As the silent thread of creation, moved in a global circle, in its pilgrimage to unite in a cosmic moment of enlightenment, emanating peace and truth, within and without... at 12noon, Gandhi Darshan at Rajghat, the capital bore witness to an august gathering including The Archbishop of Guwahati Thomas Menomperamhil, who welcomed a hall brimming over with a sea of inspired humanity – largely students from J&K, Sikkim, Assam, Ladakh and other locations. All sat united in paying homage to the martyr Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi and his concept of Satyagraha, where truth and non-violence remain the eternal pall bearers. The setting was serene and laced with the melodious notes of Bhagti Sangeet rendered by a group that evoked the sentiments encouraged by Mahatma Gandhi. The Archbishop and Tara Gandhi Bhatacharjee lit the diya and inaugurated the countdown to the solemn two minutes.
On the occasion the Archbishop of Guwahati prayed that the bonds that bind us together may be a bridge between all nations of the world. Further going on to say that Mahatma Gandhi was not only a national figure of inspiration but a universal one.

For SS12 Holly Fulton has produced a collection for the lady that having blown her annual budget takes a vacation a little closer to home. In full holiday spirit and dressed for Vegas - she hits Margate. A keen eye on the arcades, indulging in the plethora of fruit machines and casinos, her handbag is decidedly ready to hoard any winnings. She frolics between gaudy neon lights and saccharine sands, asserting her right to be a bathing belle, and is not adverse to a donkey ride either. This latest collection draws inspiration from Slim Aarons’ photographs of the US poolside scene from the late 1960s and 70s, the Albertus Seba Cabinet of Curiosities and Margate’s Deco Lido.

Colour references echo soft, aged pastels inspired by 1980s pin ball machines, through to the vibrant-pop of Fiorucci fused with monochrome chessboards and checks. With a nod to signature Pucci and the decadence of early Versace circa 1990, prints are layered and embellished to create a look reminiscent of seaside souvenirs. Shell encrusted jewellery and bags, insets of shell laminate in a variety of plastics and Perspex blend to sit perfectly with Holly’s graphic aesthetic creating a visually striking yet harmonious collection. The resulting look is a hybrid Shelley Winters/C.Z.Guest decked out in head-to-toe nineties-esque Versace paired with excessive nautical jewellery and a hint of Sharon Stone in Scorsese’s Casino.

The collection is a joyous celebration of contemporary materials and design sprinkled with considerable frivolity and tongue in cheek elements. Signature cuts, considered placement and elaborate beading result in a striking and refreshing collection. All detailing executed with an air of luxury and consolidation of colour, forming the bold aesthetic with which the Holly Fulton label has become synonymous.

'The Princess of Javacude' is an amateur production by Violet Curtain Cultural Centre LLP. The play is crisp. It is written and directed by author and RJ Roopa S, who is also playing the main role - Princess of Javacude.
The Characters:
Sir Connery (played by Mr. Vimal) - Vimal is a scientist by profession. Vimal’s passion for the theatre had made him the head of The Acting Club in school and college. Credited with training actors and static personalities to immerse in the character of the play, Vimal’s achievements were largely recognized with adequate accolades and laurels in school and college.

Lady Catherine (played by Ms. Preetika Saxena) - Preetika is one of the most preferred Market Research Consultant and Trend Watcher. She regularly contributes articles as a columnist in Food Marketing & Technology magazine and Financing Agriculture magazine. She is exploring her acting skills as a debutant through this amateur production.

Interpreter and party person (Played by Mr. Vivek Parashar) - Vivek is playing dual roles in this play. He is a student of JIMS, Vasant Kunj. This is the first play of his life.

Socialite Natasha (played by Ms. Priyanka Rajpal) - She is also a student of JIMS, Vasant Kunj. She has participated in various plays in school and this is her first professional play.

Blackmailer (played by Mr. Kedar Dixit) - Kedar is a veteran theatre actor in regional Marathi plays. On the professional front, he is an operations manager in multi screen media.

Light and Sound (by Ms. Mamta Negi) - She is responsible for decor, light and sound. She has an experience of event management ad PR services.

Over 300 customers and fans attended to meet Rosie and experience Burberry Body – the brand’s most sensual fragrance to date. Rosie Huntington Whiteley is the first Burberry Body fronting the fragrance’s multimedia ad campaign. The ad campaign directed by Christopher Bailey and shot by Mario Testino, features the British actress wearing a rose gold satin trench coat and the scent.
