We are going to attend to Where 2.0 Conference that will take place in its fourth edition on May 12-14 in San Francisco. Where2.0 is one of the most important event worldwide about Neogeography and is organizated by O’Reilly (inventor of  Web 2.0 term) . Next may 21 will be  in Barcelona the second edition of Startup 2.0 contest to promote the best europeans Startups 2.0. The event is organized by Alianzo y La Caixa,  Jose Antonio del Moral y Jesús Monleón are co-chair of the event.

This year will be 10 finalists and 3 winners. Last year we were finalists between  15 semifinalists, and it was a wonderful experience, so we have decided to present our project again with a new brand and a lot of new exciting features ;-)

Now you can include any Ipoki map as a Widget at your Apple Dashboard and now is easier to add these maps to your Netvibes page. Only in just 2 mouse clicks.

We also have released Twitter application for Ipoki. Now you can see your twits as Ipoki comments and you can twit from the Ipoki plugin and the Ipoki comments. This is the first version and we are very excited because we think geolocated twits can be very useful.

To activate this new feature you have to go to your privacy settings and give you Twitter username and password. Afterwards you have to choose what kind of integration you want to do.

We have a new option to share your position only with friends and is the profile that we have put to all users. We have also a new server and will change our name from hipoqih to ipoki, in order to make it easier.

On Wednesday, December the 19th at 21:00 the hipoqih server will stop. We estimate that in one hour everything will be working again, and the migration of the data will result transparent for users. The plugins of version 0.2 will keep working with the new system. The new version has a lot of improvements and I hope you like it. You are going to get more information on users’ profile and more options for privacy.

All this from Thursday at 0:00

And finally I would like to express my appreciation to all the team that supports ipoki for their effort and the enthusiasm they are putting on it. It is a pleasure to work with them.
