The New iPad Strategy

Do you remember when the iPad 2 was introduced how hard to it? Now for the New iPad, Apple is not using that strategy now. I would consider the strategy of the New iPad won't be as successful as iPad 2.
Sometimes, people like to wait in a long time to get the hard-get things, and show off that stuff to other people.
That's would make people more crazy about it. But the strategy is not so well when Apple try to sell the New iPad. I would say they might think they've improved the channel make almost all the continentals in this earth got the New iPad. And even the retails, such as BestBuy, FutureShop, etc, they can help you sell the New iPad quickly. But if somebody can buy it anytime anywhere, why in a hurry? No way to show off, isn't it?
Hopefully, Apple still get a lot of earning with selling the New iPad in a different marketing strategy.
And if you don't have the New iPad or iPad 2, and you really like it, just get one then :)

MacJournal is a blog writing tool for Mac. But when you try to configure your blogspot website on it. It will panic and complain. Nice remote desktop join.me

Recently I visited the website of Time Specials, which introduced The 50 Best Websites of 2011.

And I found a very nice service provided by join.me.

There is a join.me apps on iTune apps store. And it's for both iPhone & iPad.

Let's see how fantastic this product is.

Sharing

First on your sharing computer(for now only support MacOS & Windows platforms) browse join.me. (ps. for VoIP function you can try beta.join.me)

You'll see a fancy background and simple web page. Click on the orange arrow to start sharing.

On windows, it will download join.me.exe; On MacOS, it will download join.me.zip, unzip it and run the join.me.pkg.
Run the join.me.exe(join.me.pkg)

The 818-381-613 is the sharing number. All participants need to know this 9 digit number.
get conference number.
You'll see a Conference number & Conference ID

In beta.join.me, you'll see Join by internet, connect to join the conference room to hear everybody.
As of Join by phone, I haven't tried this yet.

You'll see this screen when you connect, microphone & speaker volume can be adjusted.

chat.
You can type something and show it to every participants.

Pause screen
When you press this, the others will see a freezed window and don't know what are you doing.
Convenient when you want to do something privately.

Participants
When someone is connect to you, you'll see different icon
This means there are 2 people in this conference.
Click on the participants, you'll see all the participants including yourself.

And you can change the name of yourself.
Only yourself, for example you're the presenter now, so you can only change Viewer 2 to Super Sales.

Share control
Seems like you need to buy a pro version then you're able to use this function.
For now I can only see a gray icon here.

This little arrow can show you more functions. I have one extended screen. And I can share only one of my screen to the participants.

Join

You can join the sharing in many ways, iPhone, Android, Windows or Mac.
Let me show you the iPhone part (I don't have a Android yet).
On iPhone join.me apps, input the shared 9 digital number.

When you finish enter the number just touch the green arrow or Go

You'll see the remote desktop displayed on you iPhone.

Touch any where will show 4 green icons,

Touch the phone icon and bring you the 2 way to make call

Let's try Call via Internet

You'll see the microphone and speaker volume controls are activated, now you can speak to other user in the conference.
And everyone can talk to each other, and watch the same screen.

And for participants icon, you can change your name here too.

Exit

On your Windows/Mac OS, just click on the x, and then exit

On your iPhone just touch the x, and then Yes

Price

The function comparison.

The price is monthly $19 or yearly $149

Conclusion

I think this is really handy for many people.
I would strongly recommend you to use this to help other people, sale your products, or demostrate school works, etc.

這篇文章原本想以英文寫的, 但後來覺得華人在程式設計領域的人才不亞於外國人才, 只是差在英文表達的能力而己, 所以還是決定以正體中文來發佈。這篇文章並非全是原創,只是把這個世界上很熱衷於Mac世界的人的分享做一彙整, 並用正體中文來分享。
另外目前為止只做到了, 把OS昇級, xcode完裝完畢, 至於開發iPhone的部份, 我還在測試看有沒有什麼Issue.

以下為本篇的主本, 會先裝VMWare 7 Workstation, 再透過一些技巧把Mac OS灌進去

完裝VMWare 7 Workstation, 這個部份不難, 請大家找一下Google大神
取得Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6
我是選單機版, 大約6.4G
轉換2下載的DMG成為ISO, 可以使用MagicISO, 轉成ISO後大約, 7.5G
安裝Mac OS, 再來的安裝步驟是以http://www.online-tech-tips.com/mac-os-x/install-snow-leopard-on-pc/介紹的為主

下載預先configure的Snowy VM, 這個動作很重要, 因為這裏面有很多好用的工具,下載後, 它的格式是.tbz2, 用7-zip解, 它會先解成.tar, 再解開tar會產生一個名為Snowy_VM的目錄, 裏面包含了一個目錄Mac OS X Server 10.6 (experimental).vmwarevm, 3個檔案darwin_snow.iso, EnsoniqAudioPCI.mpkg.tar.gz, Install Notes
上一點所述的目錄就是未來你的Mac OS X VM 長的地方, 你可以先把目錄改名, 搬到你想要的位置, 不一定要留在Snowy_VM下
開啟Snowy_VM下Mac OS X Server 10.6 (experimental).vmx
修改一下設定, 建議多加入一個光碟比較方便
啟動VM
選擇c Boot DVD
按F8會出現進階的畫面, 這時按輸入-v
進入Mac OS的Installer了
之後的開機, 目前我都還是需要Snowy_VM中的iso來當做前導程式, 這點仍在克服中... 原來的文章及Snowy_VM中的說明文件都說開個幾次就好了. 但我怎麼開就是會遇到Operating System Not Found

安裝xcode, xcode相當就是一般開發程式的IDE環境, 它是免費的, 在下載時記得選擇iPhone SDK 4.0, 建議直接在VM中下載, 比較方便安裝, 等到DMG下載好後, 就可以直接安裝了

安裝完成後, 你的iPhone 4.0開發環境也ready了.

I'll say 2010 is the first year of Smartphone era. A lot of web contents are ready for smartdevice; A lot of smartphones can be accpeted. You might hear John just buy a new smart phone meanwhile Mary are facebooking from her iPhone 3GS. People's life are changing, the way doing the business are changing too.

Originally, I thought I can only write iPhone Apps under Mac.
But recently I'm trying to learn more about objective c.
After googling on internet, I can learn objective c under a free environment Ubuntu.

I semi-jailbreak my iPhone 3GS (OS Version 3.1.2)

After using the iPhone 3GS for few months, I decided to jailbreak to experience how powerful the iPhone 3GS can do.
For now, it's said, the Blackrain could not TOTALLY jailbreak the iPhone, that's why so called semi-jailbreak.
The only limitation is not able to restart iPhone 3GS normally. The iTune with a USB plug will appeared when reboot the iPhone.
After accepting this situation, I learned the jailbreak skill from
Apple4Asia
There are a lot of detail discussion there.
Here I only show what I did, and share what I benefit from this action.

I visit the Black Rain's official site http://blackra1n.com/
Download the windows version
Connect my iPhone to my computer via USB port
Run the program blackra1n.exe
Follow the instruction of blackra1n

After several restart, I stucked in the iTune with USB plug screen, I ran the blackra1n.exe again
The iPhone can start normally.

The first step after semi-jailbreak is run the blackra1n in iPhone,
It will show three apps, Cydia, Rock & Sn0w

I decide to install Cydia, (Maybe Rock next time)

The I run Cydia to install something good.

For now, I found the Categories is really nice.
I can put more then 10 pages apps in my iPhone now.

I'll introduce more next time.

One of my classmate services in CHT(Chunghwa Telecom). His name is Jiaxin.
