Sony Playstation Phone

So, supposedly Sony is preparing to release a phone. This won't be just any ordinary phone either. It will essentially be a hybrid between a PSP Go and an Android touch screen phone. It is rumored to have a 3.5" screen, full gaming controls, a 1 Ghz processor, 512 MB of RAM, the newest version of Andriod, and built in gaming emulators. If all this is true then this will be one hell of a phone. Maybe the iPhone 4 will finally have some real competition, or maybe not?

New MacBook Air Review

I have to say overall I was disappointed in the new model of the MacBook Air. If you decide to purchase it, you are basically purchasing a netbook computer for the same price as a fairly high-powered laptop or desktop computer. The only nice things about the MacBook Air are its battery life and razor thin design.

Greenpois0n Jailbreak iOS 4.1

Today the Greenpois0n jailbreak was released by the Chronic Dev Team. The program functions much like limera1n, but is noticeably less buggy. Anyways let's get down to business.

2. Unzip the file.
3. Run the Greenpois0n program within the file.

Limera1n Troubleshooting- Problems and Solutions

Since the release of limera1n it has had quite a few reported problems, the majority of which can be easily avoided. In this post I will identify a few of the most popular issues and tell you how you can fix them.

First make sure your device is compatible with limera1n. The following iDevices will work:
-iPhone 4
-iPhone 3GS
-iPod Touch 4G
-iPod Touch 3G
-iPad

Limera1n is suspected to be updated to work with the iPod Touch 2G, but it currently is not, so if you are not sure go to http://ih8sn0w.com/index.php/welcome.snow and download and run f0recast. It will tell you which generation of the iPod Touch you have.

Problem #1- Reboot Loops
If you're device reboots over and over again, simply put it into DFU mode and restore to the 4.1 firmware, and then run limera1n again. If you mistakenly ran limera1n on your iPod Touch 2G, put the device into DFU mode, restore to 4.1, and do not run limera1n again.

Problem #2- White App Icons
This is by far the most common issue, yet it is also probably the smallest. To get rid of the white icons and make them normal again, simply reboot your device 1-3 times. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then delete and reinstall the app, or wait for it to be updated.

Problem #3- App Incompatibility
This occurs with every jailbreak when you update to a new firmware, not every Cydia application will work. Common applications that won't work are applications which you use to theme your phone, FaceBreak, 3G Unrestrictor, and any unlocking application like Ultrasn0w. You will just have to wait for these applications to be updated for them to work.

FINAL WARNING- DO NOT UPGRADE TO 4.1 IF YOU RELY ON AN UNLOCK! THERE IS CURRENTLY NO UNLOCK AVAILABLE, SO IF YOU UPGRADE YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO USE YOUR CELLULAR SERVICE.

New LimeRa1n Jailbreak

On October 8th, Geohot unexpectedly released Limera1n to jailbreak iOS 4.0/4.1. He did this while many people were anticipating the release of Greenpois0n on the 10th. Although that is kind of a douche move, he gotthe jailbreak out, so for that I thank him.

Steps:
1. Update to 4.0 or 4.1 firmware.
2. Download limera1n.
3. Attach your device and run limera1n.

5. Follow the on screen prompts which will put your phone in DFU mode.
6. Wait for limera1n application to be installed on your device.
7. Run limera1n application on your device and select to install Cydia.
8. Reboot.
9. Your device should now be jailbroken.
10. Enjoy!

GreenPois0n (Shatter) Jailbreak for iOS4

WARNING!

GreenPois0n HAS NOT yet been released! Don't believe anyone who says otherwise. There are numerous scams and viruses circulating around the internet to trick you into downloading infected files and completing surveys to make some chump easy cash.

That being said, I wanted to tell you guys a little about GreenPois0n. GreenPois0n is currently being developed by the Chronic Dev Team, and should be released within a few weeks. It was created by the Shatter exploit which allows custom firmwares to be installed on your iDevice. This means that because you are restoring your device to a custom firmware when you jailbreak, Apple can do nothing to affect your jailbreak. (Unless of course YOU update to a new firmware they release or restore to an older one) GreenPois0n is expected to be capable of jailbreaking every model of the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad, therefore people who have newer iDevices have GreenPois0n to look forward to.

How to Become a YouTube Partner

Before I start this post, I think it is important for you to know that this guide will not be on how to make money on YouTube because there are many ways to do that without becoming a partner. Also it will not be on how to get video views or build up an audience; however I promise I will make posts about both of those topics later. But for now, I will just discuss how to achieve the admirable position of YouTube partner.

It is also important for you to know that this guide will probably make things seem much easier than they truly are, so be sure to only attempt to become a YouTube partner if you are very serious about it.

To make this guide simple, it will simply be composed of a few strict rules and steps.

