Unlock I phone 3G and 3Gs with Any Baseband

Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G with iOS 4.2.1 and Redsn0w 0.9.6b5

( This will work with any baseband and any firmware on i Phone 3G)

you are wondering how to use redsn0w to jailbreak and unlock, you are at the right guide. This is a two stage process, first you jailbreak your iPhone with redsn0w and update the baseband, and then you unlock the iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G with ultrasn0w 1.2 unlock.

Download redsn0w 0.9.6b4 or download redsn0w 0.9.6b5 for Mac or Windows

Download iOS 4.2.1 IPSW that corresponds with the hardware that you want jailbroken

After you have downloaded redsn0w and the IPSW file, launch redsn0w 0.9.6b5 (Windows users must run redsn0w as Administrator in XP Compatibility Mode)

Click on “Browse”

Select the IPSW file you downloaded that corresponds to your iOS

Jailbreak only: In the next screen, select that you want to install Cydia

Unlock & Jailbreak: Select that you want to install Cydia, and also select that you want to install iPad baseband (this works with iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G)

If you have selected the iPad baseband, you will see a warning screen asking you to verify that you want to install the baseband update – this voids your warranty and you will not be able to downgrade or revert this update

Click “Yes” if you want to unlock and understand the ramifications of losing your warranty and permanently updating the baseband
Now follow the instructions in redsn0w to jailbreak and unlock the iPhone, turn it off then connect the iPhone to your computer and click “next”
Following the directions, put your iPhone into DFU mode by holding the Home and Power buttons together for 10 seconds, then release the power button and just hold onto the Home button for an additional 3 seconds
The i phone screen may flash
Click on “Finish” and the device will be jailbroken, if you chose to install the 06.15 baseband this will be installed too
NOTE: It’s a good idea to reboot your iPhone manually before trying to use Cydia

Now that the iPhone is jailbroken, you need to unlock the iPhone with ultrasn0w 1.2:

Once your iPhone has been rebooted, launch the newly installed Cydia
Tap “Manage” and then tap “Sources”
Tap on “Edit”
Tap on “Add” then enter the following URL for a repository: http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com
Then tap “Add Source”
Cydia will now update its sources
Search for “ultrasn0w 1.2″ within Cydia
Download and install ultrasn0w 1.2 and then restart your iPhone, this will unlock youriPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G
Enjoy your unlocked iPhone

Gevey SIM interposer, a TurboSIM-like piggy back sim card that allows you to unlock any iPhone 4. When we first wrote about it, we raised concerns about the legality of this method, and warned you that your carrier might not like you using this.

the Gevey SIM is indeed illegal in the US and most likely in other countries because it dials the 112 emergency number and hangs up right away…

Dialing this 112 phone number is basically like dialing 911 here in the US, which is illegal, unless you’re calling for a good reason of course.

Because the 112 call has to be made every time you reboot your unlocked iPhone, it will most likely get you in trouble in the long run. First, your SIM might be banned by the carrier, and you might even be banned as a customer.

Note : Dial 112 and hang up after the call is connected (Means One Signal Bar In Devise). The network issues a TMSI for your connection

The Next Step Toggle flight mode On/Off. What exactly happens is not too clear but apparently the interposer ROM block electrical connection to prevent the BB from detecting the fake IMSI

The signal bars appear, we are safe:-) That is after the network ignored the fake IMSI (which the phone has no knowledge of) but allowed the SIM onboard because it is able to validate that.

I Phone 4G - Downgreade From 4.3.1 to 4.3 / 4.2.1 Or 4.1

NOTE: This guide will only work if you have SHSH blobs saved for the respective firmware you downgrading to.

If you upgraded to iOS 4.3.1, a you want to downgrade back to iOS 4.3, iOS 4.2.1 or 4.1, simply follow the instructions posted below to downgrade iOS 4.3.1 on iPhone 4, 3GS, to iOS 4.3, iOS 4.2.1, and 4.1

You can downgrade iOS 4.3.1 to iOS 4.3, 4.2.1, 4.1 on iPhone 4, 3GS, . Follow the steps below to downgrade iOS 4.3.1 to 4.3/4.2.1/4.1 firmware using Tinyumbrella andediting Hosts file

Step 1: Download the required old ipsw firmware files. (Download links: iOS 4.3, iOS 4.2.1, iOS 4.1 )

Step 2: Put your device into DFU mode (not recovery mode).

