This detail has been shared on the iPad Specs Page. I hope one day, the iPhone too gets this feature. At times I really dont want my screen to flip around. Lets wait and see if Apple brings this feature in iPhone 4G.

Apple this summer will go a long way towards silencing critics and catering to one of the most prevalent demands of its iPhone user base, when it introduces a multitasking solution through the handset’s 4.0 software update that will finally allow several third party apps to run concurrently and in the background.

An inability to run more than one application at a time is one of the most frequent criticisms of the iPhone OS – and the ability to multitask is often touted as a point of differentiation by rival handset makers. The new version of the iPhone OS is expected to launch this summer.

From a user-facing perspective, Apple plans to deliver a multi-tasking manager that leverages interface technology already bundled with its Mac OS X operating system, according to those same people. It was requested that specifics be withheld at this time, as the iPhone Software 4.0 remains under development and reportedly has a quite ‘way to go’ before it’s ready for prime time.

In order to unlock their handsets, O2 customers must meet the following criteria:
• You must be registered on O2.ie and the O2Forum.
• Prepaid customers must have topped up with a minimum €150 on the registered SIM card (this excludes bonus credits).
• You must have bought the phone from O2 Ireland.

Coleman also added that the company is currently taking unlock requests and will submit them to Apple if customers meet the criteria for unlocking when the services becomes available.

If you are O2 Ireland iPhone customer, you need to submit your IMEI code, a process which is explained in detail on the O2 forum.

According to online reports, Google is working on an edition of Google Nexus One for the developing markets like India and Russia that is likely to lack some of the features of the version being sold in the international markets.

The Indian model’s pricing is also likely to be less vis-a-vis Nexus One’s international pricing.
