[How To] Fix Can’t Login Problem on Facebook 3.2.1 !

After installing the latest Facebook update (3.2 / 3.2.1) on my iPhone 3Gs (Jailbroken IOS 4.0.1), I encountered a problem instantly : I could no longer login to Facebook !

The facebook developers are aware of this issue:

If you have a jailbroken device, you may have experienced problems with our latest updates. We’ve identified the issue and have an update with a fix coming soon. Thank you for your patience.

Thanks to the iPhoneinCanada.ca community, here is a fix to the Facebook for iPhone problem when you can’t login. It involves a current jailbroken iPhone, SBSettings, and BiteSMS.

- Uninstall and BiteSMS iPhoneDelivery (if you have 2) via Cydia
- Whether in SBSettings where you can disable BiteSMS and / or iPhoneDelivery.

After respring, restart facebook 3.2 and everything should work.

This will fix your facebook login but disable the biteSMS quick compose feature. BiteSMS will have an update out soon.

As you may know, Infinifolders lets you break the 12-app folder limit! Add as many icons as you want to your folders. Already available in Cydia, and it costs $1.99 but have we to try first no? Well i don't have a choice !

1- Open up Cydia
2- Manage
3- Sources.
4- Edit --> Add, and type in this repo :

Head into the repo and you’ll find Infinifolders Cracked, you know what next ;)

As stated here, JailbreakMe 2.0 simply download and execute a PDF file containing codes created for changes to the mobile operating system (some exploit of PDF font bug)...so yes, we have to fix this hole, in order to prevent malicious softwares to land on your phone by using the same technique !

thanks to macstories.net, all you have to do is to :

- com.willstrafach.pdfexploitwarner_1.0.0-4_iphoneos-arm.deb
- Place it in /var/mobiledevice using iFile on the iPhone.

- Using Terminal :

--> ssh root@your IP address
--> alpine
--> dpkg -i file.deb

Where “alpine” is the default password you’ll get after installing Open SSH from Cydia and “your IP address” is located under Settings – > Wifi – > active wifi connection.

- Using iFile :

--> Navigate to /var/mobile and double tap on the .deb file to install it.

Please be aware that this won't fix the issue, but it'll simply ask you if you really want to open a .PDF every single time.
