The catch is every bid costs the bidder a small amount of money, usually around $0.50. There is a countdown timer running for each auction, and when the timer runs out, the last person to bid gets to buy the product at the current price. The penny auction company is making money on the bids, and you need to take into account the amount of money you spend bidding. If you bid 10 times at $0.50 per bid, that’s an extra $5 you need to account for in the cost for the product.
