The Dress for Every Occasion

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 02 Jun 2017 16:48:00 +0000

Happy Friday! The weekend is back and it is supposed to be a beautiful few days!

This dress is one of my favorites right now! The fit is perfection and the material is on point! I love how the neck is high in the front then scoops down in the back, it is really flattering. This dress would be great for work with flats than to happy hour for drinks, all you have to do is add wedges and clutch! Since it is so neutral a pop in the accessories would be the perfect addition or a pair of black slip on's like the ones I have on would look great too! This is a truly versatile piece that you can wear over and over again! The price is right on point being around $60 and definitely worth the money! The link to purchase is below!

Happy Friday!

Since I started my new job I have been super overwhelmed to the adjustment. The work load is much heavier then my last job so I have been trying to find a way to manage everything. I don't think that this is different from what other people go through but I do think we all handle it differently. At first I was getting super stressed because I was looking at all the work that had to be done instead of the work that I needed to get done in that single moment. I have learned to do one thing at a time and stay focused on the present, it has helped and I am getting there so hopefully soon I will feel much better about it all! How do you balance work and life?!

A casual and cute look like this one is my favorite! I love being able to look great but still appropriate for everyday living! I am always searching for balance (in every aspect of my life) and this outfit is just that! A denim jacket is a staple in my closet, especially for spring, because it matches everything and is the perfect layering piece! My top is oversized but fits true to size and it is under $50! It is short sleeved so it will be so cute as we move into warmer weather! I have had these leggings for a few years and they have held up great, they are at a higher price point but it is so worth it! Lastly, I can't say enough good things about these shoes. They are so comfortable, fit true to size and they are under $100! I have been wearing them a lot lately! Links to purchase this whole look are below!

This sweatshirt is light weight and the fit is right on point, it is only $34. I also linked a similar swear with ruffles on the shoulders that is so much fun, it is right around the same price point too! My jeans are 40% off, they are selling out quickly so if your size is available they fit great and are a very nice wash! I am so happy I purchased these white sneakers! I wear them all the time, they fit true to size and they were comfortable the first time I put them on (no need to wear them in!) Links to purchase this whole look are below!

My wedding is coming up quick and I am doing everything I can to get my workouts in no matter what! A black long sleeve pullover and a black puffy vest were perfect for a rainy and overcast day like today! noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Sun, 05 Mar 2017 23:56:00 +0000

It was so much fun planning my sisters baby shower, I was so happy to be able to do that for her! I am obsessed with all the little details that go into planning a party and everything came together beautifully, the shower was at Hillendale Country Club in a beautiful room that looked out over the golf course! Everyone had a wonderful time and my sister had an amazing day! We are about a month away from meeting the little one and I could not be more excited, not knowing the gender has been so hard but it will all be worth it in the end!

I got this skirt a few weeks before the event and after trying it on I decided it would be perfect! I paired it with a basic long sleeve black top and burgundy OTK boots for a pop of color! My top is only $15 and super versatile, the skirt is under $100 and my boots are only $50! It was a cold day so I was covered just enough! Links to purchase this look are below as well as some photos from the baby shower! I hope to have a great night and an even better week!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was interesting for sure! The Women's March in DC was a great experience but left me with a lot of questions. I have seen so many opinions on social media about it and to be honest I can see all sides. But why do people feel like it is okay to bash people that do not agree with them? Lets all be respectful of each other and remember that there were so many reasons people wanted to march as well as not wanting to march so don't judge because you never know. For some people this is a scary time with uncertainty and for others it is an exciting time who see it as a new beginning. No matter how you feel I think everyone can agree that there is a lot that needs to change and taking a stand for what you believe in is an amazing start. Lets really make a change by following through with the momentum of the march and get involved. Know who your representatives are, vote on important issues and volunteer whenever you can. I will be looking for ways to get involved and make a difference on the issues that are important to me. If you have any resources please add a link in the comments for myself and anyone else that is interested in learning more!

This dress was perfect for the party I attended, you can never go wrong with a long sleeved dress this time of year. There are so many ways to wear and accessorize them! This dress was so comfortable and a great mix between casual and dressy. This one is from Forever 21 and only $12.90. It runs small so size up when purchasing! I linked it below as well as a few others that are under $20 and super cute! I also linked a similar necklace and booties (mine sold out)! Next time I wear this dress I am going to pair it with leggings, a long cardigan and riding boots as a casual look or to dress it up I will add a pair of pumps and a blazer!

Happy Friday! My best friend (and bridesmaid) from college is making her way to Baltimore from Chicago right now and I am so excited to see her. She is a flight attendant so she pops into town every once in a while! We are going to go to DC tomorrow and participating in the Women's March, it is totally outside of my comfort zone but best friends don't let best friends travel to a unfamiliar city alone, so I am going to go and see what it is all about. I do not know what to expect but I am going with an open mind and I hope the experience is one that helps me become better informed, educated and more understanding of what I can do to make a difference. Let me know if you will be there as well!

This jacket is a perfect staple piece, it is neutral and matches everything. It is appropriate for the spring, fall and winter months which makes it so versatile! I might even wear it to DC tomorrow, it is great for layering! The best part is that it is on sale, it is now only $49, such a great price for a beautifully constructed jacket! It also comes in black and on sale for $52! I got this plaid blanket scarf when I worked in retail a few years ago and it is still one of my favorites! It is hard to see in these photos but the white top I have on has a pleated peplum detail, it is a little bit longer and really cute. It comes in a few different colors too! This whole look is linked below! I hope you have a great weekend!

