The Kanzius Machine developed by a cancer patient John Kanzius may very well be the cure for cancer. It uses radio waves to heat up metal particles injected into a tumor, destroying only the tumor. This could be a huge step forward in the cure for cancer without any drugs or side effects.

Lets hope the drug industry doesn’t find away of burying this advance.

In medicine, placebos have been known to have the same impact as the drug they are testing it against. Now they have learned that the cost of the pill plays an impact as well.

“The investigators had 82 men and women rate the pain caused by electric shocks applied to their wrist, before and after taking a pill. Half the participants had read that the pill, described as a newly approved prescription pain reliever, was regularly priced at $2.50 per dose. The other half read that it had been discounted to 10 cents. In fact, both were dummy pills.

The pills had a strong placebo effect in both groups. But 85 percent of those using the expensive pills reported significant pain relief, compared with 61 percent on the cheaper pills. The investigators corrected for each person’s individual level of pain tolerance.”

Our perception of things whether it be instinctually or learned is clearly a great influence on our brain and the way it deals with pain.
