    <p>The Iowa Energy Center was created by the Iowa General Assembly and signed into law in 1990, and is administered
        through Iowa State University . The Energy Center&rsquo;s&nbsp;goal is to serve Iowans through reliable,
        objective tools, and information. Whether you are a homeowner, student, architect, researcher, engineer,
        building operation and manufacturing professional or business owner, we provide resources to serve your needs as
        energy consumers and innovators.</p>

    <p>In addition to providing information and education, the Iowa Energy Center supports renewable energy and energy
        efficiency projects for Iowans through our&nbsp;competitive grant, scholarship, and loan programs&nbsp;.</p>
    <h2><strong>Our Leadership</strong></h2>
    <p>The Iowa Energy Center director is appointed by the president of Iowa State University. The director reports to
        the Office of the Vice President for Research .&nbsp;The director and staff are employees of Iowa State
        University.</p>
    <p>The Energy Center&rsquo;s&nbsp;Advisory Council&nbsp;assists in fulfilling the center&rsquo;s mission by
        providing advice to the director regarding budgets, planning, and policies.</p>
    <h2><strong>Our Location</strong></h2>
    <p>The Iowa Energy Center&rsquo;s main office is located in Ames, Iowa. The Energy Center includes two facilities
        showcasing ground-breaking collaborative research, education and demonstration activities. The&nbsp;Energy
        Resource Station&nbsp;(ERS) at Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, Iowa and the&nbsp;Biomass Energy
        Conversion&nbsp;(BECON) facility in Nevada, Iowa.</p>
