New iPad Mini

Apple will officially give its smaller tablet the name 'iPad Mini' and may equip an updated iPod nano with Wi-Fi, according to a Macotakara report.

According to Asian source, the name of Apple's new product, which are expected to have 7"85' and called as iPad mini, will be named as "iPad mini" officially. This source expects that "iPad" logo will be printed on back of case same as "iPod" is printed on iPod nano and iPod touch, and it means one new product will be added on iPad's product brand genre.

Earlier today, AllThingsD confirmed that Apple would unveil the device in October at an event separate from the September iPhone announcement.

The site also reports that the larger iPad will be updated for the mini dock connector which is expected to debut with the iPhone 5.

In addition, an updated iPod nano is said to come with a Wi-Fi antenna that will support iCloud for iTunes music playback.

Next iPod nano may equip Wi-Fi antenna on side of that case, and support iTunes Music Cloud in order Apple to provide a iconic product to promote the largest Music Store in the world.

Dual-Core A5X Chip for iPad 3, Front Glass and Digitizer Assembly Pictured?

Photos claiming to be of the front glass and digitizer assembly have been posted online, reports Apple.pro.

MacRumors notes the photos first appeared on Weibo and show little change from the iPad 2 except for a longer ribbon cable.

The part appears nearly identical to that of the iPad 2, with the major distinguishing feature being a relatively long ribbon cable extending up the side of the display as opposed to a shorter cable with a sideways orientation seen in the iPad 2. Other features of the iPad 3 display include the same round home button seen in all iOS devices so far and a hole in the top bezel to accommodate both the front-facing camera and the ambient light sensor.

The same poster claims that the iPad 3 will feature a dual-core A5X chip, Siri support, a 1080p rear camera, and iOS 5.1. It will reportedly launch in the U.S. in mid-March with France, Germany, Japan, and the UK to follow in April. China and Hong Kong should get the device by June 1.

Apple is expected to announce the iPad 3 on March 7th.

Microsoft For iPad Exists. Will be Released Soon (photo)

The Daily has published a photo of Microsoft Office running on the iPad and reveals that it will be available in the App Store soon.

A brief hands-on with a working prototype of the software revealed a number of new things. The app's user interface is similar to the current OneNote app, but it has hints of Metro, the new design language that can be seen in Windows Phone and in the as-yet-released Windows 8 desktop operating system.

Word, Excel and PowerPoint files can be created and edited locally and online. But it's unclear if Microsoft will support other Office apps at launch or at all.

According to The Daily, the design team has wrapped up the project and Microsoft will submit Office to the App Store shortly.

How To Add Lyrics To Your iPod/iPhone/iPad

Alot of people have been asking me on how I am able to add lyrics to my songs in my ipod,
so now I'm gona share it with you that trick.

First, you need to find the lyrics on the web and copy and save it in your notepad to avoid losing it.

Then fire up iTunes.

Click/ highlight the song that you want to have lyrics on and press Apple I to fire up "Summary /info Tab".

Go ahead and paste the lyrics that you've just copied on the "Lyrics" tab.

Sync back your phone/ipod/ipad and voila!
The lyrics is on.

You can now enjoy more of your songs by singing along with it with the right words instead of just humming it. Lolx!

iPad 3 to Feature Thinner, Lighter Battery?

The iPad 3 will reportedly use a thinner, lighter, and 20-30% more expensive battery than the iPad 2, according to CENS. The battery will be supplied by Simplo Technology Co. and Dynapack International Technology Corp.

Institutional investors pointed out that the battery pack for iPad 3, scheduled to be massively produced in the first quarter of next year, has been redesigned to be thinner and lighter with a longer service life than iPad 2 edition's. Furthermore, the new battery pack will also be required to meet CTIA IEEE 1625 standard for better quality and safety reliability, a trend that has been commonly seen nowadays, especially in the U.S. For example, consumer electronic devices with coming ordinary battery packs are banned by AT&T, the country's largest service provider, from sales on its product shelf as well as from its mobile network services, until with IEEE1625-certificated battery packs.

The battery packs are scheduled to begin delivery starting in the fourth quarter.

Got this as a surprise gift. :)
But I am not sure if I really need this.Questions like "Will it defeat the purpose?" keeps popping up on my mind mainly because I love iPad's awesome swiping capabilities. It makes my life easier and well, "cool. ".

Nuf said. I don't want to judge. So I think it's better I give this a shot first. It's a gift. And one thing I should do is to -- appreciate it. Right?

How To Crop Photos On PS Express for iPhone/iPad/iPodTouch

This is just a simple tutorial on how to quickly crop photos using your iphone/ipad or ipodtouch.
Install Photoshop Express or PS Express. It's FREE.

Open up the photo.

Next. Click on the first icon as seen below.

Four image edit options will pop out like Crop, Straighten, Rotate and Flip.
As for this tutorial, choose "Crop".

Click-hold-drag from any of the four edges to adjust the desired area
that you want to keep. Image outside the box will be cut away.

If satisfied, click on "Crop".

Voila!! Here's your newly cropped image!

You can either save it on your ipad/iphone/ipodtouch album or
flaunt your masterpiece on Facebook. Your choice.:)

Pope Sends His First Tweet, From An iPad

Holy tweet! The Pope is on Twitter.

His Holiness used the Vatican’s news account to send his first tweet, which announced the launch of a news information portal (and, of course, praised Jesus).

Unlike other tweets sent from the account, the tweet from the Pope was sent using Twitter for iPad.

Does the Pope have an iPad? You bet! Or at least he used one to launch the new site.

We wouldn’t expect any less, technologically speaking, from the leader who has overseen the launch of the Vatican’s YouTube channel and “Pope2You” mobile and Facebook apps as well as encouraged priests to blog.

A 17-year old Chinese boy has reportedly sold his right kidney for an iPad 2. The boy, from Huaishan City, said he couldn't afford an iPad 2 and wanted one rather badly. He came in contact with an online broker told him he could get 22,000 Yuan (about $3,400) for his kidney.

I wanted to buy an iPad 2 but could not afford it said the boy surnamed Zheng in Huaishan City A broker contacted me on the Internet and said he could help me sell one kidney for 20 000 yuan.

When his mother found out that her son had had his right kidney removed at Chenzhou Hospital, she informed the police. The hospital reportedly doesn't have the proper facilities to perform such surgery, which lasts about three hours. Now as the police are investigating, the boys health is deteriorating.

iTunes syncing Problem because of IMovie

This is a follow-up blog on my "How to Install iMovie on the Orig iPad".

After I've installed iMovie on my iPad 1, I've learnt that iTunes won't let you sync everything on your ipad anymore like iphotos album, music and newly installed apps.

A have a quick-around process to resolve this.

To do so, you need to use IPhone Configuration Utility all the time.

If you want to sync new photos, music or apps on your ipad, just hit on "Deauthorise" button when it pops out. This will delete imovie and lets you sync everything from iTunes like you used to.

Important:
Make sure you have no pending projects on hand because this process will also delete all your imovie projects.

Me? I do this after I am done with a certain project then when I need to shoot videos on my iphone again , I do it in one go and then sync.

After syncing everything, open iPhone Configuration Utility , click on your device and install imovie back again. It should be fast so no worries. :)