The rules are:
1. BE ORIGINAL.- This is by far the most important rule you need to follow. You need to set yourself apart from other YouTubers, so you can stand out to the people who review channels for the YouTube partner program. You also need to be 100% original to avoid copyright claims. Copyright claims are perhaps the biggest reason people fail becoming a partner.
2. BE COMPETITIVE.- This is also an essential rule. Depending on the types of videos you make this rule can vary, but it basically means always try to improve your content, whether that be better editing, buying a better camera, or even rehearsing your videos. If you run a channel which focuses on news, current events, or technology then you will need to upload videos promptly to get views. However, it is also important that you don't let the quality of your content suffer.

Now that you know the rules, you can begin working on the steps:
1. BUILD AN AUDIENCE.- This is by far the hardest part of becoming a partner. Building an audience takes a lot of time and dedication. You have to upload quality content regularly and create content that appeals to your targeted audience. However if you stick to it and continually improve your content, you shouldn't have much trouble.
2. APPLY, APPLY, AND APPLY.- Once you have a fairly large audience (I would recommend 1,000 subscribers or more and over 100,000 video views), you are ready to apply. Chances are you will be denied at least one or two times before you are accepted. I was actually denied 3 times because I had the misfortune of having a copyright claim against my account. As long as you are persistent, you improve each time you apply, and you follow the two rules listed above, eventually you will be accepted.

Rock Application Review (JAILBROKEN)

THIS APP IS A MUST HAVE FOR JAILBROKEN IPHONE/IPOD TOUCH DEVICES! The application is must faster than other 3rd party application providers such as Cydia and Icy. It is very graphically pleasing and introduces something new, the ability to rate and leave reviews, just like in the Apple App Store.
As I said before the main reason to get this app is for the speed. Downloading and Installation is a breeze with this application, so if you have a jailbroken device, GET IT!

3.1.2 Jailbreak for All iPod Touchs and iPhones

Today a jailbreak was released for all devices running the 3.1.2 firmware using blackra1n (download link at end of post). There is a few flaws with the jailbreak. First of all for iPhone users, this is just a jailbreak it will not unlock your phone. Even if you normally used a cydia application such as ultrasn0w to unlock it will not yet work. Second for iPod Touch 3g owners, you will have to re-jailbreak your iPod every time you reboot. A patch is expected to come out with this soon.

How to Jailbreak 3.1.2:
1. Download blackra1n --http://blackra1n.com
2. Download the correct 3.1.2 firmware corresponding to your device. --http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
3. Put your iPhone/iPod into DFU mode.
4. Restore to 3.1.2 firmware in iTunes.
5. End all iTunes or Apple processes running on your PC.
6. Extract blackra1n to your desktop.
7. Run blackra1n.
8. A one click option which says "make it ra1n" will appear. Click it.
9. Your iPhone will be put into restore mode, a picture will appear, then your device will reboot.
10. Once your device has rebooted, make sure you have a WiFi/Data Connection.
11. You will have an application called blackra1n on your springboard. Open it.
12. Select to install your choice(s) of Cydia, Rock(a new app to download 3rd party applications that I highly recommend trying, or Icy.
13. Click install, and they will be downloaded and installed on your device.
14. Your device will automatically respring, and after it does, you will have Cydia, Rock, and/or Icy available.

3.1.2 Upgrade Warning

This is just a warning for all iPhone users who want to jailbreak their iPhone and upgrade to the latest firmware. If you do upgrade, your iPhone will go back to being locked and un-jailbroken. You will not be able to jailbreak/unlock it again until a jailbreak is released.

So basically, be patient and upgrade later if you want your phone to be jailbroken. =D

Application Review of I Am T-Pain

In my opinion, this is the best application from the app store. It provides hours upon hours of fun. It is insane the way that this app implements Autotune into your phone. You can create full length customized songs with the beats included within the application, such as I did in the music video, which will be posted on my personal channel later today.

The application can also be used with external speakers and comes with preloaded T-pain songs and lyrics which makes it excellent for karaoke. I really recommend purchasing this app if you are looking for a reasonably priced app with a lot of fun for your money.

1600 Errors from 3.1 Jailbreak/How to Jailbreak Unlock 3.1

I have been getting a lot of questions about 1600 errors in the comments on my jailbreak video for the 3.1 firmware, so I am making this post on how to prevent and fix 1600 errors.

Prevention:
1. Make sure before you update, that your iPhone or iPod Touch is running the 3.0 firmware or above.
2. Check to see if you have the latest version of iTunes running on your computer, and if you don't, update it.

Fix:
1. Put your phone into DFU mode, if you don't know how to do this, then look up a video on YouTube, it's very simple.
2. Restore it on firmware 3.0 or 3.0.1.
