so, and hotels can get a little expensive. What sites/travel agencies are good for booking houses? I have looked into a few, like:

Ideally we would want a spacy villa with a pool, but nothing too expensive or luxurious. I've also researched this site that has nice villas:

If you ask that question right now in Spain the answer is a definite "No way" but then, a few years ago, if you asked the average Brit if the UK should join a lot would have actually said "yes of course" but few think like that now.
Another aspect of all this is whether you are asking the question within or outside the country.
Try "Spain to exit the Euro" in Google and you will find the opinion is around 50/50.
Not a lot is actually written about the recession in Spain and that is probably because very little data is made available for comment but looking at another country with very similar problems -
