This means that he can no longer signature hashes for users. Users who have saved their ECID SHSH information will have to wait for someone to build something to use that information. We will post more explaining this in the near future. In the meanwhile you may want to look at this (Windows, Mac) tutorial.

chronicdev has confirmed that the iPhone 3.1GM is still vulnerable

the new firmware does include a baseband upgrade which will cause you to lose your unlock unless you are on the iPhone 2G or have an iPhone 3G with the 5.8 bootloader. If you do have the 5.8 bootloader please note that no tools are available to perform the baseband downgrade yet.

it is NOT okay to update to 3.1 if you are jailbroken or might want to jailbreak in the near future. Good news for those Xbox console’s lovers now, the giant console maker has just confirmed the decision to lower the current retail price for its Xbox product lines.

The new price slash will put Xbox 360 Elite at the same price tag of $299, as similar to the new 120GB PS3 Slim version. Although it seems to be still lacking of Blu-ray drive as compared to PS3 console, but the direct Netflix support for online media streaming will able to bring in additional bonus for its subscribed users to compensate for its shortcoming.

At the same price, the Xbox 360 Pro will be priced at $249, while the Arcade series will sit at bottom price of $199 under Xbox 360 families so that they are well differentiated and fitted into different category of consumers’ needs. The price adjustment will be immediate effective by this week, ready before the holiday season and it is expected to drive a new wave of high end consoles, games and accessories purchase in this segment.

The new strategy would definitely benefit end users especially in current economic downturn. Meanwhile, some do hope Nintendo will follow the trend so that the its Wii could be more affordable for every household.

We’re excited that Nokia has chosen Obopay’s platform. Nokia’s leading market position, strong brand recognition and global distribution channel, using the Obopay platform with uniquely developed mobile elements, means the Nokia Money service is well positioned to bring the next generation of mobile payment services to the world,” said by Carol Realini, Founder and CEO of Obopay.

“We believe mobile financial services offer a market opportunity with long term growth potential. In many countries, mobile phone ownership significantly exceeds bank account usage, suggesting that many mobile phone users have very limited or no access to basic financial services. With more than 4 billion mobile phone users and only 1.6 billion bank accounts, global demand for access to financial services presents a strong opportunity to combine mobile devices with simple but powerful financial services such as Nokia Money”, said by Mary McDowell, EVP and Chief Development Officer, Nokia.

The Nokia Money service is based on Obopay’s mobile payment platform with unique and newly developed mobile elements. However, the Nokia Money is expected to show at Nokia World on the 2nd and 3rd of September 2009 in Stuttgart, Germany and is planned to be rolled out gradually in selected markets by beginning next year.
