Hypnotic reality is a qualitative kind of reality typical of ericksonian psychotherapy: game activity is the best example of such a different reality. Playing games, every kind of game, is a universally recognized experience and it is the principal way of building interactions by improving the process of "tuning". In the ericksonian psychotherapy the process of "tuning" is a peculiar element of the therapeutic "rapport" that allows therapy moving on.

Entropy of the electroencephalogram has only recently been commercialized as a monitoring tool of the hypnotic component of anesthesia. In this pilot study two highly hypnotizable subjects, known to the author in previous sessions of clinical hypnosis, underwent an experimental hypnotic test with monitoring of the entropy of the electroencephalogram to assess the behavior of this neurophysiological parameter in hypnosis, as compared to relaxed state of wakefulness and to observe a possible congruence with the work of Prof. De Benedittis with the bispectral index.

The latest studies on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBS) demonstrate the efficacy of hypnosis, as a therapy for this type of disorder, for the 89% of patients. The aim of this article is to consider the possible clinical application of an hypnotic protocol for IBS After a brief introduction of the North Carolina Protocol (Palsson, 2006), one of the most employed for IBS, and of the results of the studies conducted to verify the efficacy of the protocol, the authors present an example of how this protocol can be adapted to a clinical situation. A case from the clinical experience of the authors is presented.

Genova - Un luogo per ricominciare, the 2008 film by Michael Winterbottom, present us, trough the story of a family, the appearance and evolution in the youngest daughter of the PTSD as diagnostic manual. Mysterious skin, the 2004 film by Gregg Araki, based on Scott’s Heim novel, takes us on very intensive, sometimes raw, trough the parallel stories of two teenagers and simultaneously perpendicular, to reflect on the limits of the manuals in considering the essence of trauma, from the Greek titroskein, abuse, indicating a wound, a laceration and possible outcomes the trauma experienced in childhood can have across the time.
