Metamorph: The Framework

Metamorph: Como crear el Diagrama de Estados para la aplicación Hello World en Enterprise Architect

Para poder usar un Diagrama de Estados modelado en Enterprise Architect debes realizar los siguientes pasos:

Crea un nuevo proyecto en Enterprise Architect o abre uno existente.
Crea dos nuevos paquetes, uno llamado HelloWorld y el otro Turnstile.

El resultado debe ser el siguiente (ignorando otros paquetes del proyecto):

Haz click derecho sobre el paquete Turnstile y click en adicionar elemento.

Escoge el tipo StateMachine de la lista desplegable.

Escribe Turnstile en el campo nombre y luego click en Ok.

Doble click en el Diagrama de maquinas de estado Turnstile:

Agrega un estado Inicial (Initial) desde la caja de herramientas (toolbox).

Agrega un estado desde la caja de herramientas y escribe Locked en el campo nombre.

Agrega el estado Unlocked siguiendo el paso anterior, el resultado debería ser el siguiente:

Agrega el resto de las transiciones como se muestra en el siguiente diagrama:

Doble click en la transición que va desde el estado Locked al estado Unlocked y escribe “coin” en el campo de nombre del enlace (Link name).

Haz lo mismo para las demás transiciones como se muestra en el siguiente diagrama:

Doble click en la transición llamada "coin" y escribe Metamorph.Examples.HelloWorld.UnlockCondition en el campo condición de guarda (Guard) y Metamorph.Examples.HelloWorld.UnlockAction en el campo efecto (Effect).

Haz lo mismo para las siguientes transiciones:

El resultado debe ser el siguiente:

Selecciona el paquete Turnstile creado con anterioridad y haz click en el item exportar paquete a archivo XMI (Export package to XMI file) del menú.

Escribe el nombre del archivo y la carpeta en el campo Filename. El cuadro de dialogo debe quedar como la siguiente imagen:

Click en el boton de exportar (Export).

Finalmente necesitamos convertir el archivo StateMachine.xmi a un formato que Metamorph entienda. Para lograr esto un paso final es requerido.
- Encuentra la aplicación de consola del conversor llamado Uml2XmlConverter localizado en la distribución de Metamorph en la carpeta Herramientas de soporte (Support Tools).
- Ejecuta la siguiente linea de comando: Uml2XmlConverter C:\ StateMachine.xmi StateMachine.xml

OK. Ya todo está listo :D

Metamorph: How to create the Hello World’s state Diagram in Enterprise Architect

In order to use a State Diagram modeled in Enterprise Architect you have to do following steps:

Create a new Enterprise Architect project or open an existing one.
Create two new packages called HelloWorld and Turnstile.

The results should look like this (ignoring any other project packages):

Right click Turnstile Package and click on add a new element.

Choose the StateMachine type from the drop down list.

Write Turnstile in the name field and click Ok.

Double click on the Turnstile StateMachine Diagram:

Add an Initial State from the toolbox.

Add a state from the toolbox and type Locked in the name field.

Add the Unlocked state by following the same step as above, the results should look like this:

Add the transitions as shown in the following diagram:

Double click on the transition that goes from Locked to Unlocked and type “coin” in the Link name field.

Do the same for the other transitions as shown in the following diagram:

Double click on the transition called coin and type Metamorph.Examples.HelloWorld.UnlockCondition in the guard field and Metamorph.Examples.HelloWorld.UnlockAction in the effect field.

Do the same for the following transitions:

The results should look like this:

Select the Turnstile Package created earlier and click on the Export package to XMI file menu item

Type the file name and folder in the Filename field. The dialog box should look like this:

Click on the Export button.

Finally we need to convert the StateMachine.xmi to a format that Metamorph undestands. In order to do this one final step is required.
- Find the Uml2Xml Converter console application located in the Metamorph distribution under Support Tools.
- Execute the following command line: Uml2XmlConverter C:\ StateMachine.xmi StateMachine.xml

OK. We are good to go :D

My first Post!

After giving a lot of thought and after a little motivation, i have decided at last to create mi own Blog and along with it my first Post, and along with them my first contributions to the web or well my second first contributions to the web. To be honest this has not been an easy task, but here I am trying to write this very first post and in some way trying to show what I really want to achieve with my Blog.

The truth is that I have spent some of my time procrastinating things, I procrastinated the making of my blog, I procrastinated the development of “x” idea, the post, everything was left to be done some time in the future, in the far future. And after so many times that I left everything for some other time, I ended up beginning with my first Blog (luckily for me I ended up doing something positive). I postponed everything thinking about what many have experienced too, insecurity, I thought that I did not know enough, that perhaps my contributions, some of them (I hope not all of them) would be worth nothing, etc., but then i realized, there’s always someone who might like to read about those unworthy thoughts :D, hey I have done it myself, and ended up reading a lot of posts, pretty good posts by the way.

Then finally I cheered up, and the result is this, my first post.
So going into a little more detail but not getting into any, i will be mentioning here little by little some of the projects I have been working in, I will post some information about technology, things I like, and so forth, to sum up every thought, idea, etc., that goes through my mind and that seems to be interesting.

Finally I want to have some fun and to learn quite much creating some applications and frameworks that in addition of being of help to me, can help others in their ideas and developments, it will be interesting.

Mi primer Post!

Después de mucho pensar y luego de una pequeña motivación, me he decidido al fin a crear mi propio Blog y con este mi primer Post, y con todo esto mis primeros aportes en la red o bueno mis segundos primeros aportes en la red. La verdad no ha sido nada fácil, pero aquí estoy tratando de escribir este primer post y que de alguna manera refleje lo que realmente quiero lograr con mi Blog.

La verdad es que me la he pasado dejando muchas cosas para después, después hago el blog, después desarrollo la idea X, después hago el post, después, después. Y después de tantas veces que lo aplacé, termine a la final comenzando por mi primer Blog (para mi suerte terminé con algo positivo). Y es que siempre aplazaba las cosas pensando lo que muchos posiblemente experimentan, inseguridad, pensaba que no sabía lo suficiente, que quizás de mis aportes, algunos (espero que no sean todos) no tendrían ninguna importancia, etc., pero luego pensé siempre hay alguien a quien le gustaría leer sobre las babosadas que uno escribe :D, hey, yo lo he hecho, y a la final termino leyendo una buena cantidad de posts, y muy interesantes por cierto.

Y pues al fin me anime, y el resultado es este primer post.

Ya entrando un poco más en detalle y no llegando a ninguno aquí iré mencionando poco a poco los proyectos en los que ando trabajando, iré posteando información sobre tecnología, temas que me interesan, etc., en resumen todo lo que se me pase por la cabeza que aparentemente parezca interesante.

Finalmente quiero divertirme y aprender bastante creando aplicaciones y frameworks que además de ayudarme a mi puedan ayudar a otros en sus ideas o desarrollos, será interesante.