Connect your iOS device to your computer.
Turn it off.
Start iTunes.
Hold Power and Home buttons together for 10 seconds or so.
Release Power button but keep holding the Home button until your computer recognizes a new USB device.
iTunes will now recognize your Device

Note: Your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch screen at this time should be blank (black in color), if not, then you are most likely in Recovery Mode, not DFU mode.

Step 3: Now trick iTunes into thinking that it is watching Apple servers, while in real, we are going to change the address to Saurik’s server. To do this:

Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ and locate “hosts” file.

Mac OS X users can get to “/etc/” directory by going through “Go –> Go to Folder” from Finder.

Open this “hosts” file in Notepad (for Windows) or TextEdit (for Mac OS X) and add this

Now simply save this file and you are good to go!

NOTE for Windows 7 and Vista: Start “Notepad” with Administrator privileges by right clicking on “Notepad” app, and click on “Run as Administrator“ option.
NOTE for Mac OS X: Make sure you have full read and write access on your account when you are saving the host file. If it still throws permission error, simply copy the host file to desktop, make the required changes, and then replace it with the original file in “/etc/” directory.

Step 4: Start iTunes, click on your iOS device icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold left “alt” (option) button on Mac, or Left “Shift” button if you are on Windows on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) button in the iTunes and then release this button.

This will make iTunes prompt you to select the location for your iOS 4.3, iOS 4.2.1 or 4.1 firmware file. Select the desired ipsw file and click on “Open” to restore your iOS device.

Now in some cases while restoring to iOS 4.3, iOS 4.2.1 or 4.1, iTunes might throw 1013 error at you as shown in the screenshot below

iTunes should bring up the error 1015, 1013 or 1011 message. Don’t worry, it’s normal. You’ve successfully downgraded your iPhone/iPod Touch firmware.

Step 5

To exit your device from Recovery Mode, download this program called TinyUmbrella (Windows/Mac). Run it and the click on “Exit Recovery” button. Your device will now restart normally.

Now in order to get out of recovery mode, hit the “Kick Device Out of Recovery” button on TinyUmbrella right below the Start TSS Server button or you can also . That’s it!

I Phone 4G - 4.3.1

To fully jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 untethered running on I Phone 4 , 3GS, iPad (1st-gen) and iPod touch

Sn0wbreeze 2.5 is now available for Windows users.

Step 1: First up, download all the required tools and files to your Windows desktop

Download and install iTunes 10.2.1 for Windows.
Download Sn0wbreeze 2.5 for Windows.
Download iOS 4.3.1 for iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

Step 2: Start Sn0wbreeze, click the next “blue” colored arrow to proceed.

Step 3: Select the required firmware .ipsw file for your iOS device by clicking on the “Browse” button.

Step 4: Sn0wbreeze will now identify the selected IPSW file. Once done, click the next “blue” colored arrow to proceed.

Step 5: Now select the “Expert Mode”, followed by “Build IPSW” option to start creating your custom firmware.

Note: If you relies on a unlock, proceed only by selecting “Baseband Preservation Mode” option instead of “Expert Mode”.

Step 6: Sn0wbreeze will greet you with the following “Done!” message when the custom firmware has been successfully created

Step 7: Now follow the onscreen steps to enter DFU mode using Sn0wbreeze:

Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds
Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds
You device should now be in DFU mode

If you have followed the steps correctly, you will get the following message from Snw0breeze

Step 8: Start iTunes, click on your iOS device icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold Left “Shift” button on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) button in iTunes and then release this button.

This will make iTunes prompt you to select the location for your custom firmware 4.3.1 file. Select the required custom .ipsw file that you created above, and click on “Open”

Step 9: Now sit back and enjoy as iTunes does the rest for you. This will involve a series of automated steps. Be patient at this stage and don’t do anything silly. Just wait while iTunes installs the new firmware 4.3.1 on your iOS device. Your iOS device screen at this point will be showing a progress bar indicating installation progress. After the installation is done, your iOS device will be jailbroken on iOS 4.3.1.

How-To Unlock iOS 4.3.1:
Ultrasn0w 1.2 is broken on iOS 4.3.1. Wait for the Dev-Team to push new version of Ultrasn0w to unlock (compatible basebands: 01.59.00 / 04.26.08 / 05.11.07 / 05.12.01 / 05.13.04 / 06.15.00).