Sweater Dress Coziness

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 17 Jan 2017 19:10:00 +0000

The holidays are always a crazy time and I always look forward to things slowing down at the beginning of the year...well that is not happening this year. I have decided to leave my day job and move into something I am more passionate about...social media management! I am so excited to be taking this role on to help businesses grow their customer base and following! I am also planning my sisters baby shower, anticipating the arrival of my first niece or nephew, and planning my wedding and honeymoon. So many exciting things are happening that I don't mind that life is not slowing down. Life is crazy, fun, challenging and ever changing and like I have said...2017 is going to be the best year yet!

There is nothing like a super warm and comfortable sweater dress when it is snowing and/or freezing cold outside. I love waking up and throwing something on that is both cute and functional. It is under $100 and it runs true to size, it is not clingy to the body and could be belted as well! The turtle neck is oversized and drapes nicely which means it is not too tight around the neck which I love. Obviously my obsession with a neutral piece continues but it could also be warn with a pop of color in the leggings or boots! Days like today make me wish I could put this exact dress on in different colors everyday of the week. I decided to wear leggings instead of tights because they are warmer and much more comfortable, these exact ones are linked below, they are not see through at all and fit great all day. My OTK boots are a winter staple in my closet, I always find an excuse to wear them! The pair I am wearing are sold out but I linked 3 other pairs I love that are all under $100! Links are below.

Happy Birthday B!

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 13 Jan 2017 17:26:00 +0000

How is Beni already 5 years old? In a small way I feel like I understand what it is like for a parent (of a human) to watch their little one grow up. We got him at 7 weeks old and he has been though so much with us, from picking him up in San Francisco to driving back to LA to taking cross country trips to moving back to Maryland and now taking trips to Chicago, he has experienced so much in his life. When I am not with him I miss him and when I am with him I am happy. No matter what he is loving, playful and a joy to be around. When people see him sticking his head out of the car window they can't help but laugh and people love to stop us on the street to say hi (or they are terrified and cross to the other side of the street!). I love taking him to play frisbee and seeing how happy he is when I give him a new toy. I can only hope that we have many more years together. Happy Birthday Beni, I love you endlessly!

I adore looking at our engagement photos and it was mandatory that B was apart of it. Our family friends have a horse farm and they were so sweet to let us shoot there! I decided to go with two different looks. One was a classic white lace look with burgundy booties and the other was a sweater and a burgundy skirt, Steve matched his shirt to my burgundy theme so altogether we were very cohesive! Both looks were super comfortable and affordable, everything fits true to size and can be worn so many different ways! I often wear the lace up sweater with a pair of jeans and you have seen the skirt on here before. I am still waiting for a time to wear the white lace top again, it is so pretty! Poncho Love

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 12 Jan 2017 19:22:00 +0000

Happy Thursday! Taking the weekend to catch up on sleep, unpack and take down Christmas decorations was the best decision. I needed that time to recharge and refocus myself. After such an action packed trip it was necessary to have some me time. When my home is chaotic my mind feels the same and puts me in a bit of a panic. That is when I have to write out a to-do list and start checking boxes, it centers me and makes me feel better. Getting back into my clean eating habits has helped tremendously as well. Not having the control of deciding what my food options were forced me to be flexible in my eating habits. I was eating food that I would not normally eat which made my body feel tired and worn out. Food preparation for the week is key for me to stay in control and on top of what is going in my body.

We went to the outlets when I was in Chicago and found this cozy poncho for an amazing price. It is one of those pieces that you can dress up or dress down and be super comfortable either way. Since it is a neutral you could even add a pop of color underneath! I love how it cinches at the waist and drapes so beautifully. It is long enough to wear with pants or leggings and it is a great piece to transition into spring! I could not find this exact one sadly but I linked a few others that are only $18 (whaaat!) and are very similar as well as the rest of the look! Check them out below!

Birthday Suit

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 06 Jan 2017 20:58:00 +0000

I don't worry too much about age because it is just a number but it does make me reflect on the past and makes me think about what I want to accomplish before the next one. Having my birthday five days after Christmas and two days before the New Year has always been hard because it gets lost in the craziness of the holidays. But it is also nice to become a new age and move into a new year at almost the same time, it is a fresh start every year I get older to do better, to be better and to follow my dreams. My 27th year of life was very challenging in many ways but so amazing in others and it has taught me to go with the flow because "this too shall pass". In a way I was excited to turn 28 because I could put it all behind me, I am more focused in on what I want in every aspect of my life more then ever and I am ready for it. Personally, this year is going to be the biggest one yet, which I could not be more excited about. My sister is having a baby and it is all I have ever wished for her, she is going to be the most amazing mom and I cannot wait to watch it all happen. I am so excited, I watched my best friend become an aunt and it has been so amazing, she loves her nephew more than anything and I can't wait to be a part of the club! A few months after I become a first time aunt I will become a wife, planning for that day has had its ups and downs but I couldn't be more excited. Bring it on 2017...I am ready for you!

My outfit for my birthday was a last minute decision because of the craziness of the holidays and traveling but it ended up being super comfortable and cute! Luckily, I was shopping online at Zara before I left and found this tank and velvet blazer, they went together so well and they both fit true to size! The tank has a knit back and the front is asymmetrical and leather with lace trim at the top, I love how there is a little shine to it! The blazer was also a great purchase, it is comfortable and will go with anything, unfortunatley it looks like it is sold out but I linked a similar one below. I found my choker necklace when we went to the outlets at The Limited, they all came in one package but can be worn separately which I love! I decided to pair my floral velvet booties with my velvet blazer and I am so glad I did, they are so comfortable and fit true to size! Links to purchase this look are below!
