For me one of the interesting place to visit in Ho Chi Minh City is Mekong River Delta. Mekong River is on of the longest in the world and it pass several countries such as Thailand and Cambodia before reaching Vietnam.

The river cruise is quite affordable and if I am not mistaken it cost you 100,000 Dong for 3 to 4 hours tour. You will be given opportunity to visit bee farm, coconut sweet factory, fruit orchard and many others.

The best time to travel here is between December to March as the monsoon seasoned ended in December and the weather is quite windy and cold. After March the weather is hotter and drier.

Anyway enjoy the picture

Malaysian Street at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

2015-01-04T03:36:00.000-08:00

Nguyen An Ninh Street near Ben Tanh Market is nicknamed Malaysian Street. More than 90 percent of the visitors there is from Malaysia.

Do you know that 1 million Dong is about RM170 while 1 million rupiah.

Getting muslim food or halal food is very easy at this street. However the price is quite high ranging from RM10 to RM25.

Do
1)Use Vinasun taxi. They always use meter
2) Use Ringgit
3) Change Ringgit to Dong from local tour guide. You get better rate
4) Bargain hard. Try start from quarter from the price. Maybe the worst you can get half the price. Maybe you can get your intended price if you try to walk away from the stall.

Don't
1) USD altoght widely acceptable, keep low profile and get cheaper bargain by using Ringgit or Dong.
2) Do not change your money at the airport. It is expensive
2) Ensure that you are healthy (no fever) when you enter the Vietnamese Immigration check point. The health inspector is ready to
4) Spent all the Dong you have. When you return to Malaysia, the exchange is not good for you.

Allan's Water, Fraser's Hill, Pahang, Malaysia

2013-11-14T07:30:00.001-08:00

Allan's Water is a reservoir built by British engineer named FH Allan. He propose a reservoir to supply water to Fraser's Hill residents. He also propose small hydroelectric plant to be incorporated to the reservoir but the proposal does not materialize.

Currently the reservoir did not serve to supply water but instead it is converted into water recreational park. Beside the reservoir, there is a small organic farm that produce small amount of strawberries and vegetables. The price is affordable and the taste is not bad either. During weekends, it is advisable to come here early as there is only one vegetable farm here so the supply is quite limited.

Anyway for more info you could surf http://www.fraserhill.info/allan-water.htm

Malaysia Capital, Putrajaya, Malaysia

2013-10-30T07:59:00.000-07:00

Kawah Putih, Bandung, Java Island, Indonesia.

2013-10-30T07:16:00.001-07:00

One of the website tagged Indonesia as dangerously beautiful. The basis of the claim is Indonesia located on the Ring of Fire. Dotted with hundreds of volcano, it crafted Indonesian mountain in a beautiful and scenic place.

One of the place is Kawah Putih or "White Crater". It is an inactive volcano crater filled with water. It is located about 40km from Bandung. If you are from Bandung, it is advisable to start you journey as early as 7.00 AM to avoid road congestion espeacially if you are travelling on weekend. The place is popular among local and foreign tourist.

Unlike Tangkuban Perahu (http://investandtravel.blogspot.com/2008/09/tangkuban-perahu-bandung.html), there is less street vendor and there should less probability you will duped by them as most of them are licensed by Park Ranger.

The air toward the crater is fresh. But as soon as you arrive at the crater, the strong smell of sulfur will suffocated you. It is advisable to wear mask and drink a lot of plain water to neutralize the effect of sulfur.

Pasar Baru, Bandung, Java Island, Indonesia

2013-10-26T08:45:00.000-07:00

Your visit to Bandung, Indonesia is not complete if you not visit Pasar Baru.
Pasat Baru or "New Market" is literally a centre of everything you could buy from Bandung.
Located at the heart of Bandung city, Pasar Baru is easily accessible by taxi, mini bus as well as trishaw.

Pasar Baru had 7th floor shpping areas. Opening time is between 8am to 5pm only. There is also a number of money changer operated inside the building

But to get a good bargain, you must knew the trick and you have some volume to justified your offer.
As a simple rule, the start of the bargaining is 1/3 of the price and you could easily achieved 3/4 from the offered price. But it can drop as low as 40% if you buy in bulk.

Popular item including leather product, imitation goods, silk and clothing.

As reminded by my driver, always wear your backpack on the front. Don't put your wallet at the back of your pants. Be extra careful if you shopping outside the mall areas.
